When I got there, she gave me the only person open and said, "you said anyone." She said to trust her and continued to cover my cuticles with nail glue. Decided to come here on a whim since it was few places open on a late Sunday afternoon. I choose an ombré and he used airbrush to do the effects. I'm not sure if that's why it was so costly but it was $70 for it. I've done them in the past without airbrush more of a manual way and imo it comes out better. So it's pretty much my main reason for the 3 stars. Also, if I would of known the cost I would of chosen something else. It was my fault though for not asking ahead so I didnt bother. Had to get 1 nail repainted because it literally clumped up, another nail had a depression she tried to wipe and paint over it looked awful I had to insist it get repainted entirely and last but not least she left sharp corners and cut them all to different lengths. this review is soley based off my interaction with the guy at the front desk. He made my experience so unpleasant because I opted out of the digital phone #/email, address sign up they request at entry. I don't live in Florida and made it clear there was no point to enter my # or release my data to be spammed or texted or emailed. I just want a quick manicure. This man debated with me for 3/4 min about why I needed to do this in order to get service. If I could give zero, I would. I went to get a gel polish change on Valentine's day. The same night, they started peeling. This is after they couldn't figure out how to get them dried correctly. I called to see when I could come fix it, and they told me to wait until Monday (?!). This is absolutely RIDICULOUS!! Not to mention the fact that they confirmed an appointment, and then called me multiple times to ask me to come in earlier because it's "better for [them]." Why confirm an appointment you're not able to fulfill? The service has been subpar and I feel that a refund should be issued. Started to get my fill done and then had to switch because someone had made an appointment with the lady who started my nails. I don't understand why this spa has so many negative reviews. Walked in on Valentines Day with my friend and was immediately serviced by a nice woman named Lynn (or Lin). She was very efficient and a very sweet and sociable woman! The nails ended up exactly how I wanted- a sheer glitter gel polish on short almond shaped acrylics. My friend also got the normal gel manicure and it is very clean and even - no noticeable peeling so far. She also liked the nail tech who finished her manicure! Got a mani/pedi with some family for a holiday -paid full attention to hanging out with family and not looking at nails until done. Ughhhh. Looked down and it was basically a middle school paint job, only worse. Worse than that, woke up with rapid onset infection surrounding nailbed on foot. Yes () I also got a (first time) fungal infection of the nail, so please beware. This was time consuming and difficult to treat. No excuse for not properly sanitizing tools. I went also a week prior to ^^^ and had a terrible customer service experience. Chose a neutral off-white. When it came out of the bottle, it looked neon purple?? I was shown the color to see if I approved. I asked if I may switch and apologized. The nail tech got up and left for 22 minutes after indicating via body language that she was annoyed by my request to change colors. Sent someone else out to confirm a different color for me. I had asked prior to sitting down if I may abbreviate my appointment due to time constraints on my end. I asked if I could skip any extra services but still pay for them, intending also to tip accordingly for what would have been the full timeframe, despite being in a rush....so we did the 22 minutes thing, while I painfully and awkwardly sat there watching every second tick by. I looked over my shoulder and saw the tech fully eating lunch with all condiments out. When our eyes met, she kicked the break room door shut. I was upset because I explained my timeframe and asked whether I could be accommodated before sitting down. When she finally made her way back, she said "sorry. I had to eat my lunch"...I would've been more okay with everything if she did a great job, but it was a 5.5/10 for execution. I am so disappointed. This is the 2nd time I have been there since the reopening due to the pandemic, I have been a long time customer prior to covid, and I think they are just worn out or management wants them to skip some of the usual expected techniques of pedicure caretaking. I got my usual basic pedicure, the lady was very nice but other than lightly brushing my feet with a flimsy loofah sponge, lightly rolling the electric tool over the tops of my nails, pushing back cuticles and smearing water and lotion on my calves and finally painting my toes, nothing else was done. She did not clip, or clean underneath/sides of nail beds or shape them, nothing. She spent more time with the leg massage which I dont even care about, than actually caring for my feet. Usually after being treated by Bliss, or any other pedicure service, my feet are very soft, toes cleaned/shaped up and feeling brand new, and I literally had to go home and use my at-home DIY pedicure tools that I used during the shut down to finish the job myself. Not sure I will be back. This is a total bummer. I have referred so many people here due to the ambiance and meticulous care and quality, and that is gone. I hope they get back to business as usual and stop short changing their loyal customers. The color looks good. The lady was nice. But my bias about women providing pedicures has been corrected, because the gentleman who did mine today provided good service and an excellent leg massage. Upon arrival you will be required to initial a consent form in this era of COVID. A bit much, but okay. My classic pedicure ($25) came out great. Although to pick the color, I was given one of those nail rings, which I found strange with all the other COVID protections in place (how many people touch those in a day...an hour?). My young daughter came to get her nails done in the two o'clock hour with her friends. 6:00 and she leaves with nothing but disappointment. The nail technician tried to rush and take advantage of a young girl coming in without an adult and let my baby leave looking TERRIBLE! She nervously went back (with the support of her big sis who drove up there and was rudely dismissed by employees) and asked for them to be redone- they made her just sit and wait. At 6:00 when I was finally able to go raise hell, they had just begun removing her nails. By this time, her friends had to go home and leave her there alone. I requested a refund as compensation for the hours of waiting and anxiety of my daughter. I was told that they don't give refunds and one of the employees actually began to yell at me- I do appreciate the other employee who told her that her yelling was inappropriate. Listen, as I said in the shop, I don't even send food back at restaurants, people who know me would be shocked, but the way my daughter had been taken advantage of was obvious. It takes a lot for me to get angry, but I was so there. We have gotten our nails done at Bliss a few times between me and my daughters, but we will never go again! The salon is very nice and clean. They had many choices for dip powder, the nail lady helped me pick because I was having a hard time choosing a "pale pink with sparkles." I love the color we decided on and she did a fantastic job. My natural nails were really long when I came in and she did a great job shaping them. My daughter-in-law recently moved to Oviedo and my wife and I recently moved to nearby Sanford. Although I've been a runner for 40 years and have had innumerable black nails and nails that fell off due to the stress of running long distances, I had never had a pedicure until I had one at Bliss. I chose the "Bliss" treatment which includes massage with hot stones along with the usual amenities. I decided to get my big toes colored and decorated with Mickey Mouse ears since I'm a season pass-holder at Disney World. I couldn't believe what I'd been missing not getting regular pedicures. My feet and legs felt wonderful afterward. I've been back for pedicures twice since my first and intend to make it a regular stop. This is my first time actually going to the salon and try to get a dip nail. I was so confused at first but when I just say dip, with tip, and coffin they got it right away. They made me felt really safe and clean despite all the corona virus that have been spreading everywhere. There are screen protectors between you and the nail specialists, and to add on to that they provide you with masks as well that you can bring home later.
