After driving an hour to get there, I was informed upon arrival that my appointment had been canceled. I was told a voicemail had been left, but I never received it. What was most frustrating was that the staff made me feel as though accommodating me was an inconvenience, despite the cancellation being completely outside of my control. The experience only became more disappointing from there. During the treatment, I was told that this was merely a "demo" and that I should not expect any results. At no point in the promotion, booking process, or appointment confirmations was the service described as a demonstration treatment. Had that been disclosed upfront, I could have made an informed decision about whether the trip was worth my time. In total, I spent two hours driving round trip and nearly 1.7 hours at the office for a treatment that I was ultimately told was not intended to produce results. The lack of communication, poor handling of the scheduling issue, and misleading expectations surrounding the promotion left me feeling that my time was not valued. I hope Sanctuary Cosmetics improves its communication and transparency so future clients have a better experience than I did.

That was what was told to me by a friend who tried somewhere else first, it didn't work, then came here. I have brown hair and fair skin. My understanding of laser hair removal is you need a tech who is experienced working with your skin color and hair type, it matters in hair removal. Mclean Laser Center was recommended to me by a friend with blond hair and fair skin, and a friend with dark skin and dark hair and it worked for both of them. Tips: Park in the lot across the street that doesn't appear to be connected to anything. Don't park by the building, there are so many restrictions, and don't park in a lot for another business on the same side of the road, you aren't allowed and i have had a note left on my car that the next time it will be a ticket. If you don't already have a package, you will be required to pay a deposit. They do match groupon prices. Make sure you aren't taking any antibiotics when you come, and certain medicines that affect the skin (like accutane or retinol (i think?) anything that makes you more sensitive to the sun) cause you can't get laser while on those medicines. Once you make the appointment you will need to confirm it a few days before. Be sure to tip! PS - YES IT DOES HURT!

Also, it appeared the parking for visitors is limited as there are a number of reserved spots for other businesses. Upon walking into the office the woman who greeted me at the front desk was nice and welcoming. I didn't wait long after checking in for my appointment so that was nice. I also didn't wait long for the doctor after changing my clothes. Dr. Moore was thorough with her skin evaluation and answered all of my additional questions. I did feel maybe I hit question limit lol, but all my questions did get answered. She gave me some sunscreen samples and made some suggestions. They offer medspa services but they don't try to upsell you. They just give you a list of what they offer. I was in and out before my hour of free parking lapsed. Overall, I'll likely be back next year for my annual skin screening.

But lo and behold, I found this clinic that must have been sent from the heavens, because after being tossed around from doctor to doctor, they're the only ones who have been able to clear my skin! One of the things to keep in mind is that because this clinic is mostly for cosmetic procedures, they do not accept insurance. I must admit, I was a little bit skeptical when they said they don't accept insurance, but I'm so glad I gave them a try or else I would've missed this gem. Every penny I paid had been worth it. I was assessed by Dr. Hayre (the dermatologist), and she prescribed me some topicals as well as an oral medication. She also recommended I do isolaz once a week, which I have been doing regularly. Ratana does my isolaz treatments each week, and she is fantastic! I always look forward to the appointments with her, she's so fun to talk to and is super gentle with the treatment and the extractions (which usually hurt so bad!!). I also have to thank them for being so accommodating toward me. My job is very hectic and sometimes I end up having to stay longer than expected, which makes it hard for me to make it to appointments on time sometimes. Every time this has happened the front desk has been nothing but patient and work hard to make sure that I can make it. They're amazing! Bottom line: if you want amazing skin, COME HERE!
