I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Sanctuary Cosmetics. I booked a Venus treatment through a promotion and received text confirmations all the way up to the morning of my appointment. After driving an hour to get there, I was informed upon arrival that my appointment had been canceled. I was told a voicemail had been left, but I never received it. What was most frustrating was that the staff made me feel as though accommodating me was an inconvenience, despite the cancellation being completely outside of my control. The experience only became more disappointing from there. During the treatment, I was told that this was merely a "demo" and that I should not expect any results. At no point in the promotion, booking process, or appointment confirmations was the service described as a demonstration treatment. Had that been disclosed upfront, I could have made an informed decision about whether the trip was worth my time. In total, I spent two hours driving round trip and nearly 1.7 hours at the office for a treatment that I was ultimately told was not intended to produce results. The lack of communication, poor handling of the scheduling issue, and misleading expectations surrounding the promotion left me feeling that my time was not valued. I hope Sanctuary Cosmetics improves its communication and transparency so future clients have a better experience than I did. read more

I have been a client at Sanctuary Cosmetic Center for several years and I can not say enough wonderful things about Dr Rostami and her staff. I had been wanting to get a facelift for several years but I was honestly afraid. I met Dr Rostami when I needed a medical procedure due to drooping eyelids affecting my field of vision. She did such and amazing job and made me feel so comfortable that I followed up with a mini facelift, injectable and other procedures, I am also a client of the practice's Master Medical Aesthetician Alyssa Souza, In addition to CO2 treatments, Alyssa has worked wonders treating my severe loose and crepey skin (due to significant weight loss at an older age). I first started with the Matrix Pro and was very happy with the results, I am currently using the new Venus NOVA procedure and after only one treatment I can tell you that for me this is a winner! Of the many things I value at this practice is that what is that the patient concerns come first. In fact, I have inquired about procedures that some in the industry would give me for the additional revenue. However, Dr Rostami and her staff will be honest with you and tell you what procedures they feel you need and that will give you the best results. The front staff are extremely sweet and kind. The doctor, however, I can't say the same. No bedside manner AT ALL. I had a consult and she was condescending and rude. She immediately told me what was wrong with my face in such a condescending way. She wouldn't let me get any words in, it was only about what was wrong with my face and how I needed to figure out what caused my issue. I went in for a liposuction consultation. The front staff were kind and welcoming. I was then called back by an assistant who asked what I was there for. I explained. Then Dr. Rostami and a fellow, Dr. Choi came in. Dr. Rostami spent 1-2 minutes with me. She's cold and curt and asked if I had considered fat injections in my face. I thought that the unsolicited suggestion was odd since I was there about my abdomen, not face. I tried to ask her a couple of questions and she said, Dr. Choi would answer them. She then left and Dr. Choi explained the procedure with me. Dr. Choi's affect was flatter than a robot's. Overall, a strange and not positive experience. The Sanctuary Cosmetics Center experience was like going to a bad car dealership. First you see the salesperson, then the salesperson disappears to "talk to the manager," finally you're taken to financing where the whole agreement you just negotiated with the salesperson has changed. I went in for eyelid surgery at The Sanctuary Cosmetics Center. A procedure I had, had done many years ago. I knew what to expect and how it was done. I was very, very specific about what I wanted. They assured me, like a good salesperson would, that I would be satisfied. After I healed and saw the results, I returned to the Doctors office in tears. I had paid them $5000+, been very specific about what I wanted and got NO results! Their response: "[ I] should have gotten a different type of surgery." HUH? What? Why didn't they tell me that beforehand? Before taking my $5000+? After many weeks of calling and calling, finally Sanctuary Cosmetics Center said they would perform the correct surgery at minimum costs to cover the anesthesia. I agreed and was appreciative. When I returned to start the paperwork, they routed me again! They said I should have an additional procedure done, too at more expense. When I refused to have the additional work done, they completely reneged and rescinded the offer to correct the earlier mediocre job. - Bate and Switch Car Dealership - PS: Rostami, you can buy a Bentley but you can't buy integrity. read more

After researching for over a year, I felt I had found the ideal provider. The evening before my appointment, I opened the Maps app to plan my route. To my disbelief, I discovered a 3 star yelp rating. In a time when reviews are too often bought, it's hard to know who to believe so I instantly panicked and cancelled. I went back to square one; researching the best providers in proximity to me. My research lead me full circle, back to Dr Rostami. You won't find a physician more qualified than her. I've looked. You also won't find another site with a low star rating. I've scoured high and low. Ultimately, I decided to make the 8 hour round trip; deciding that it was worth my time to at least entertain the free consultation. And Im so grateful I did! My results speak for themselves but it was my experience that sold me. Dr. Rostami was genuine and kind. I've been a nurse for close to twenty years, I've seen incompetence. I've seen arrogance and I'm all too familiar with providers who are only in it for the money- I never for a second doubted Dr Rostami's competence or her investment in my results. She frequently apologized during my procedure because she sensed I was uncomfortable. I elected to forgo the topical analgesic because I knew that topical lidocaine wasn't going to numb the tissue beneath my skin. I was, however, terrified of how much the cannula part was going to hurt. To my surprise, the needle used to puncture the skin felt worse than the cannula itself. Now the sensation of the cannula probing so close to my eye definitely heightened my anxiety and I suspect that was what Dr. Rostami actually misinterpreted as discomfort. She suggested injecting one syringe initially and adding any additional at my follow up visit if I felt I needed it. I was given a quote that aligned with the fee listed on their site and no one tried to upsell me. It was evident pretty quickly that one syringe wasn't going to give me the results I desired so I opted for a second syringe. I was asked twice before the second dose if I was okay with the additional fee and then at check out, I was asked again. I had very minimal swelling a few hours after the procedure and maybe a tiny bit today but so far no bruising. The area is slightly tender to touch but otherwise unnoticeable. It's only the day after my procedure so I'm not sure if bruising will develop later on. PHOTO DISCLOSURE-- I failed to snap a before picture because I was in the mindset that I wouldn't go through with this. So the before picture is with makeup, the after is barefaced. It's my belief that the makeup actually masks the true severity of fat loss I've suffered. The after far exceeds my expectations. If you're on the fence, just do it. It's truly life changing! She was talking to me as if I'm a moronne I do not know what I was talking about. She has no bedside manners. She is also overpriced compared to other Dr in the same area. What I should have noticed before is that this doctors office does not have pictures on their website of before and after of lip injections. That should have been a red flag but I went with the fact that over all they had great reviews it was in a great location I was shopping for a new doctor and wanted to give them a try. Went in the office is beautiful everyone is extremely nice but this is why I gave them a 2 star. I have had my lips done before and it was that time to have them redone. I knew exactly what I wanted I showed pictures to the consultant she stated hold off and show them to the doctor. She quoted me one price then the doctor came in spoke to her went over everything again she stated to achieve to look I wanted to had to get the level up no problem it was a little bit more money o was okay with that because I asked more then few times are you sure this is how they are going to look when your done. Of course I was told yes absolutely. Went did the injections asked her when she was done are they going to look like this again she stated yes the swelling will happen the next day. Very true but after that a week later it didn't look like I had anything done so I had some left made my follow went back waited over 1 hr past my appointment time. Went back explained my concerns she injected me with what I had left and wanted me to buy more that was not the conversation we had in the beginning. I paid $400 more here for my visit then anywhere's else because I wanted results and I expected for the doctor to be upfront with me and that didn't happen. Not a great experience at all. My husband has had cancer the last year and a half and I started to feel as if I'd aged 20 years. I wanted to at least do some Botox so I wouldn't look so exhausted. I did a lot of research and found Sanctuary. Dr. Rostami seemed like a good choice so I made an appointment. While the staff is truly lovely, it does feel a bit like a car dealership. I was with a staff member who was getting information from me and Dr. Rostami came in, looked at my face and rattled off a bunch of things. Then left, while the staff member came up with a list of different procedures/surgeries they suggested at more than $30,000. The more stuff you have done, the more discounts they give you. I'm in my sixties and felt it was all so insensitive. I was then given numbing cream and left to sit for a half hour while it took effect. I expressed to staff members and Dr. Rostami that I didn't want Botox in my forehead because I had a previous bad experience where I was given too much and my eyes became hooded which looked horrible and was uncomfortable. I was reassured by Dr. Rostami that it would be fine. Well, guess what? I ended up with very arched eyebrows and the inner part of my eyes hooded so I look like I have cat eyes. It just looks awful. She booked me three weeks later for a touch up session if needed. I drove more than an hour in rush hour traffic to get there and waited nearly a half hour for her to see me. When Dr. Rostami finally came in the room, I showed her the area I was unhappy with. She said there was nothing she could do about it, told the staff member that next time they should use less Botox in the forehead, said "Sorry" and left the room. She was there less than a minute! I didn't feel cared for or cared about. When the Botox wears off, I will not be going back. Very disappointing. read more

Although my unfortunate association with Dr. Rostami is more than 2 years ago, I am writing this review because I am still am living with the poor (to put it mildly) results of having her inject filler into my tear troughs. While the results are/were not good in anyway, my experience all around was terrible. I know I have to take on some of the responsibility because I agreed to do this. That said I would not be writing such a negative review if she had demonstrated care and interest rather than dismissing my concerns. Based on my experience and other reviews, she really needs to work on patient relations. At the consult I explained that I had been through 2 bad experiences with filler in my tear troughs and wanted to discuss having a lower lid bleph. I wanted to bite the bullet and go for a lower lid bleph; I had no intentions of having filler injected in that area again. I had read up and felt I had done my research on Dr. Rostami and felt for a variety of reasons including mostly very favorable reviews that she was worth a visit for a consult. Her assessment was that the previous filler had not been placed correctly and that she recommended doing it again with Restylyn. Given my previous bad experiences, I would think she might have asked some questions/probed some to learn more but that did not happen and in hindsight, I feel she did not take the time to adequately assess if filler was the way to go. Of course, no one had a gun to my head though here is a highly skilled doctor that is supposed to be an expert with fillers, she has mostly favorable reviews (nothing negative re: fillers), I couldn't stand how I looked, and I am being offered a "discount" so, I went for it and have regretted it every day since the day after to the present. The outcome is/was not good at all. Even though I had previously bad experiences with filler, it was nothing like this. I knew the next morning that it had not gone well, and I was right. Even weeks later Dr. Rostami was saying it was fine and suggesting that I needed even more filler! I acknowledge there was still some hollowness but if you saw what I looked like, you would not think it looked pretty good and that I just needed some more filler. My eyes were a puffy mess. I don't know if it was technique or too much product or both but again, not good results!! Perhaps telling her I had not reacted well in the past should have told her something. As a result I had to have the filler dissolved and I believe it's this last course of filler and dissolver that really did me in. My lower eyelids have never been the same. One eye has what another doctor thinks is permanent edema. No matter what I have tried, it won't resolve. So here is what made matters even worse and the main reason for writing this. The next day I woke up and knew history was repeating itself even though it is normal to have some swelling and bruising. Although it was only the next day, I was concerned so I called the office, they were not open yet and the recording provided phone numbers for the doctors. Assuming cell phone numbers were being provided, I sent Dr. Rostami a text asking her to call me when she had a moment because I was concerned. She did call me back in a timely manner however I was practically in tears after the call. Rather than talking me through my concerns and suggesting things I could do to possibly help mitigate the swelling, I was scolded and found her to tone to be harsh and unsympathetic. During the call she asked, "what do you want me to do? I told you there would be swelling". So, the next day I felt I needed to send her an email explaining why I had been concerned and sort of apologizing for "bothering" her. As a patient, I should have never been made to feel I needed to apologize but at that point I was still her patient and wanted to smooth things over. With the message, I sent her some pictures, and she wrote back the pictures show that it is fine. Well, it was not fine. Although I had a follow-up scheduled for 2 weeks later (which I decided to postpone), she never followed up to see how I was doing. I would think given my concerns; she would have checked in with me but there was no communication with her until I reached out again about 3 weeks later via email with more pictures of poor results. Her response was simply to please make an appointment to come in. At that point I decided I was not going to return to her further correction or treatment. She clearly has satisfied patients so I guess it's hit or miss. I wouldn't recommend her on two counts. For her skill if you're considering filler in the eye area but just as important in a different way her abysmal "bedside" manner. read more

I would give this place a 0 stars if I could. This is a practice that has no integrity and no moral code. My mother went in for an eye filler treatment for the first time and the doctor/nurse explained how this would be a one-time treatment to fix her issue and that after every 4/6 months she would need to come back for a tune up essentially. My mother spoke with them, she called me (her son) to speak with them about the procedure and my brother. So 3 people spoke with them about the procedure confirming all the details necessary before paying and undergoing the treatment. After the treatment was complete and after 2 weeks we found that it wasn't complete and once my mom went back to them for the post op checkup they said she needed a total of 3 treatments totaling up to 7,500 in order to fully fix her issue. This is reprehensible to say the least after 3 people confirmed with them before doing this procedure that it was a one and done they come back and lie about this. I was incensed and called them myself and the doctor DR. SOHEILA ROSTAMI lied on the phone saying she wasn't the doctor and couldn't easily explain the situation but just accusing us of not knowing what we all were talking about. After not being able to get through with her I then spoke with a gentleman named Abdul he was just trying to defend his practice and was not trying to get to a solution after our arguments he said he would call me in a day to come with a resolution and I agreed. He never called after one full week so I had to call the practice back 4 TIMES during my own working hours in order to get this man back on the phone with me. Once getting him back on the phone he apologized saying he was "busy" after a whole week of waiting, that's a spit in the face and they were just hoping we wouldn't bring this back up and this issue would just pass. He told me they wanted us to come in again and show us the differences between the before and after with the doctor and himself in order to prove the progress and that they would do the other procedures at market rate" where they wouldn't profit off it'' and we agreed to show up. Upon showing up Abdul was nowhere to be found during our meeting once we asked the doctor for him she didn't know who he was and "never heard of him" making us look both dumb and stupid for asking. She did show us the before and after pictures and they were not the same angle and lighting which makes it almost impossible to accurately show a difference (which didn't matter btw since we were arguing it should be fixed completely not progress) and she said it was her nurses fault for the back pictures. She also said there was nothing they could do except continue doing the other 2 procedures at full price, no mention of market rate, no apology no nothing so we just left extremely furious, frustrated and angry. This is a practice and doctor that does not take accountability, has no integrity and doesn't give a damn about their patients or rather customers as they just see people come in as wallets with a disposable income. Please DO NOT give your precious time, energy and money to this fraudulent practice. My mother has had sleepless nights because of these people I hope they receive true karma for their actions in making us look false and dumb. God is just and this will not go un-passed. read more

But I just walked out of the Sanctuary Cosmetic Center for a follow up appointment because I waited 50 minutes for my appointment and who knows how much longer I would have had to wait. When I walked into the office no one was at the front desk - 15 minutes later someone came out and finally acknowledged me. I get it - it's a busy time of year and busy place but with the prices you pay you shouldn't feel ignored. In the past at other places no matter how busy they were I was always in and out. I hate to write a negative review, but the service and outcomes here are unacceptable for the price you pay. The inside is modern and nice. The support staff is very kind as well. However, the doctor I had, Rostami, was incredibly rude and does not listen to her patients. I not only spent 2600, but brought a friend that gave them considerable business. First, Rostami did not put in my fillers equally and was angry at me at my touch up appointment when I asked her to even then out. It looked horrible and was unacceptable. Also, I went back for a second touch up for the Botox in my forehead and still, 2 months later, my forehead is wrinkled. I paid for the region so there is no excuse not to have this look correct. She clearly under injected. Moreover, at one of my touch ups she used a different brand than I paid for. When I said something, she said it does not matter and just stuck me. When I left the second touch up she did not even say goodbye or speak to me after she finally fixed a part of my forehead that she clearly missed and looked horrible. I will not be back. I would not recommend this place or this doctor. Maybe the other doctor is better (not sure). read more

I came here a few months ago for a consultation, I immedetly felt at ease and confident they would provide the service I was seeking. Upon entering I was greeted warmly by a very friendly woman at the front desk. She made sure I was comfy and offered refreshments as I awaited my consult time. I was taken back and met Dr. Nazemezadeh, she was also very friendly. She did an evaluation after I told her why I was there. She had her assistant print out her recommendations for me and told me whenever I was ready she'd be there. I did not feel rushed or pressured at all... I'm sure it was all stretigic but very well done. This is the kind of manipulation that gets people out of bed in the morning. At any rate I shopped around and found myself back at sanctuary. Not because their prices was lower but because I was intrigued. I felt confident they knew their stuff. So I had my procedure done and I'm happy . I wanted more but she urged me to wait awhile and then come back if I needed to... This is how you build relationships and have repeat cliental. ofcourse I'll be going back.
