The staff working on the night of 8/6/2025 was very unfriendly. Three employees were standing by the door when I walked in and they just looked at me and continued their conversation. One of these employees (glasses, gray or blonde hair in the front) literally made eye contact with me while I was by the perfumes and still did not speak. Please respect the value of your customers' money, time, and shopping experience. While I do generally feel like this store is always well stocked, I won't return due to the coldness. read more

This Sephora specifically provides the customer with consistent rude and u helpful experiences. I've lived in the area and tried this location specifically for many years now and to no avail little to no improvements have been made in regards to customer service and the overall experience. Even less so if you're a woman of color, be prepared to be followed around the store and skeptically looked at. Most recently on in the beginning of this August, 2025 I came in to inquire if I could return a set; of which I've never purchased before so I was unsure about their return policy. I ask if it is able to be returned (with all products include and original packaging of course), the attendant calls over a manager by the name of Fatima who looks at me, then the product, and when the attendant asked if the return was possible simply looked back at me and said "no". I was surprised by her answer since having a customer service background, had I been in that position I would explained to the customer why it couldn't be done and if there's anything I could do to help or try and rectify the situation. All I got was "no". I made a review 2 years ago, it still stands. If you'd like to be politely profiled and greeted with off putting energy and entitlement, do come to Sephora at Mosaic. Otherwise, go to Springfield or Tysons. read more

They have nice employees. I do like them at this store. The men and women here are helpful. There's no doubt about that. This is more of a store for the ladies, and that's totally ok for this Virginia gentleman. The store does business with mostly beauty products and the like. Lots of different makeup and other products. To their credit they have a good cologne section. If you're a fan of Chanel or Terra Hermes, you'll be quite pleased. Nothing against them, as have the Blue de Chanel that the ladies dig. Yet their stock can be low on this, and I'd like to see more from Armani. Cologne is subjective, but not enamored with D&G. They have plenty of choices from this house. Also their sales are far and few between. If you use the Rakuten app, you can do better with their competitors. This store is fine. It seems to have plenty of stock, most of the basic products that you'd expect to find at a Sephora. But I've gone in lots of times and never felt the urge to buy anything. It doesn't spark that joy of other Sephora locations that make me want to shop around. They layout feels a bit snug. The few times I've asked for help, employees didn't seem especially knowledgeable about products. I'll probably stick to shopping online or at a different location. read more

My beauty bag has significantly improved since they opened this Sephora at Mosaic Center. It is not as large as Fair Oaks or Tysons but they are always stocked up on the newest beauty brands and classic favorites so I am never in need. The staff is really friendly -- they coo at my baby, give me samples when I need it, and are great at recommending products. In fact, I've found several holy grail items thanks to their knowledge and patience. Thank you! It's my second time coming here and the staff just glare at you. They don't speak, great you when you walk in, ask if you need help, and overall are just really passive. It's not all that bad, but it's not that friendly and helpful either. Their tester display of Ilia tinted serum has all of the shades, but the stock that is behind the testers only had the lighter shades to be able to chose from. They also had "no sample cups" for me to get a sample of a foundation. All in all, I'm not impressed. read more

1/23/21 The first thing I noticed about this place is that Sephora no longer had the black and red shirt/dresses. The uniforms then changed to black and white strip shirt/dress. The manager and Michelle told me the uniforms are going to be changing again. In the meantime, everyone staff member just wears all black. Hey, Black and Purple would be very nice, but I digress. The hospitality of each staff member was wonderful. I especial love seeing women with eyeliner. Especially when it is combined with black and blue or green, red, purple...you get the point. I believe the look(s) are called The Arabian, The Eye Drop and The Creative Wings looks are my personal favorite...yes, you know know something that gets my attention ladies. The duel combination of black and another color is an eye catcher for me. So are boots, but I digress. This Sephora is very close to home and easy to get to. We just might be make more stops here when my wife gets her makeup. I just hope this Coronavirus Pandemic ends and we can all go back to seeing each other's faces. read more

Even they are not doing anything talking to each other white lady .especially the two taller i think are new. even trying to show they are nice. but they are not. All the younger girls so nic. I went to this Sephora for help finding a color corrector. This first salesperson I found had no idea what I was talking about. He talked to a colleague and she didn't know either. They treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about so I left. Very disappointing. I thought Sephora was supposed to help you find beauty products and learn how to use them! read more

I had a really different experience than many of the reviews indicate. I found the staff to be lovely, helpful, and efficient. I walked in around lunchtime and I was in a hurry. I was looking for the latest version of this Clinique concealer I had long ago. I was greeted by a young man with a ponytail (I wish I got his name--he was awesome!) who led me right to what I was looking for. He showed me the updated features (there are now two ways to apply it--yay!) He did a quick color match by putting a couple shades on his own arm and comparing to my face. What wizardry! He narrowed it to the right shade and got me a disposable due foot to try it out. Perfect. Match. I'm happy there's a Sephora in Mosaic now! read more

Me and my aunt went here few months ago. We went around and got some things but the whole time a worker was following us. Once we got to the cashier to pay this worker behind the cashier came in to help since the cashier didn't know what we were talking about. She started to be very passive aggressive to us. This location is convenient for so many people. The store is laid out nicely. However, I have been in this store multiple times and the associates were either rude or on top of you. I worked in cosmetic retail for 6 years, I was an artist/business manager for Clinique, Tom Ford and Nars. Never in my experience have I ever seen such poaching for sales. I also notice the turn over for employees since the opening has been high. Please reevaluate your management team as pressure and scheduling in cosmetic retail can cause serious burn out. Makeup is about expression and helping others find what makes them feel confident and beautiful. Yes, profitability matters for a business to function but I promise if you give amazing service without pressure and prodding the sales do come. read more

Me and my friends just wanted to shop in peace, but we got told by 4 different employees to make sure we keep our masks on even though it was 100% on the entire time. if we even dared to touch/adjust our mask or face, they would yell at us from afar to keep our masks on in such a rude manner. it got really annoying because we were figuring out what to buy, but they walked through us to remind us to keep our masks on. one time was enough, but 4 times got really annoying so we left. I booked an appointment for full face make up about a week in advance. Two people greeted me right when I walked in and guided me to the make up chair. Katherine was the artist who did my make up. I explained that I wanted to recreate a look that different stylist had done on me in the past and showed her photos. She did an amazing job recreating it! She was receptive to my feedback along the way and even answered some questions about my routine make up application at home. Everyone I encountered was professional and kind. I'll be booking this service again for special occasions in the future. read more

The staff here is so rude, my friend got yelled at by one of the staff to keep her mask on, when she was just moving hair out of her face. She apologized to the employee, but she responded back with a lot of attitude and seemed like she wanted to hear excuses. Sephora offers "store pickup," and there are curbside pickup parking spaces in front of the store. HOWEVER, store pickup means you have to go inside the store to pick up your items! What's the point? Had I known that I would have to inside and take a covid risk, I would have ordered mail delivery. Their online ordering system is misleading. "In store" pick up does nothing to reduce covid transmission. read more
