Communication and project management were inconsistent throughout the job, which required far more homeowner oversight and repeated follow-up than we expected just to keep work moving. Several workmanship and finish-quality issues arose during the project, including items that remained unresolved near the end. A walkthrough was conducted, the full balance ($50,835) was paid, and the county completed the final inspection and issued the Certificate of Occupancy. Despite this, remaining finish items were not completed and follow-up stopped. Closeout communication also became unnecessarily confrontational despite our consistent good-faith efforts to resolve issues and bring the project to a proper conclusion. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this company.

Atlanta Painting Company (APC) was hired by our GC to paint our new 6,500 SF $3M primary residence…read more This was literally the worst painting experience of my career and I've developed several billion dollars of residential real estate across the country. APC lacks details and follow-through and lacks the manpower and supervision to complete a quality paint job. They do horrible prep work, which is literally half the battle when it comes to painting. Poor prep work will 100% of the time result in poor paint work. What was originally supposed to be a 30-day paint job turned into a 120-day nightmare where two supervisors were replaced and the third guy couldn't finish the job either so APC pulled offsite and presumably crossed their fingers I would not sue them. APC did such a terrible job on the first round of paint that a new supervisor inspected the work (Alejandro) and was so embarrassed at the quality (or lack thereof) that he brought in a new crew to fix the issues. The second crew was just as bad as the first so they brought in a third crew and a new supervisor (Brent). The third crew did a better job but was unable to resolve dozens of items around the house that literally any other painter could've resolved. I've asked Wes and Chris - the two owners - to complete the job but they refuse. They also are not responding to warranty issues. Our GC builds multimillion dollar homes all over Atlanta and he says APC is by far the worst painter he has ever used. I agree. I don't trust ANY of the 5 star reviews I've read about APC. There's no way 100% of their customers are 100% satisfied with their work. It's terrible quality and they are extremely difficult to work with.

5 Stars - Honest, Skilled, and Great to Work With…read more I hired Perez Painting Pro Renovation for several major home improvement projects, including building a custom indoor Finnish cedar sauna, remodeling a bathroom, repairing extensive wood rot (new studs, wallboard, windows, and siding), replacing decking, and painting. It was a big job with a lot of moving parts, and choosing the Perez brothers turned out to be one of the best decisions I made. I originally chose them because their quote was fair, but what really sold me was Santos himself. He was honest, straightforward, and gave me confidence that his team could handle everything--from carpentry and electrical to plumbing--without me having to juggle multiple contractors, even for the custom sauna. I knew I was dealing with someone I could trust during our first meeting. Santos noticed that my under-cabinet kitchen lights weren't working and showed me how to fix them with a $30 part from Amazon and about 20 minutes of work. Another contractor had quoted me $1,800 to replace the entire system. That one conversation told me a lot about his character. Another thing I appreciated was that Santos, his brothers, and their crew are the ones who actually do the work. They aren't just selling the job and handing it off to subcontractors. They take pride in what they do, and it shows. Once the project started, they showed up early every morning, worked hard all day, cleaned up before leaving, and often stayed into the evening to keep things moving. Communication was always good, and if I had a question or wanted to change something, Santos was easy to reach and happy to talk it through. The quality of the work was excellent across the board, but the sauna is definitely the highlight. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are incredible, and it's become our family's favorite room in the house. We use it almost every day. It's not often you find a contractor who's skilled, dependable, honest, and reasonably priced.
