    Paint bubbles

In October 2023, I hired the Atlanta Painting Company for a large exterior painting project on my home after receiving a very strong personal recommendation from my aunt and uncle. I trusted this company with my home and invested thousands of dollars expecting professional, high-quality, long-lasting work. Instead, this experience has turned into a long, exhausting, and deeply frustrating ordeal. Not long after the job was completed, paint bubbles began appearing in multiple areas. It was immediately obvious that parts of the home had not been properly caulked, sealed, or closed. For a project of this size and cost, seeing these issues was shocking and extremely disappointing. Since then, I have contacted Atlanta Painting Company several times asking for help and accountability. In 2024, they came out three different times, including once with a Sherwin-Williams specialist, to assess the problem and determine a solution. It resulted in the repaint of the bubbling areas and caulking and sealing the columns. In 2025, the paint bubbles appeared again. I reached out once more and was told someone would follow up, which they did not. After contacting them again, a representative said they could come out. I immediately responded, rearranging my schedule and making myself available. Then--nothing. No follow-up. No response. No accountability. Since that last attempt to get help, the condition of my home has continued to deteriorate. More bubbles have appeared, and in areas on the front of the house, the paint is now so thin that you can actually see through it--almost like looking at someone's ribcage beneath skin. It is embarrassing, upsetting, and painful to see my home in this condition after paying so much money for professional work. What makes this even worse is the emotional toll of repeatedly asking for help and being ignored. I expected care, follow-through, and pride in workmanship from the Atlanta Paint Company. Instead, I am left feeling dismissed, frustrated, and completely unsatisfied. I paid thousands of dollars for this project and trusted Atlanta Painting Company to stand behind their work. Unfortunately, this experience has left me feeling let down and regretful. I am sharing this review to honestly express my disappointment and to warn others that unresolved issues and lack of follow-through have been my reality dealing with the Atlanta Painting Company.

Patchwork on the ceiling is not sanded after repair.

Great job painting but challenging to get a return call for touch up after the job was complete. The ceiling where they did repair was not sanded before they painted it.

2nd area that APC still hasn't addressed 12 days after the job was considered done.

I contracted APC two weeks ago for a fascia and wood trim repair job on our home after they matched a competitor's lower price. APC's communication, initially, was good regarding what I could expect about their work and their scheduling. (Perhaps it must have been the fact that they didn't have all of my money, yet.) However, when they failed to clean up sufficiently after the job was done, I began to suspect something else was amiss. By that time, though, they had all of the money. That's not the worst part, either. Upon finally doing my walkthrough three days after the APC crew finished the job, I had another vendor (pest control) stop by and notice two very apparent defects in the work only because he was at our home to debug a possible roof pest issue. The fascia work was incomplete and wood at the top portion of the house looked to be painted over and not actually repaired. He reported those defects to me while the Project Manager was at the house alongside him. God was watching that day, because I don't know anything about trim and fascia. I brought it to the PM's attention and he immediately noticed what was wrong. This was after two other sets of APC eyes had been on the job (pre and during). That's three APC employees that should have noted the problem and two of them were tasked with fixing it. It took a non-painter to begin setting things right on this job. Top this off with the fact that the crew returned to complete the fascia work on the two areas the pest control guy identified, but they did it in a sub-standard way. This forced me to call the PM's boss and have him get involved in my work order. Ultimately, another APC crewman (just one guy showed up) came by the house and corrected the shotty work from the redo. That's two redo's to finish the job. (An aside, the second area I mentioned to APC about being redone or corrected has yet to be addressed as of 9/8/25. I've sent them a message about it, but I've already mentioned that they have all of the money.) Thankfully, I didn't have to pay anything extra for the redo's, but getting this HOA-inspired trim job done was more of a hassle than it should have been and I would not rehire this company nor recommend it to anyone for future work. This is mainly due to my lack of faith in the work that looks good now - but may blister and peel before its time - and the fact that I had to rely on a non-paint vendor to check this company's work thanks to divine Providence. I'm actually going to recommend the company that was going to do the job for the same price and only missed my business by three inches - coincidentally the same gap that the APC crew left in my fascia before they got caught by Cook's Pest Control's on-call weekend service. Save your money and the grief, go with Dixon Painting for the fascia and ask for David from Cook's Pest Control if you choose not to heed this review about APC.

We wanted to share our experience with them as they exceeded our expectations. What stood out most to us was their exceptional customer service from beginning to end. Communication was effortless throughout the entire process. And unlike a few other places that had high-pressure sales tactics, Granite Garage Floors put us at ease. They scheduled an in-home consultation where they thoroughly toured our garage, patiently explained various style options, and gave us time to make our own decisions. Their website was also helpful as it had several examples of different styles which helped us better visualize some of the choices we were debating. But as we discussed our preferences with the team, we were able to create a semi-custom style (a new decorative flake option) which we really appreciated. The team was also very transparent and we got clear communication from how to prep beforehand to how to maintain the floor afterwards. It was a two-day process with a highly professional team. They smoothed our entire garage floor first. Then they mixed all products on-site and applied the coating with great attention to detail. We were so excited to see how our garage was completely transformed. Perhaps the best testament to the quality is that our children now regularly ask us to park our cars outside so they can use the garage as their play area! We also wanted to mention that their pricing is competitive and they stand by their product with a lifetime warranty. For anyone considering an epoxy garage floor installation, we cannot recommend Granite Garage Floors highly enough.

If you value your time, money, home, and peace of mind, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The work on our floors and dry wall required multiple return visits. After the second flooring visit, we told them the floor was still uneven and that the vinyl continued to pop up. On the third visit, a team member stepped on the area that was popping up and said, "There's nothing wrong!" After we insisted they open the floor, we discovered that cardboard packaging from the vinyl floor boards had been used underneath the floor to address the leveling issue... When we finally thought the flooring was finished, another problem surfaced. The trim at the top of our staircase that had been installed only about two weeks earlier came loose, and I fell down the stairs as a result. We then discovered that our replacement dry wall was visibly uneven and not flush with the existing wall. Even after their team came back to work on it, the transition was still not flush, if not worse! Regardless of whether subcontractors were involved, we hired Into The Woods to ensure the work was completed properly and ultimately hold them responsible. On top of having to repeatedly identify problems that should have been caught through proper supervision and quality control, the most frustrating part has been communicating with Into the Woods direct team members, especially their owner, Shamus. We constantly felt like our concerns were minimized and dismissed. Even if the work had been perfect, the interactions with the company throughout this entire process made us wish we never signed anything with them.

Mike's team -- Igor and his brother -- were so positive. They saw every challenge as an opportunity to make the project better. The crew sanded the entire floor three times with finer grits each time, making for a very smooth surface to stain and finish. The stain was furniture-grade, as was the final finish. Let me explain that this was our second attempt to refinish our hardwoods floors. Originally, we went with another company recommended by a neighbor. The estimate was cheaper, and we thought we could save a few bucks. Boy did we make a mistake. We were out of our house for a week, returning only to find a sub-standard job with damage to our house. We were heartbroken, and it was a costly mistake not to go with M.S. Construction Services first. Don't make the same mistake we did -- hire these guys first. When we contacted Mike, he was out of the country, but responded quickly and scheduled his crew for the very next week. They moved all the furniture carefully, and they pulled off all the old shoe-moldings. Then they spent most of the first two days meticulously sanding our entire main level. Then they applied the stain, and this is where the artistry comes in. Igor used a special technique to get the grain of the existing boards to absorb the stain in a way that makes it darker than the surrounding wood -- it really 'pops' and makes the original floors look very high-grade. They not only fixed all the problems created by the previous contractor, M.S. Construction Services came up with elegant solutions to things that had bothered us since we bought the house years ago. Igor carefully carved out a thin layer of the base of our kitchen cabinets to slide the floor register underneath it. It looks so good! I can't stress enough the attention to detail. The shoe moldings they use are high grade, and they cut them to exacting measurements for a perfect fit. They also nail them tight to the wall so little if any caulk is necessary between the two. We wake up every morning and just marvel at the workmanship and the artistry. These are good people who really take pride in their work. We even accidentally overpaid on the final check -- Mike caught it, told us, and allowed us to write a new check for the lower amount. That is integrity. Bottom line: don't hire anyone else, even if you think you might save a little money. You'll regret not going with M.S. Construction Services. We got more than our money's worth!

Plus, I was in the military, so I comb over everything with a fine-toothed comb. Unlike many people, I am more about quality over cost. I'd rather pay more for a top quality installation than to pay less and leave it to chance and risk a poor job. Daniel's Floors is quite impressive! I received both top quality workmanship and service AND competitive pricing. I had never heard of them prior to this project. They replaced our carpet with hardwood in our master bedroom and walk-in closet, upper level landing/foyer to include linen closet, and upper level sitting room with walk-in closet. The flooring came out darker than expected, but they stripped it down and re-stained it to our liking at no additional charge. The sitting room previously mentioned was not in the original quote, but we had around 120 - 140 sq. ft. of hardwood remaining. Originally, they gave us the option to keep the hardwood or return it for a stocking fee. The next day, they surprised us when they said that they would install the remaining hardwood in an area of our choice . . . . also at no additional charge. If the installers were upset about all of this additional work, I could not tell it. They remained professional, courteous, and pleasant beginning to end. They were so great that I felt bad about the additional work. I didn't even want them to do any of this on the house, but they insisted. The quality of the installation 10/10. The quality of the hardwood 10/10. The quality of the service 10/10. OVERALL 15/10!!! We will definitely use them in the future when we replace the carpet in the upper level bedrooms and when it comes time for re-finishing or if any repairs/maintenance arise.

I am retired and on a fixed income and this was a major expense that is now the worst home investment we have EVER MADE. 2 days after they completed our shower a leak occurred in our kitchen which is directly below our shower. So I went into the ceiling to find an active leak on the hot water side at the PEX to Copper connection. So we had to shut the water off to the house for 2-1/2 days before Brett could send his guy to repair the leak. We now had an approx. 4'x 10' section of Kitchen ceiling which was now ruined. His exact words were " We have a sheetrock guy who can hang new sheetrock and blend in the existing Stipple finish in your Kitchen." NOTHING was further from the truth. His crew has never Stippled in their entire lives. We now had a 4" x 10" section of my Kitchen ceiling which looked like crap. High blend spots and a 5' ridge line where the new sheetrock patched in the existing ceiling. I called Brett and sent several pictures and 2 videos of the ongoing leak and then pics of the "finished" crappy job his crew did. So I told him that I would sand the entire patch down and start from scratch and re-stipple the kitchen myself. It was obvious that Ridgeline is a hack company who doesn't give a crap about customers, doing a job worthy of the massive cost or maintaining a good reputation. So after buying joint compound, stipple brush, plastic, tape and 80 grit sand paper I began to repair this botched job. We are now at 3+ weeks of chaos, joint compound dust in 4 rooms and having a Kitchen in total disarray. Ridgeline HAS COMPENSATED US EXACTLY $0.0 FOR THIS MASSIVE INCONVENIENCE ! They should be ashamed as to how they take advantage of customers 65 yrs old and on a fixed budget just trying to complete some home updates.
