Paul (the project manager) stopped by almost every day to check on the progress and see if I had any concerns or questions. The crew was neat and cleaned up well after the job was finished. The window "eyebrows" over our front windows were completely rotten (35 years old). The on staff carpenter, Andre, crafted new ones out of PVC that will never need to be replaced again. Have used Dixon over the years for interior painting, exterior painting, deck staining, gutters and gutter toppers. --Interior painting: Excellent job. Highly recommend. --Exterior painting: Prep work, particularly caulking, was lacking. I would use them again but really oversee the prep. --Deck staining: Not good. Pressure wash prep was horrible and destructive. Would not use again nor recommend. --Gutters: Not good. Would not use again nor recommend. Gutters were not hung correctly resulting in tremendous overflow. --Gutter toppers: Horrible job. Would not use again. Ends of gutters not sealed up so squirrels entered in mass to build nests. Had difficultly getting Dixon to come out and correct. Toppers now pulling away (not secured well?) and I cannot get a respons to my emails via their website. read more

Provided a wonderful and diligent work crew for my job. I am so pleased, they worked so well and I saw them doing touch ups where I hadn't even noticed a need. Each evening I took a walk around and took note of some minor items and the next morning without my saying anything they completed the touch up. It was reassuring when Todd and Michael came by to check out the job being done. I was so pleased that I chose the right painting contractor for my home. We needed all the trim etc painted on our brick home, plus the wrought iron rails leading to our from porch sanded and painted. This was not the first time we'd had the exterior painted trim painted, but it was the first time we had paint all over the non-wood parts of our windows. They literally slapped up paint and it got everywhere. The tracks of our windows are (or should I say were) white. Now they're white with sloppy splotches of trim paint. On every. Single. Window of the house. It looks cheap and it looks worse than if I'd done it myself. The wrought iron on the front steps was a complicated job because of the prep and the brick steps. Or it should have been. There was absolutely no evidence they sanded at all, but the evidence that they painted was everywhere. Black paint all over our brick, especially at the base of the rails. We paid and went away quietly - my husband said we'd store it under lessons learned. But it was money wasted, as we could have hired day labor to get paint everywhere. read more

Just finished my house and this company was the painting company, they did a really aweful job. The crew they brought was so bad that some of them were playing video game while on site. The simple things like priming and painting and even effectively using a paint brush were foreign to these guys. Lots of areas were over sprayed, all the doors are grainy since they were painted with brush rather than sprayed. They came out a second time for a redo but did worse than the first time. The project managers who came on site weekly were useless, all the faulty work were not recognized by him. They really messed up my 7k Sqf house. Not sure how they have a 4.9 review Score. Maybe they sub contracted my job to another company. Am having to pay another painter $$$ to fix all the issues. BEWARE of this company and use them at your own risk. read more

Had contract to paint for five days. Made promises that no painting would take place if it rained. One day prior to the start of the exterior painting, I received a phone call from a young person named Paul who was offended that I called the office concerned about painting with all the rain. The office assured me that they would schedule the exterior when there were three days without any rain but Paul called and was very obnoxious yelling that if you can't follow our process....
