Dr. Allen has always gone above and beyond for our dogs…read more When we had to move out of state, she reviewed Kittys (dog), results and visit notes. When Kittys needed another surgery, we flew from California to Washington so that Dr. Allen and her team could operate. I know if it were not for Annotto Bay, we would not have had the successful outcomes we did. The love and compassion the entire team have is extraordinary.

I could write an entire review on Dr. Allen, who is BY FAR The greatest veterinarian we have had…read morethe pleasure of working with. You always hear that that's are "caring" but Dr. Allen is different. She is genuinely caring. She has genuine love for animals, her animal clients and their owners. She has this warmth about her that is so calming. She is gentle, kind and thorough. We have trusted her was three of our wonderful dogs and will never ever change Veterinarians. She will NOT rip you off financially. We are constantly blown away by the honesty and integrity of Dr. Allen's prices and services. You can trust her. But this review is actually focused on David. I'm not sure his exact title, but he is the man who answers the phone, books appointments, and is the main liaison between clients and Dr. Allen. In this day and age it is so hard to find people who care for their work (i.e. customer service, thoroughness, making the client feel noticed and important) so when you come across a gem like David, it truly gives you hope in this world. My dog Lola has been suffering from a skin disorder for many many months. Dr. Allen was out on maternity leave, but David went out of his way to still help us. He made an unbelievable effort to get us appointments, continued calling and contacting Dr. Allen, asked for photos and detailed information about Lola's skin problems, talked on the phone with me multiple times, followed up with me and so much more. We felt so alone and scared when we couldn't find care to the caliber of Dr. Allen while she was out, but David was the one who helped us through it. Then today, he followed up once again letting me know that Dr. Allen was back in the office. He remembered that I was a teacher and knew I wouldn't be able to drop a Lola off at 10 when they opened. He offered an early drop off time at 8 o'clock this week and promised he would be there to let us in. Thank you David and thank you Dr. Allen for all you have done! We love you and trust you so much and are forever grateful for Annotto Bay.

Dr. Aguirre is everything you want in a vet! She is compassionate, incredibly thorough, and refreshingly honest. She didn't try to throw every test at us just because she could. Instead, she took the time to understand our dog, answered every question with patience, and made sure we felt truly heard. I don't have enough good things to say about her and we are so grateful to have found her. Jessica, LVT, was just as amazing, so patient and kind during post-op pickup, making sure we felt totally prepped and supported. From the front desk staff to the vets, this place is top-notch. You feel how much they care. 10/10, would trust them with my dog's life... and clearly as a paranoid dog mom, I already did!

Hands down, one of the best vets I've encountered. Dr. Rice, who owns the facility is an exception veterinary physician, as a physician myself, I appreciate clinical skill and I appreciate her experience, her skill, and her willingness to sit down and work through the possible diagnoses and to uses tests judiciously, their costs are lower and the care is personal and, frankly skillful, and, in my experience has been right on. Avoid the corporate owned facilities, always look for who owns a vet facility, or, just go to Dr. Rice and her team. I've been really impressed.

Dr. Mann and her entire staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and compassionate when I brought my…read morevery sick dog in after she was diagnosed with chronic kidney failiure. Her previous vet seemed unconcerned with my dog's diagnosis, only suggesting changing her diet. Dr. Mann, however, went into immediate save-this-dog-mode from the very first visit. She took such excellent care of my little girl, but unfortunately she was too far along in the illness, and after a few weeks she died. The front office staff was friendly, upbeat, kind, understanding, and wonderful, just like Dr. Mann throughout the entire experience.

Most of the staff are nice and the prices are good but the wait times are absolutely ridiculous. My dog needed to have surgery and they had me drop her off at 7am. I called them at 4pm because I hadn't received an update and I was told she hadn't even gone into surgery yet...I had to take time off work to drop her off early which is fine but it was frustrating to find out they just had her waiting around in a crate all day. Another instance is when I brought her in for some vaccinations and waited with her in the lobby for over 45 minutes. No one said anything to me and I had to ask multiple times to see what was going on because I shouldn't have had to wait that long. It was also frustrating because I moved my appointment from 4pm to 2:30pm and then literally waited until 3:30 to be seen anyway. Also, if you're in a room, they'll say they'll be back and then leave you in there for like 20-30 minutes without an update and you'll have to go into the hall and flag someone down to remind them that you're still there. They also let owners go into the surgery room when they drop off their pet while people are literally operating on an animal a few feet away...seems unsanitary to me. Luckily I'm moving so I won't have to come back but if I wasn't, I would have really considered finding a new veterinarian. Only good thing about this place is the price.
