They took her temperature and found it to be high, and then recommend over 1600.00 of tests / fluids and an appetite stimulant. In the end she was only dehydrated. Rather than start with administering fluids which would have cost under 200.00 and in the end was all that was needed (the dog showed vast improvement within 30 minutes) they ran numerous x-rays and bloodwork. When the vet tech shared the proposed treatment plan, we instructed them to please try and minimize cost by approaching the care in a cost effective manner. Instead, they rapidly did every single thing possible, while we waited not knowing what was happening. I was promised a call to check in and that they would try and take a cost effective approach, I received no communication at all, and in the end I had to ask what was going on, only to find out that they had already done EVERYTHING. My bill was wildly expensive for what amounted to 60 minutes of care and a need for fluids. I even had to call myself later in the day to ask about the remaining results and the Dr was clearly working overtime to justify so many tests all of which showed nothing of note at all. When I reached out later via email with my concerns, asking for the administrator, I received a defensive response from the attending doctor stating things like "well now we have a baseline, the x-ray company we use is highly professional" completely not addressing my concerns. I replied back again reiterating my concerns with how the treatment plan was approached and how it conflicted with our desires, and requesting a discount to the services we paid for, and then they just ghosted entirely. No response since. This was a huge money grab in my opinion and I will NOT be taking my animals back there again.

She helped make the journey across the "Rainbow Bridge" for our 16+ year old Miniature Poodle/Pomeranian, who was blind, unstable and suffering from advanced cognitive decline, more of a relief, than a reason for grief and despair. This might not be the case for everyone who is facing this difficult decision, as some pets might have more rapidly progressing illnesses that make this decision more "pressing", but in our case, watching Cinnamon decline on nearly a weekly basis over her final two years, it was the "right decision" for our family. Thanks.

I contacted Amy through email, she was prompt and so gentle. She even called me in rhe late evening to talk to me about our decision, our labs healthy and her professional vet opinion. Through the night out girl got worse and Amy came out the same evening. She is so gentle, kind, and let us take all the time we needed with Cocoa, she even took her paw print for us. Amys reassurance and professionalism helped us with the hardest decision we had to make. I can't say enough good things about Amy, you are in the best hands during the most difficult time, and we are so grateful to her.

Our previous vet closed down, so we were stuck looking for a new one. I read all the reviews, and…read moresettled on these folks. Boy am I glad I did. They are efficient, helpful, and seem to really enjoy animals (and people). They are really good with our animals. We had just adopted 2 kittens, and took them in for a checkup, and then did a followup appointment. But here's what sets these folks apart from some of the other places we've used in the past. I called to set up a one-year appointment for April, since the cats would be one year old then. But then they asked me a few questions, and suggested that instead we should schedule the appointment for July, since that's when their annual shots would be due, and avoid paying for an extra appointment. Imagine! Doing what's best for us and the cats instead of just piling on unnecessary appointment so they can make some extra money. We've had a series of vets over the years for previous cats and dogs, and were never really happy with the service. SO glad we finally found a great vet.

After combing through countless reviews of Dr. Matt Slentz, we scheduled an appointment with him this morning for our puppy's (Leo) final puppy visit and vaccinations. Dr. Matt exceeded our expectations. He has wonderful bedside manner, is incredibly informative, and--just as other reviewers mentioned--remarkably generous with his time. He made sure all of our questions were answered and even covered general puppy FAQs we didn't know to ask. His delivery was straightforward and upfront, providing honest professional opinions without sugarcoating, which we truly appreciated. During the visit, our puppy had an accident in the exam room. Without hesitation, Dr. Matt immediately grabbed paper towels and cleaned it himself, without gloves, while the veterinary assistant stood by. That moment spoke volumes--demonstrating genuine care, humility, and a willingness to step in without concern for appearances. He also noted that hand nibbling (as distinct from biting) is consistent with normal puppy developmental behavior and allowed our puppy to nibble on him during the exam, which was reassuring to observe. It is evident that both Dr. Miller and Dr. Matt hold their veterinary oath in the highest regard. Knowing we can trust them brings immense peace of mind when it comes to our puppy's care. This practice should have been a five-star experience based on Dr. Miller, Dr. Matt, and the front desk staff alone. Unfortunately, a **detached, impersonal, and indifferent interaction with Madden--marked by a lack of empathy and engagement--**overshadowed what they truly deserved.

Effective in curing the symptom: 2/5 Customer service: 5/5…read morePrice: I have insurance, so I won't discuss it here. My cat extensively vomited yellow liquid and showed signs of lethargy. My first visit to the vet was quite concerning. My cat hadn't eaten or used the litter box for 12 hours since vomited, so I brought him in. They recommended an anti-nausea shot and IV fluids. When my cat was returned, I noticed blood spots on the technician's nose. He denied my cat bled, but another technician later confirmed he did bleed a little. Why would the first technician lie? Second visit: 12 hours later, I brought my cat back because he wasn't getting any better. It was almost midnight, and they told us we'd have to wait 2 to 4 hours for an X-ray. My cat also got another fluid injection while we waited, plus some sedative for the scan. Hours later, the vet said there was some unidentifiable object in his middle abdomen that wasn't blocking anything, and he had a really low white blood cell count and a fever. It was almost 1 AM, and everyone was exhausted, but the way the vet explained things made me so worried, especially when he brought up pancreatitis. I wish he could've just said it simply so I could understand and not freak out so much. My cat was sent home again, with antibiotics for the fever and another 12 hours of monitoring.. My poor cat was so stressed and scared after his visit, he even hid when we got home and peed himself! I can't imagine what he went through or saw behind those closed doors, it was so unnecessarily stressful for everyone. Thankfully, he used his litter box and ate a little later that night.

Tender Touch Veterinary Hospital was incredibly helpful during such a difficult time. I was able to call and get pricing information over the phone, which made the process much easier. The drop-off was quick and straightforward, and they contacted me within a week or so to let me know everything was ready. When I went in to pick up, the package provided several meaningful keepsakes, including a nose print, paw print stamp, some of her fur, a clay paw imprint, and her urn (I chose the biodegradable option). The pricing was very reasonable, and now I have beautiful mementos to remember Pepper by. I'm grateful for the care and compassion they showed during one of the hardest moments a pet owner can experience.

I am a busy single-dog mom and made time out of my schedule to bring my dog in during my appointment. Their mistake has inconvenienced me and the person did not apologize at all. First impressions are important, and this is a huge disappointment because I was looking forward to coming to this Vet since it has so many positive reviews.
