Oh boy! Where do I start?! It was a horrible experience!!! I ordered 2 funeral flowers sprays through a website-FromYouFlowers.com (it was the 1st choice of the top 5 flower ordering websites). The customer service at the website was phenomenal. Same day delivery offered, but I actually needed it for the next day. They were great! Flower sprays were supposed to arrive to the church at 9:30AM for my mom's funeral service which was at 11AM. I wanted to have ample time to place arrangements in the church and not be rushed. Just as I started panicking that no flowers had arrived yet, a flower van pulled up at 10:33AM. The lady driver casually started taking the spray out of the back of the van in a rough manner. Roses and flowers were breaking off the spray and fell on the street. The flower spray looked very sparse, one side had only 6 flowers, the other side had more but there were many holes without any flowers. I had ordered the most expensive of 3 choices with abundance of flowers. This spray did not look anything like what I ordered. The card was missing. The lady was argumentative right away and unapologetic for being late an hour, not having a card from the family and destroying some of the flowers already. The second spray was missing entirely. She started justifying that it was a late order (flower arrangements were ordered the day before!), it was "way too cheap" and they charged a minimum of $450 per spray ( I paid high $300's), etc. She kept on telling me how they shouldn't have accepted this order and that the second order had come in same day. There was only 1 order made with 2 sprays! It was a complete chaos and a mess!!!! There was a scene in front of a church with her complaining and whining. My mom's casket was being wheeled into the church and I didn't have her 2 sprays I had ordered and paid close to $700 for. When I asked the lady if they can bring the second spray before service starts, she was still argumentative and accusatory, unapologetic, rude and a complete mess going on and on in circles. I had to tell her to stop and answer my question with a yes or no. She said no, they didn't have enough flowers, she was the only driver and there wasn't enough time. I was greatly disappointed in the horrible service and her poor attitude. She handled the situation very badly. No customer service whatsoever! I had no other choice but to accept the poorly arranged spray that was delivered. Luckily, I had bought long stem roses from Costco. I used 48 roses to fill in the numerous gaps of the spray. I will never recommend Owen's Flower Shop to anyone. They do not deserve even 1 star. They disgraced my mom's memory and her final day on earth. The whole experience tarnished my memories. read more

I know people have put a lot of bad reviews, and maybe that was because it was a big orders, but my experience was totally opposite. Called ahead and asked if they could do loose flower bouquets and if I could choose what to put in the bouquets. They did, and said they had to many varieties of flowers to name on the phone and I would just have to see what they had when I arrived. Went in, the ladies there were super nice. Showed me to the cooler full of beautiful flowers. I picked around 2 -3 of 4 different breeds of flowers. All together it was 9 beautiful flowers and it was only 12$! Wow, they were having a deal on roses too. The lady, Katie I believe was super nice, gave me a business card and said to call if I ever wanted to see if certain unique flowers were in stock. Overall, definitely will be going there instead of Kroger or publix for a bouquet. I would recommend this place to a person wanting one as well. read more

Our family recently had 2 deaths within one week's time. I chose Owen's Florist because it was a convenient location for both services and I could stop by to personally order the flowers. I spoke to Kelly on a Thursday for a large arrangement for a viewing on the following Sunday at 3pm. My first choice was an expensive wreath and Kelly said for that price range, a standing arrangement would be a better floral display. Upon arrival at the funeral home 2:30 pm Sunday, I was shocked and dismayed to see a haphazard array of unopened, half wilted flowers. There weren't any large focal flowers either as shown on their website and in the books at store location. First thing the next day, Monday, I called Kelly to express my disappointment and requested a presentable arrangement before the funeral at 1 pm that afternoon. She told me they only had Fall colors in stock, that she had to order in the pinks and purples needed for the original order I placed on Thursday. She said they did have white ones, though. Kelly assured me that she would take care of the issue immediately. When I arrived at the funeral home Monday around noon, the only difference I could see in the arrangement was the awkward placement of 3 large white lilies in the center with the wilted flowers from the day before still there. I called Owen's Florist and spoke to Kelly again expressing their lack of correction. Instead of offering any resolution before the 1 pm funeral, she argued with me that they replaced the wilted flowers and Owen's staff saw nothing wrong with the arrangement. Her comment contradicted what she told me on the phone earlier that morning about not having pink and purple flowers available. My family member was about to be laid to rest and I had neither the time nor energy to listen to Kelly defend Owen's lack of customer service. I simply hung up the phone. No one from Owen's Florist contacted me for any follow up after I clearly stated my dissatisfaction with their service and product. read more

My husband's sister passed away a few days ago. We wanted to get a nice floral arrangement to be delivered to the funeral home for her funeral. We found a beautiful floral arrangement on Owens website, when we got to check out, it asked for the name to be delivered to we were a little confused as there wasn't an area to put in care of. My husband called the floral shop and asked if they could kindly assist us with placing the order, so we would be sure the flowers would be delivered without any problems. The lady who answered the phone was hesitant at first and was struggling with taking a simple order (apparently the flower shop doesn't have access to their own website), we had to explain several times which arrangement we wanted. Once we finally got the order placed, we had asked for a grand total (most businesses are happy to give you this), apparently this isn't an easy procedure for this shop to do. The next day, my other sister-in-law had wanted to order flowers for her sister to be delivered in time for the funeral. Again, we went on the website to look at arrangements. My sister-in-law found one and we had proceeded to call the shop to find out if the arrangement could still be delivered. While the lady working at the flower shop indicated she couldn't get that arrangement made, she proceeded to tell my sister-in-law she had other arrangements that could work that were in the cooler and wasn't real interested in making an arrangement close to the one my sister-in-law wanted to order. We weren't asking for much and the customer service once again we received wasn't great. We ended up finding a florist closer to our home and my sister-in-law was able to pick up a beautiful arrangement for less then she would have paid at Owens. The other floral shop we went with, bent over backwards to help us and provided us top notch customer service. In this economy anyone can choose which business they want to deal business with. In our case, we decided to go elsewhere and get what we wanted and also get the treated the way a customer should be treated. Hopefully Owens Floral Shop will take a hard lesson on how to treat its customers. read more

Ordered a Valentine Days arrangement for my in-laws early on Valentine's Day and on the website it guaranteed same-day delivery. At 5:00 p.m. (much too late to order from somewhere else) I was called and informed that they couldn't deliver same day. Which might have been a little less frustrating if I had heard the word sorry or apologetic or had been warned on the website prior to ordering. Following my conversation on the phone which I tried to handle politely, I cancelled my order because of how rudely I was treated. I plan on ordering from somewhere else and having it delievered tomorrow. I have never been to this physical store, but I have ordered flowers over the phone from Owen's Flower Shop. It's never fun to need same day delivery to a hospice facility, but the woman I spoke to was very knowledgeable about delivering to that specific hospice and even which flowers the staff prefer not to have in the patient rooms. I wanted to get $85 of flowers, and with the vase, tax and delivery it came out to less than $100, so I think that is pretty reasonable. read more

I ordered a "Spring Favorites" arrangement through Teleflora on Friday afternoon for Saturday delivery. The bouquet NOT delivered on Saturday, there was no communication that there was an issue. They're closed on Sunday. I called Teleflora again on Monday to confirm delivery and ask what had happened to the Sat delivery. The agent said the shop rec'd the order too late Friday. BUT the Owens website says SAME day delivery is available, so surely an order rec'd the day before would be enough. Fortunately, I had ordered the flowers to arrive early, so they ended up making it on time for the actual birthday. BUT what was delivered was nothing like what was ordered and looked totally thrown together. The website description: "Pink roses, red tulips, yellow irises, purple hyacinth, white monte cassino asters and green button mums are arranged with oregonia and Spanish moss in a shallow terra-cotta planter." There wasn't a single tulip, iris, or hyacinth in the bunch, and it was pretty unattractive overall. I'd be okay with some substitutions, but this looked like they cleaned out the cooler and used whatever they happened to have around. Disappointing, to say the least. read more

My sister in law sent my husband and I a Christmas arrangement and the local florist was Owens' Flower Shop. We received the arrangement on Christmas Eve and I called my sister in law to thank her. She asked for us to send her a picture of it. Luckily we did, that was not the arrangement she purchased online. Ours was a little dainty arrangement and what she ordered was much larger. After inquiring with the company she used, they contacted Owens Flower Shop to let them know their customer was not happy. Dorothy from Owens then calls me to ask if I was pleased with the arrangement. I explained to her that it didn't matter whether I was pleased or not, my sister in law spent her money and it matters whether she is pleased, which she isn't. I explained to Dorothy that she needs to be speaking with my sister in law or the company she went through to order the arrangement. Dorothy made a few statements about it being up to their discretion as to how they make the arrangements and how big they can be. I wasn't interested in that part at all and felt like it was her way of trying to get out of either having another "correct" arrangement made or giving a refund to my sister in law. Just found out that the company my sister in law ordered it from told her that Ms. Dorothy doesn't want to cooperate but that they would in fact give her a refund and deal with Owens flower shop later.
