My husband and I bought a 2020 lincoln corsair from them 3 months ago. We bought the portfolio warranty for an extra 3300. 2 weeks after we bought the car my husband got a flat went to put the spare on and there was no spare. Needless to say we had to leave the vehicle over night on the hwy and get out tire replaced. Then a month ago the charging service light came on and the car stopped working. We called the warranty place and got the run around. The called and spoke to Ray who told me that it was going to be a head ache to get the car towed to a shop because we were far from the dealership. He was suppose to call us back and never did. So we spoke to Gus and we finally just towed it at our expense. Wasn't provided a loaner so we were 1200 out of pocket for a rental. We finally got it to the shop and the warranty that we bought didn't cover all repairs. They not only didnt help get our car that we only had for 90 days to the shop but they ignored us and refused to help us at the beginning. These guys are as shady as people can get. My wife and I puchased a car there, and when we left it was already dark. We didn't realize it, but the windows were so darkly tinted we couldn't even see headlights in our rear view mirror. My wife got pulled over the next day and we found out the windows were so darkly tinted it was illegal and that it is illegal for them to sell a car with windows that dark in California. So we took the car back and they let us trade it for another car. We had the car for a month, and then my wife was diagnosed with a serious illness, so we asked them to buy it back after just a month. We had given them a $13,800 dollar down payment with our trade-in and cash. So after just 1 month, and 1,500 miles they want to give us $3,000 back out of $13,800 to buy the car back!!! I read many bad reviews that seem more circumstantial than representative of the overall reputation and trustworthiness of the business. But I can only speak for my own experience. I needed a fuel-efficient car and my budget was rather limited. I can say these people did everything in their power to make it possible. I don't believe other places would have done what Own a Car did for me considering my situation. Also, yes, the car had a small problem. The tire sensor warning was on. They told me they aired the tires before I left and that the sensor warning should reset. Well, it didn't, but that was no problem. I called them and they just told me to come by and take the car to their service center. It was so incredibly easy to get that done. So, I feel it's very common for used cars to be showing minor problems and all a customer has to do is talk to them before lashing out with 1-star reviews. I felt their staff was very friendly. They do have "aggressive" sales tactics in a good way, which means they won't stop trying until they get what you need and want. It's a win-win in my opinion. My advice for anyone buying a car is to look at the Carfax report and test drive the car. And should the car show problems immediately after buying it, just give your salesperson a call to resolve the issue. They offer different types of warranties too. I do recommend this dealership, and I will go to them first next time I am in the market for a vehicle. A shoutout to my salesperson Sammy and the financing people who worked out a miracle for me. Worst first time buying experience I have ever had. My wife and I went in looking to buy a truck for my work and daily driver, after looking we had our eyes set on truck in the lot. After asking questions and discussing price, I had told the dealer that we wouldn't test drive anything unless we were pre approved, after dealer said that we were we took it for a test drive and after returning we weren't actually approved. It gets worse when they brought a truck from a "warehouse". We looked at the truck and were satisfied with it even though there was a big difference between what the other truck had come with such as modifications, after getting the paperwork and signing for it we noticed that the dealer adjusted the price slightly lower than truck we originally wanted. Our truck was priced well over 20k more than the truck was actually worth. Sticking us with long term payments for a truck worth way less including no detail on the vehicle and modifications to the vehicle that was not disclosed. Very shady place. read more

But all downhill from there Riley our sales representative was short, seemed annoyed, and just plain non existent in terms of letting us know the process what was going on, we did need to go and update registration she was not helpful as we are not from this area I asked if she knew anywhere around here that had a kiosk she replied she's not from here either. I then asked two gentleman in the garage area that we were standing and they were so helpful gave us a place and address within two miles we are now sitting here for 40 min alone at a desk without any knowledge as to what's going on.
