I could not recommend this school more! Our daughter started Pre-School On The Hill in August of 2022. She had amazing first year and can't wait to start the new school year. She goes twice a week but begs to go every day. Like many moms, I feel guilt for having to leave my kids with someone so that I can go to work BUT it's a huge comfort knowing that she is in the best hands. The teachers and staff are so loving and kind. My daughter loves each of them and they are all household names at this point. Something I love about her school is that they have so much fun throughout the year. They've had pony rides at the school, a tricycle race, ice cream parties, cowboy cookouts, pumpkin patch, fire fighters come visit and more! She's currently in summer school and is having so much fun. We have seen so much growth in her and she loves to share what she's learned when she gets home. The director Mrs. Young is very hands on with the kids and knows each of them. She works so hard to make sure the kids are in the best learning environment, she's very flexible and always available. If you're looking for a quality pre-school that fosters a loving environment, is flexible and affordable you won't find a better school than Pre-School On The Hill! read more

We have loved Preschool on the Hill! This is our second year sending our kids there. Their curriculum is play-based, which we love. However, my 5 year old, who has attended for two years, is reading now and is so excited to go to kindergarten next year. This is in large part because of his teachers at Preschool on the Hill who have encouraged him to love learning. My 4 year old has no interest in reading yet. However, he loves arts and crafts, and his teacher is so encouraging of his love of art. Preschool on the Hill is really reasonably priced for the area, and they allow for extended hours. My boys have loved staying and playing for longer on the days we do it, and it's been good kindergarten prep for my 5 yo to eat lunch at school like he will next year. I highly recommend Preschool on the Hill for anyone looking for a safe, play-based learning environment for your kids! read more

This preschool has a wonderful, loving, and caring staff. My grandson and granddaughter LOVE going. They have a variety of programs, from 2, 3, or 5 mornings a week to full days 5 days a week. For morning only children, they offer Early Birds, where, for a few dollars, we can leave the children earlier than their regular time. There is also a "Time for Fun" from 12:00 - 2:30 offered on a daily basis - no presign-ups neccessary - if we have to leave the children longer than 12:00pm ($10/day). Our children beg to be left for Time for Fun because they enjoy it so much. The curriculum used is Christ-centered, and the children learn academics as they play. They also have extra activities such as a Trike-a-thon and a Mom/grandma tea. The prices are comparative or lower than other preschools in Riverside as well. I don't have enough good things to say about preschool on the hill or as everyone from riverside knows it as first baptist preschool. Both of my children have gone through their program 2 years for each of them and we are sad this is our last year there. My boys loved every single staff member there. Everyone is so welcoming, kind and caring. My older son started at a private school which also has a preschool however I opted to keep my youngest here and do a 2 location drop off pick up for my boys because I wanted to keep him with preschool on the hill. I cannot say enough good things about Preschool on the Hill. The teachers and staff are great and always wonderful to work with. You can tell that they have a heart for children, and that's reflected in everything that happens at Preschool on the Hill. This school has been the biggest blessing on our family and transformed our kids!!! The teachers and staff have such a passion for what they do, and our kids fell in love with the whole idea of "going to school". As a mom, I love that my kids' classes open up right onto the playground and nothing about it feels like an institution. They have special themed-days every month that keeps it fun and exciting for the kids (and parents). I love the curriculum and how the teachers make learning fun. My two children have both attended Preschool on The Hill. The school is great, the teachers caring and compassionate, the atmosphere is one of a wonderful balance of learn and play and, all at very affordable prices. They also have extended play so, if work, errands or the need for a nap holds you longer, POTH's got you covered. In addition to all of it, they also have little extras like a daddy and me tea time on a Saturday morning with donuts and playtime. This is definitely a hidden Riverside gem (as some other reviewers put it). This was my son's first year and the staff and teachers were amazing. He has a couple of struggles and his teacher was willing to work with us in order to help him be successful. The class sizes are small, the curriculum is age appropriate which was a great balance with his play time . The few times I did have concerns his teacher was quick to respond back to my messages and helped ease my mind. Great school, can't wait for next year. read more

Absolutley loved Preschool on the Hill. My son started as a 3 year old with Ms. Kerr, and let me tell you she is amazing!!! Honestley, everyone at the preschool was amazing. Ms. Kerr in perticular was just outstanding, my son loved her! Starting school was a little hard him but she made class fun, exciting, safe, and a great learning experience for all the kiddos. This was my daughters first time attending any type of school and we where very pleased with the staff and the way the preschool is ran. Everyone definitely has your child's best interest at heart. They definitely strive to make learning fun for the kiddos. My daughter loved all the songs they sang and art projects.
