From my very first conversation with the director about their teaching philosophy to meeting the warm and caring teachers, I knew this was the right place for my kids. My daughter attended Kids Time for a little over a year during 2022-2023, and my son attended for about a year and a half during 2025-2026. What meant the most to me was being able to completely trust the people caring for my children. I could see the positive impact Kids Time had on both of them, and they always spoke so happily about their time there. They both absolutely love Ms. Leo and Ms. Tanya. My daughter still remembers them and misses them, and I know my son will miss them very much as well. I am incredibly grateful to all of the teachers and staff at Kids Time for the care, patience, and love they gave my children. They truly made such a positive impression on our family. I value that the school follows a set curriculum and that my daughters are also learning Spanish. The structure is wonderful, and I appreciate how their learning at school reinforces the values and teachings we focus on at home. In full transparency, the beginning was a bit challenging. Since my girls were only two at enrollment, they were frequently sick during the first six months and missed quite a bit of school, which required me to rely heavily on my mother-in-law during that time. I also felt that the two-year-old classroom experienced a higher level of staff turnover, making it difficult to keep track of who their teachers were. That said, now that my daughters are older, there is much more stability in their current classroom, and they are truly thriving. All the teachers and staff were so patient and supportive with my daughter and even us as she started the school process. My daughter felt safe and started to engage in the activities. After a few months, she loved the teachers and even played with some of the kids. She still talks about the good memories from the school and she misses the teachers. Although 2 teachers were unchanged from the beginning until the end of June (best point), the only negative point was the rate at which new teachers were joining the class or moving to other classes. All of them were so kind and nice, but I would have preferred to have a class with 3 consistent teachers for the full year. Again I'd like to thank the Temple Beth Team.

We thought this would be the same when we enrolled my youngest son at 2 years of age. At 3 it was determined he had a receptive and expressive speech delay. This was communicated to management and my sons teachers. We were very open and shared what we were doing to help him (twice a week speech sessions and trying to get him into an early education program through our school district). There was an issue with him leaving the class room during transition of half day kids. He was able to bypass the teachers, parents coming in and out, and made it to the front gate. Luckily a parent stopped him and alerted staff. To sum up a long story, management pretty much blamed my son for not understanding safety by not opening the gates - granted he is 3 years old. They warned us if there was another incident they would have to terminate his enrollment. 1. The class room baby gate was broken/loose and could easily be opened by any child 2. How was he able to make it to the front gate without the teachers noticing 3. Why would they blame a 3 year old for not understanding safety. They told us they would see to securing the classroom gate and/or replacing it. A few months went by and they made no improvements to the gate and another incident happened where he tried to escape from the gates. They pretty much terminated us on the spot. Let me remind you, he does have a receptive speech delay meaning he has difficulty understanding language. After reminding them they did not fix their gate, the very next day they installed a 2nd gate...kinda too late for that. I reported this incident to their licensing department and they were sited with lack of child supervision. I find it very sad and upsetting that Tanya took no blame in this and that her solution to ensuring my sons safety was to terminate his enrollment. However this turned out to be a blessing in disguise because he is now in a child care facility that actually thinks outside the box and the teachers are amazing, compassionate and really care for your child. Temple is good if you have a normal easy going child. However, if your child is a little more active, or has a learning disability this is not the best place.

The Goddard School in Riverside looks impressive during the tour because the facilities are new,…read moreclean, and polished. Unfortunately, once you scratch beneath the surface, it feels more like a franchise business than a premium early-childhood education program. We were told there was no screen time, but the children were shown YouTube videos, including Danny Go "movement" videos and videos of other people reading books that the school apparently did not have. When I arrived, the video was playing while the teacher stood watching the children. Administration nevertheless insisted this was not screen time. This practice is inconsistent with American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations for toddlers, which emphasize carefully selected, high-quality media accompanied by active adult participation. The director holds an associate degree in early childhood education from Los Angeles Trade-Technical College, and the teachers appear to meet the minimum education required by state licensing. At this price point, however, I expected substantially greater expertise in early childhood development. UC Riverside's Early Childhood Education Center is comparably priced and publicly reports a staff with 20 bachelor's degrees, two master's degrees, and California Child Development Permits. The director at UCR has a PH.d, not just an associates from LA Trade Tech. I was also disappointed by the unhealthy snacks--graham crackers, animal crackers, cheese, and applesauce, with no vegetables unless parents supplied them. Parents were even allowed to bring fast food into the classroom. The daily reports were unreliable: they claimed my child ate most of his food when his lunchbox came home untouched, and they listed learning objectives without explaining how those objectives were actually taught. Do not be distracted by the shiny new building. Ask detailed questions about staff education, screen use, snacks, and how the corporate curriculum is actually implemented in the classroom.
