Thank you for being such a sweet school. FUMPS makes it a point to greet family's, have lots of special events throughout the year, and makes learning so much fun! In addition to having special events for the kiddos, they paint, get ample time to play on their super fun playground, make crafts, have fun toys to play with, and so much more! FUMPS was the BEST decision we've ever made for our boys!! This is the most loving, family oriented preschool! The teachers take care of the kids as if they are their own children. They used age appropriate activities that helped them grow socially and academically. To this day we are still connected with their teachers... my children are now in high school and middle school. Our 3-year-old started her first year and she's been in this pre-school since she was 2 yrs and 9 months (minimum age required) and this place is nothing but great to her. She is well advanced intellectually for her age with amazing social and speaking skills; I believe this is a result for FUMPS amazing care and teaching to my daughter to develop those skills. We researched/toured a quite a few preschools in Riverside (including looking into accreditation + licensing) for our kiddos but chose FUMPS because: 1 - No one talks about their kids' preschool the way FUMPS families talk about this school! The LOVE is for REAL! 2 - It's community, culture, & passion for child development is a gift that stays with it's families far beyond their time at the school. 3 - The teachers & staff are all magic (seriously, there's something in the water). My daughter started mid-year due to her age & our first day on campus every single staff member greeted her BY NAME as we walked to class! 4 - The schedule is M-F 9am-12pm & there is an option for 2, 3, or 5 days so families get the number of days per week they need, but it's not a full day schedule so I got the time I wanted with them as well (they also offer an option for early drop off & late pick up if needed). 5 - The classes each max out at 12-15 students with a lead teacher + an aid, so there is a ton of individualized attention 6 - The kids leave confident & totally ready for PreK/Kindergarten. 7 - The campus is on the First United Methodist Church grounds so it's very private & tucked away. 8 - It's nondenominational so they are welcoming to everyone. 9 - Students are all 2yr 9mo to 4 (turning 5) years of age, so they are only exposed to other kids in their age range. 10 - The pricing is super competitive. ***Call & talk to Karen about enrolling...you'll quickly find out reasons 11-100! First United Methodist Church is a traditional church that will take you back to your childhood attending church with your grandparents, complete with organ music and potlucks with Jell-o salads. I've been a member of this church since I was a child and it certainly has its ups and downs. FUMCOR is a smaller, aging congregation with the best intentions. In a time when everyone wants something a little more exciting the big non-denominational churches will certainly draw more of a crowd. However, if you grew up going to a traditional church and are looking for something reminiscent to that- come check out this church on Sundays at 10. The preschool here has been noted the best in Riverside and it won't let you down! Generations of Riverside residents have attended FUMPS and that alone is a testament to how well it's run. I have been teaching here since 2014 and can't imagine a better school to be a part of. The kids get all kinds of experiences too- field trips to the grocery store and pizza place; visits from the Aquarium of the Pacific, Station 1 firefighters, discovery museum demonstrations, the Lizard Wizard, and more! read more

Our whole family has such happy memories of my daughter's time here. She was in the Dancing Dinosaurs class with Mrs. Eccleston. My daughter thrived with all the outdoor playtime. Half of her time in the preschool was playing with other children outdoors, which was wonderful for her, as an only child. FUMP had lots of books, and lots of quiet time to peruse them, which she loved, and it contributed to her being an early reader with literacy skills, which stayed with her throughout her educational endeavors. She loved the puzzles and dress up too. Besides all the fun crafts, making spaghetti, making tie dyed shirts, the Halloween parade, the Christmas program, the end of the year celebration, and so much more, she learned to get along with others, and had so many joyful moments! She went on to an excellent University and also receieved a Masters Degree and got a great job. Our gratitude always and we will always remember this preschool with happiness. read more
