He was very honest and said he hadn't done this kind of job on older ovens before. I had a wine cooler - and he charged me $79.99 for diagnosing the problem - which was the the thermostat. b) He told me that it would be an additional $350, for him to order the part and install it - but I told him that I could order the part myself (BTW - for $150). At which point he told me - there would be no warranty and he would install it for $75. c) So we agreed, I would order the part, and he would be back to install it for $75. While leaving I told him I had a dryer that also needed looking at - and he said since he is coming back he would look at it for NO CHARGE. d) 2 weeks later, I got the part, and I texted Jon. After re-introducing myself, he told me that it would now cost $150 to install it. This time it was his son, who I believe has now taken over the business, who came out. He was polite and friendly. He took apart the dryer and found the problem quickly. He had the parts that were needed to repair and had my dryer back together in less than an hour. The cost of the repair was very reasonable. I had a concern a couple of days later and they scheduled a follow up appointment for later the same week. The same man came out, took the dryer back apart and made sure everything was ok, which it was. He was in and out in about 30 minutes. He didn't charge me anything and would not accept a tip.
