I recently went for my regular checkup and 6 month cleaning. The dentist who has done my checkup for years was replaced with Andia Ezzati. She immediately said I needed a deep cleaning without even looking at my teeth. I requested the standard cleaning, after 10 minutes of 3 employees hard selling me, I said no and they told me to leave without any cleaning. I have insurance with Kaiser Delta Dental. I was charged $550.00 for a deep cleaning. I had been going to a dentist out of network. I had my last cleaning 6 months ago. Was told, without the dentist even looking at my mouth that I had to have a deep cleaning. At that price hygienist did not even polish my teeth. DO NOT GO HERE ! THEY ARE SCAMMERS, PUSH UNNECESSARY DENTAL WORK ON YOU AND ARE DISHONEST ! My husband and I went in for a checkup and cleaning. They talked me into having 3 crowns done saying each crown was $1,250 with our Kaiser Delta Dental- when actually Delta Dental said that each when each crown was $550.00 ! They also billed our Smile Dental Financial Insurance network over $5,000.00, sending in bills for my husband in the amount of $$1,894.00 for work that HE HADN'T EVEN HAD DONE !-bringing our bill up to $5,776.00 when it should have been $1,700.00 ! As soon as you go in here, they will start pushing insurance paperwork in your face. They said that 3 crowns would "take 40 minutes each"- and I was in the chair for over 5 hours with Dr. Khazali & not being very gentle in her drilling 'technique' !.. -In my life, it the worst, horrible experience I've ever had in a dental office and then on top of this - to learn that they over billed us with us having to pay Smile Generation Financial $280.00 per month on the $5,776.00 they billed us until I complained and filed a grievance against them. I also filed a grievance against them with the California State Dental Board for all of the above misdemeanors-! Still looking for an honest dentist, not found here I walked in as a new customer. Set up an appointment for an initial consultation. I mentioned that I was not sure if my insurance was of any value and wanted someone to talk to me about costs. An hour before my appointment they called to reschedule my appointment. (They would probably charge me if I did that to them). I asked if someone could answer about the value of insurance and costs. Izzy told me that if I cancel my insurance to become a cash customer, then the fee would be $916!!!! I clarified; "This is simply a short visit where they do nothing by look?" Izzy said that the doctor may order some x-rays, but not always, otherwise it would still only be a consultation. Shocked I repeated, "$916 just to shake hands with a dentist?" Izzy told me I am not the type of customers they want, canceled my appointment and literally hung up on me! Flabbergasted, I called back to talk to the office manager. She listened, but did not apologize or attempt to retain me as a customer. read more

I came to this dental practice and they really tried to rip me off , the surgeon who only comes once a month stated I needed bone grafts on two of the wisdom teeth that were being removed. Offered to give me a discount on second bone graft , that's what raised my suspicions for he sounded more like a used car salesman, I went to get a second opinion and the surgeon said no bone grafts were needed and instead of paying the 2000 dollars this practice wanted to charge me I only paid 600 for the removal with my surgeon , seek a second opinion when coming to this practice read more

My office experience was negative every time I had appointment with the surgeon it was 1 hour late no matter how many times I complained never helped evn though I paid them over $5,000.00. If my appointment was at 10 they did not call me until 11 that happened several times unfortunately I had to keep my mouth shut because I was in the middle of surgery had to go back several times. Finally on May 10, 2024 my appointmen was 10:45 at 11:15 I complained they were rude I was upset thy told me "Get the hell out" then another male nurse came threaten me physically to throw me out, I am senior citizen with health issued I was embarresed. I took my daughter here because her insurance recommended this place. The WORST! They are insurance scammers. They took X-rays of my daughters mouth and then explained to me that she was too small and they couldn't work on her, that I had to take her to kids office. I said no problem. So I did. I wish I'd known about this place earlier! Dr. Khazali does beautiful work. I've seen some of the crown work she's done and it far surpasses what I have in my mouth from prior highly rated dentists- her crowns look like healthy teeth. She is very gracious, very talented and very pleasant to work with. Her staff spent time making sure that even my temporary crown is shaped to look like a regular tooth in my mouth. Her prices are good, her quality is excellent and the service is friendly and helpful. She is a nice person and a talented dentist. I'm working on getting my husband to switch over to her too. I have been going to this office dentistry for more than 15 years. It used to be called Pacific Dental, Dr. Schaeffer and his team were amazing people. Unfortunately he sold his practice and it is now called Oxnard Modern Dentistry and Orthodontic. Sad to say I don't feel welcome anymore therefor my family and I are leaving this dentistry. The person that helped me make this decision is the front office person by the name of Nancy, she was unprofessional and rude! For instance I was schedule for an appointment at 10am and without my consent someone changed the time. As I recalled, I got a call a few weeks back someone asking if I can change the time. That day, I never confirmed for the new appointment. However, the day before my appointment Nancy said I was to come in earlier. I comply with them and came in at the time they requested. My question is what if i couldn't make that appointment , most likely I would have to reschedule and possibly they would charge me for a no show fee. Oh yeah!! this happened to me multiple times, changing my appointment without me agreeing. Anyhow upon my arrival Nancy had told me in her loud unwelcoming voice that I needed to check in through the email she sent out. This check in thing is difficult I told her. She than raised her voice with anger and told me you have to do it! I started to have an anxiety attack because of the way she was speaking to me. Then she had the nerve to ask me do I want to reschedule. Why would I want to reschedule when I drove to your office , Nancy should understand that the gas prices are very costly. Moreover why would I waste my time and money to drive to the dental office. When I came back to have the temporary one removed, and have the permanent one put, she was also very patient and understanding. I've still NOT received my refund! This office TOOK my debit card and charged my account $774 in about 10 seconds when I was in the office on Nov 5. When their oral surgeon walked out on me, I went to the front desk and asked for the charges to my debit card to be reversed..
