    hotpot pho

Hotpot pho is an interesting concept but not that fun when attempted in practice. It was fun to try once but I probably would not go for it again... Not only was the food experience underwhelming, but the service was also very slow. We ordered an oxtail add on that we never got, and the refills for AYCE took a while to get to us. The space was fairly empty when we went, and music only started playing near the end of our visit. I would consider returning if I wanted Vietnamese food and I was in the area, but only if someone else was insistent on it.

Wonderful staff and vegetarian pho! So glad to have found vegetarian pho! Came here on a Friday evening and was able to find a seat no problem. Staff here is super attentive and sweet. I really appreciate how they pack their dishes with lord of toppings unlike other pho restaurants. I'd definitely come back again to satisfy my pho cravings :)

The veggie pho is fully loaded with vegetables and it's vegetarian and vegan friendly. Service could be a bit slow sometimes but please bear with her , there's only one person working and it's the owner. I had the special beef pho and it was fantastic. Soup base is tasty and good quality of beef used.

Came here for the 2nd time. I would say it is my go to oxtail soup place. I loved the broth, super rich and flavourful for sure. Ordered and shared the trio Banh mi sampler which included the roasted duck, bbq pork and Lemongrass pork. Hands down my fav would be the lemon grass pork, then the bbq pork (cause I love bbq pork in general) then the roast duck. All were super yummy, the bread was perfectly toasted. I mean nothing really bad to say overall. I mean I wished I tried more items to appreciate and give a full 5 stars. I wished they put a bit more beef balls in the oxtail pho tbh.

My friends and I came here for a late lunch because we were craving phô. The owner is really nice and she was doing everything herself- preparing food, serving, and more! We all ordered different types of phô and my friend had the shrimp fried rice. All deliciously flavorful and tasty! We also had the spring rolls, the duck bao bun, and a bahn mi. Really excellent fresh food- I highly recommend!

Tip: cash or Canadian debit only. I loved the decor with the yellow walls and wood pieces hanging. I ordered the house combination pho which presumably wasn't that great. The broth alone was not flavorful, requiring me to add lots of sauce! I'm always on the look out for a clean tasting, not greasy broth that doesn't require me to add any sauce. I shared the trio Banh mi sampler which included the roasted duck, bbq pork and Lemongrass pork (I believe...). Things I liked: the bread, lemon grass pork Things I didn't like: the bbq pork was too Smokey for my liking, roasted duck was dry. Veggies are pickled and then coated in a sauce. Veggie ratio was lacking. Bread shape...not a huge deal but when they cut this into thirds, it felt like I was eating an open faced pita with the toppings in the center. I'd just pass on this place altogether.

I ordered the oxtail pho. I found the soup base just mediocre. In fact, the soup base is not even as good as Ginger. The oxtail itself, however, was delicious and I enjoyed it very much. Overall, I find the place too expensive for the quality you get. The decor is nice and everything but they don't accept credit cards.

Recently I tried duck blood. So why not ox tail when my friends suggested it. This vietnamese pho restaurant is vibrant and cheerful. They do take out orders beside in house restaurant service. So they are bustling with the hustling lol. Although the dishes were all good, my favourites were: 1. Chicken red curry with rice. It was tasty and mild. There were plenty of chicken slices to share with my friends. 2. Basa fish fillet. Loved this. The batter was not oily nor heavy, making the fish easy to eat. 3. Crispy spring roll. The spring rolls are big and definitely crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Super delicious! 4. Ox tail pho. Nice flavorful soup. The ox tail was meaty. And lots of beef balls. I liked that because many pho places put like 2 or 3 beef balls and that's it. 5. Vietnamese iced coffee. Not a coffee drinker but I loved this one. Wish it was refillable lol. The service was good. They were quick to bring us the dishes and anything else we wanted. Even after we finished our meal, they didn't push for us to leave immediately and offered us more water. That was really nice of them and made me a happy tipper haha.

The service and ox tail pho is soooooo good. I came here after a night at the bar with a friend. It only got busier as the night progressed. Even when we left at 3am it still had customers enjoying the company and food. Would definitely recommend this place!

Vietnamese pizza style. Nothing to say because its PERFECT

I come back here today and i really shock cuz they just opened Vietnamese Pizza Style, which is my favourite food. Everything mixed together and made a best taste ever. A normal banhmi, a little bit honey pork sausages, a little bit meat floss, and siracha mayoxhot chili. Its PERFECT.

Vietnamese pizza, bao and dessert were super yummy!! Sadly, the oxtail pho was not too standards. Very plain broth- would not recommend.

I ordered the bun bo hue, pho, and spring rolls. The bun bo hue tasted more like a spicy pho broth, and the pho reminded me of the broth at the Michelin recommended restaurant on Ossington. Overall, the bun bo hue and spring rolls were just okay, nothing special. The pho was good if you're looking for something simple. They also put a large piece of beef tendon in the pho, which I loved! One thing I didn't like was that the owner seemed to be rushing us to order, which felt a bit off putting. I'd come back for the pho and spring rolls, but I'm not sure about the other dishes.

This really is soul food when you're feeling sick. My one quarrel with this place is the extremely small wide of their "large soup bowls" this is just terrible. I wish they would just go back to a regular large bowl of soup. This is the smallest "large" pho soup size I've had just about anywhere I've been. Honestly amazing place, but the portion of the soup really really irks me. Also the fried spring rolls are a must try! Incredible every single time.

The dry noodle dishes under the green column use egg noodles & those under the brown use rice noodles but the toppings & sauce are the same. The most pricey rice noodles are Japanese but otherwise the difference is width. Got the thin egg noodle version in large. It's recommended to add pickled garlic & red vinegar. The soup was pretty tasty with a natural sweetness, 2 springy half fishballs & a large, very fresh shrimp. The sauce was basically oyster sauce but pickled garlic, red vinegar, hoi sin & chili sauce were available to add complexity. The noodles weren't wet but were not dry either. Large was a very big bowl it came with minced pork, thin sliced pork beansprouts & greens. The pickled garlic was good. Also got a shrimp fritter on the side for $2.50. It was big with one tiny shrimp. The juxtaposition was comical but it was cheap. It was not warm but the fritter was crispy & tasty. Unfortunately the shrimp itself was dry & brittle. Service was good, especially for an Asian place.

I'd always prefer to dine where the "locals" dine, and being in a multicultural city like Toronto, it's difficult to fine a hidden gem that hasn't been invaded by foreigners (I'm laughing inside because I'm not Viet and am disliking myself for being that invader; however, I can pass for a Viet if I just point to the table I want and the menu item I'd like ).
