Revisited this restaurant after one year. I am pleased to report that the taste of the food, the attentive service and peaceful ambiance have been consistent since my last visit. The menu has been updated since last year to reflect the increase in food and transportation costs of their ingredients. Overall it has remained very similar in offerings compared to their original menu from last year which is a very positive thing. They still offer a wide variety of menu options which is nice to know. read more

Was in the area and feeling soupy and saw this place. YELP had good reviews, so I tried. I was there around 5:30 pm, the place was empty. It is spacious, clean, and welcoming. The owner/waiter was friendly & attentive and greeted me with a glass of tea. I ordered P1. Medium - Pho Dac Biet $13.99 (Pho with meatballs, tendon, tripe, rare & brisket beef)... basically their version of the "House Special." So the broth was good. It is very flavorful without the need to add anything. The meats were also done to my liking: tendons soft with just enough bounce, tripe clean tasting. The noodles cooked perfectly, but the portion was a bit small compared to other Pho places like Metro Pho. My usual goto Pho restaurant. So the Pho was good and I would recommend and would visit again if in the area. But it would not replace my usual Pho place in Scarborough. read more

This place is SOOO GOOD. Authentic and delicious Vietnamese food. I have had several of their dishes and can highly recommend the following: - goi tom (shrimp salad) - comes with generous portion of meaty grilled shrimp - bun (vermicelli dishes) with grilled pork and spring roll - their meat is really flavourful - bo kho (beef stew) - banh cuon (soft rice rolls) Their prices are very reasonable and the people who work here are lovely. They also have a display case in the front with takeaway items that are difficult to find, like banh da lon (glutinous sweet green and yellow dessert) and banh bo (like a steamed sweet rice cake) and che (Vietnamese coconut milk-based desserts). Normally I can only find these items downtown at Banh Mi Nguyen Hung. Honestly this place is worth the drive, and I'm happy to have found a new go-to Viet place. read more

After painfully waiting two hours at the Drive Test Centre a few doors down for Pho Toronto, my friend and I couldn't pass up grabbing lunch. Upon entering the nice brightly decorated venue, you had a choice of either booth or table seating. Here's a restaurant where size matters!...price wise that is, where you can have a choice of small, medium or a large serving. Our lunch consisted of a medium Pho Nam $9.50 - brisket beef rice noodle soup, a small Pho Thai Lan $8.50 - meat ball, rare meat, tendon tripe, brisket, tomyum sauce beef rice noodle soup, and a small appetizer of Rice Vermicelli Noodle $5.99 (...the accompanying peanut sauce was delicious). Very clean and flavorful broth. Little to no fat which tells me they skim the fat off and its not loaded with msg like a lot of places. Their other dishes are also good but I highly recommend this place for a good bowl of Pho. read more

Came by the plaza for the first time to get my driver's license renewed and found this gem. Had pho and it was really good - served at right temperature, clean broth and good portion. Restaurant has spacious seating, friendly and prompt service. I was getting tired of having to get pho as take-out since most Vietnamese restaurants in the neighbourhood decided to stop dine-in and resort to take-out only. Really good Pho place. Nice large restaurant with many seats and very clean. Great location with a lot of parking. Pho itself is tasty, comes out fast...had the P1 and nice assortment of meats including great meatballs. I like the noodles they use and the broth was very tasty. Pho lovers need to know that this place exists. Our usual spot closed down a few months back and we have been trying to find a replacement for quite awhile. We tried out quite a few different pho restaurants and nothing was to par. Finally we stumbled upon this place after the gym. We were skeptical at first as there were no reviews/couldn't locate online but decided to give it a go. The restaurant is brand new, with modern furnishings and an extremely nice bathroom. The pho (rare beef) and vermicelli (bbq pork with spring roll) were both terrific. The tea that accompanies the meal is perfect. The staff are extremely friendly, service is quick, they accept Apple Pay, and prices are fair. Since discovering this place, we have been back each week. Highly recommended from someone that has been eating pho for 15+ years. read more

Decided to give it a try based on the reviews. The portions were small. I order a small pho and they could of given more noodles. Oh there was also a eyelash I found in my pho. Other places I've been to are more generous. The rolls were okay. The chive wasnt too fresh in the roll. The service wasn't the greatest. Had to ask for tea refill and we asked for bill and it never came. Had to ask for it again. I probably won't return. I rather drive a bit further and go to pho metro. I've eaten here twice now. First time I got a simple Banh MI sandwich which was fine but not as good as other joints in markham which specialize in Banh Mi. Today I had the Pho, I dint quite enjoy it. The broth tasted very watered down and the amount of meat quantity for the house special was much less than other competition. I did like there beef balls (two balls, one regular size and the other a much smaller size. lol). I wasn't able to take a picture as I was starving after my workout, apologies on that... but IMHO there are better joints out there such as Pho Q and even the salty Pho metro which I'm not too fond off. Overall, I recommend they work on the ratios of meat and broth taste quality so that they will be able to atleast to be in comparison to other competing restaurants. I really like this place. The food is amazing and they give good portions . I went there several times since the opening and I was never disappointed. This is a good alternative to the ever-busy Pho Metro, for those who don't want to wait for a table. And it's only a few blocks away. The taste and prices are comparable. I agree with another reviewer that the pho broth is less salty but is still flavourful. Had the pho with rare beef and tripe - they were kinda chintzy on the beef though, but generous with the tripe. The fresh rolls were nice and plump including some authentic chives. Nice clean place. Staff can be more friendly though. read more

We went to grab a quick lunch. There was a lot of selection on the menu but it was not organised properly for us to understand which Vietnam's descriptions would go with which English translation. The menu was not clear. We though we ordered two wontons egg noodle soup and a vermicelli with grill pork and spring rolls. We did not realised that we accident gave the letter for the item under. We received the vermicelli with grilled meatball, grilled chicken, ben curd with mince shrimp and an Udon noodle soup with pork hog & shrimp. We then ask the server if it was possible to change it for the right item and he said no. We tried our best to own up to our mistake and not waist the food. My friend was able to still eat the order for the vermicelli and enjoy it because it was not too far from what he originally wanted. Unfortunately, it was impossible for the bowls of Udon noddle soup. I have ate Udon noodle before and I did enjoy it but this dish was quite different. The texture was very gelatinous, and there was a chop up unknown piece of meat with all the fat, the bones and the cartilage on it... I could just not eat it at all. It was way to far from anything I ever ate and it was activating my gag reflex. We explain to the server that those bowls of Udon were not to our liking in a very polite manner. He rolled his eyes and told us he would go ask. We could ear them talking in Vietnamese with a very rude tone of voice. Eventually he came back and said that he talk with the kitchen and that they confirmed we had no choice but to pay. We explained to him that we could accept paying for something that we did not eat at all because we were not able to ingest it. We did not even eat one spoon full. He rolled his eyes and took the two bowls back. When we ask if we could order the original meal we wanted he ignored us. At this point, we didn't want to stay any longer but we had to wait for our friend to finish her meal. This made the rest of our time there very uncomfortable. During that time, one of the other servers walked by and gave us the longest and dirtiest look as if we were repulsive.... We eventually paid and left. They did not charge us for the two Udon soups. After this incident, we actually took the time to research if we were in the wrong to ask to change our order because we did not like it. It said that any customer that goes in a restaurant in Canada has the right to send back a meal that he is not enjoying for something else. Anyway, I can say that I will not be returning. Service is very good here. The lady working was very attentive, she kept our tea filled throughout our visit and she was very polite with her service. Ie. she placed our dishes down in front of us instead of throwing the plates down. I had the pad Thai and my fiancé had pork vermicelli. Both dishes were very tasty. We did not feel rushed to eat and the environment is clean and bright. And although the pricing is a bit higher than other pho restaurants I will return because I had a good experience here. read more
