    Spring rolls

I always love eating at Pho mi,it's our family's go to place for as long as I can remember.it's affordable, good serving for the price and delicious!! Today,my bestie and I went to Latimer location and it's amazing! We absolutely loved the spring rolls! And also the main course ! I didn't take the picture of our drink- sour sop; but believe me you should try it NOW!!!!!! Good job Pho mi!

Got the pho with medium rare beef, brisket, and tripe and the piping hot bowl came out quickly. It was delicious and hit the spot. They did give us a lot basil and bean sprouts but no lime. We also shared the fresh shrimp spring rolls and it came with hoisin sauce with peanuts and that too was also delicious.

Ordered via uber eats. Unfortunately I found portions to be smaller for the price. I ordered #208 - pho tai bo vien (beef ball and rare beef) medium size for $12.50, cafe sua da (Vietnamese ice coffee) for $5.50 and #T24 - shrimp pad thai for $15.50. Normally I just stick to traditional viet dishes but I have had success before ordering pad thai at other viet restos so thought I would try. I thought the dish was quite strange tho, for a shrimp pad thai dish it was more curry tasting noodle? It was very dry and they gave me soy sauce and hot sauce to season? If you are craving pho and happen to be around this area, just stick to viet dishes.

My friend told me about the crispy beef vermicelli and I had to order it! I'm glad I ordered ahead of time using the Uber eats app because I saw the different ways to customize it. I actually swapped out the vermicelli for egg fried rice & I am so glad I did! It was SO GOOD! it also came with fish sauce which really pulled the dish together. The staff could have been more friendly & welcoming, but it doesn't reflect on their food. I would come back again.

Going into this, my friend told me it was the best pho place in Mississauga. A part of me believes them, while another part of me is wondering if this is all Mississauga pho has to offer?! I ordered the pork chop & chicken rice dish because I saw it as something popular with previous Yelpers (I also get rice dishes at other Vietnamese/pho restaurants). It was nice; refreshing really! From my past experiences, the chicken or pork rice dishes usually tastes like smokey, sweet BBQ. This dish hits differently! From my first bite, I was immediately taken over by infusion of lemongrass in the meat, along with thhe generic sweet BBQ flavour. The pho itself was good because it was different. I had never had pho broth that was both full of spice & smoke? The broth had that beautiful balance between herbs/spices, along with that lingering toasty flavour! It was absolutely delectable, & traditional. The Shrimp Fresh Rolls & the Pork Spring Rolls were average, they taste like every other pho place. However, the lemongrass flavour that I adore in the Grilled Pork Chop & Chicken marinate, was TOOO overwhelming. The roll was so fresh it started tasting like flowers...

Most of my original review still stands - go read that first. :P Updates: They were closed for a few weeks for renos/maintenance, and only recently re-opened. My family visited for dinner on the weekend. The restaurant looked pretty much the same - not much change in the dining room. Food was also similar. But prices all went up. Also this rather passive-aggressive note on the first page of their menu makes them less inviting now... The text says "Please refrain from allowing children to play with utensils" - in huge bright yellow letters. How welcoming. They do cram in a small "Thank You!"... as a plea to not be offended, I suppose. This may no longer be a regular spot for us any more...

Dropped in for a quick work day lunch as I was in the area. I was dining in solo so I was seated promptly. Order was quickly taken and my noodle soup (Thai beef noodle soup) came out piping hot with generous amount of rare beef. The broth was so flavourful but not salty which is always a plus for a soup drinker like me. I asked for bean sprouts and herbs as they did not accompany my meal and they promptly obliged. Service is quick and friendly. I will definitely come back if I'm back in the area.

Great Pho, fast service, good prices! This place had extraordinary portions (none of us finished our meal) and a wide variety to pick from! I think I looked at the menu for 15 minutes before I could decide on what tasted good. The spring rolls were to die for and the Seafood Tom Yum was packed with assorted fish.

Always such good food at Pho Mi 99. I came here on a weekday during lunch and was lucky enough to snag the last table before lunch rush and a wait. Our table of 3 was sat at a roomy booth and were given tea right as we sat down. A colleague of mine wanted to sub her vermicelli noodles with all veggie and they were happy to accommodate. I chose the vermicelli with grilled pork, sugar cane shrimp, and spring rolls (my guilty pleasure) and good arrived within 15 mins. The toppings were super fresh and the spring roll was really hot and crispy from just being fried. The noodles were pretty good and fish sauce didn't leave me super thirsty and needing water. The fast service here helps them with the most turnaround during the busy hours so it's great to see their speedy and efficient service while we were there. Would definitely recommend here if you're looking for some great Vietnamese food.

My favourite Vietnamese restaurant in the Mississauga area. I've been coming here for a few years now and the food is still great. It does get a bit busy at nights but the food does come pretty quick. I usually go for the rice dishes, pork chop on rice. It is a bit chewier, but it's still very good. The pho beef is also very good, not as fatty as some places. The broth is very smooth and not as oily. If you're looking for a quick cheap eat, this pho place is perfect.

This was on the first page...as well as on top of multiple pages on the menu. They must've really had a problem!

Note: Located right next to OSMOW'S. The exterior sign light wasn't turned on, so I drove by a coupla times and had some trouble finding it! Strip mall that it's located in is quite new. Not located in the plaza with primarily all Indian eateries. I think this place is fine. I can't really find any major faults, it's fast and relatively cheap. Small pho is quite small though at $7.50. It's enough for me, but it may not be if you're a big eater. Broth wasn't super tasty and a bit on the salty side. Wrapping on the fresh roll was a bit dry. Other than that, food did come super fast after ordering!

Absolute LOVE Pho Mi 99. It feels like dining with family every time we go for dinner or take out. Food: 5 stars, hands down. This is our favourite location and the food is so fresh and tasty. Come hungry because the portions are big and good value for your money. Pho is delicious but they have a TON of other options with pictures in the menu. Some of our favourites are: cubed beef & pork chop, Shanghai fried rice and vermicelli with pork and spring rolls. Service: Service is fast and it can become busy during evenings and weekends. Friendly staff too! Take out is popular at this location, as is dining in. Photos taken by @CheatEatsTO on Instagram.

Vermicelli and vegetarian deep fried spring rolls good flavour, big portion, $9
    Monika W.

This is a solid Vietnamese restaurant. They've got all the staples. Their portions are big and their prices are less than Toronto prices which I happy about. I hear that the pho is not the most flavourful but that it is worth having again. I usually get Vermicelli and vegetarian deep fried spring rolls $9 and theirs are quite good. If I'm in the area and I'm feeling like a casual meal and don't want to spend a whole lot, this is always a good choice. Some dessert places closeby too.

The dining area, food stations and bathrooms were all very clean, which is so important at a buffet. They even have gloves at the end of each station in case you didn't want to touch the serving utensils with your bare hands. The variety of food goes from everything you can imagine at a Chinese buffet like sushi and fried rice to American options like burgers and fries, to surprises in-between like New England clam chowder and prime rib. Tons of dessert- hard ice cream, cakes, pies, fruit, jello, even Crème brûlée and waffles. One of my favorite surprises was the variety of mocktails. Most places offer me pop as a mocktail or a Shirley Temple at best. Decent pricing. Father's Day special dinner menu was $50/pp (Canadian) about $36/pp (American) which is pretty great for all you get and that's WITH their high tax. I believe the refular pricing is about $10/pp less. A must try only 30 minutes from Western NY.

They were quite busy with takeout orders which I took as a good sign. We ordered the Beef Sirloin Noodles level spicy and numb(4/5), Breaded Shrimp (5/5) Seafood Fried Rice (4/5) and Lamb Skewers (4/5). Beef Sirloin Noodles were delicious. The broth itself was not overly salty compared to other places we've been to. I enjoyed the addition of peanuts to this dish for that extra crunchy texture and nutty taste. The noodles were cooked perfectly. They were bouncy and chewy. The beef itself was good. Some were a tad bit chewy. I wish there was more bok choy. We'd also opt for extra spicy and extra numb next time. Breaded Shrimp was enjoyable. You can't go wrong with this dish. It was crispy, and the batter to shrimp ratio was decent. Seafood Fried Rice was good as well. Again, we liked how it wasn't overly salty. We were able to sense the taste of the seafood. I wish they added more scallops since we only got two pieces in the whole dish. Lamb Skewers were satisfying flavour-wise. We really liked the seasoning on them. It was on the chewier side but it was manageable. We'd like to try their other skewer options next time. Overall, such a good spot for affordable and delicious food. I'm glad my family recommended this place. I'd like to point out that a customer was being problematically entitled and rude yet the female server stayed professional. I thought she handled the situation quite calmly which I wanna commend her for. P.S. The restaurant has a sign on their door saying not to bring pets inside. It is a nice local spot to get your Chinese food cravings fixed. Their menu seems to be the same for all locations, the only difference being the price, all locations potentially the same other than the downtown location. See their website: https://www.congeequeen.com/menu.php and select your location. It has been a while since we have eaten at the Congee Queen outside of the Toronto (Dundas/Yonge) location, so we were a bit surprised at the price difference (8-10% difference). This location (Heartland Town Center) feels like it has the right price for the menu. With cash, you also get a 10% discount. We were here on a Wednesday for an early dinner around 15:30 - 17:00 and it was about medium full for the main area. People were coming and going at a good pace. For our group of four, we ordered: - B3 Salmon Congee $11 ($12 downtown) - H11 Chicken Salted Fish Fried Rice $18.25 ($19.75 downtown) - K34 Fried Bean Curd with Veggie $19.50 ($21.50 downtown) - K42 Salt and Pepper Squid $16.50 ($18.25 downtown) - K53 Fried Chili Turnip Cakes $13.75 ($15.00 downtown) Service was a bit slow, but not the longest as there were only 2-3 staff taking orders that day for about 15-20 tables. If you signaled for assistance, they will come. Once ordered thought, the food came out in about 5 mins and all the dishes were ready soon after. Tea is refilled on request, just ask. As usual, the fried rice and congee is what they are known for, it was excellent as usual. Depending on the group you go with, YMMV, but for our order combination, this usually works comes out at the same time and everything is hot and tasty. The turnip cakes are the softer type and they even accommodated checking for shrimp. They are usually good about seafood checks. All in all, great experience. With the discount and tips all in, it was less than $100 total at $25 per person. It has been a while since we've eaten out with a group at that price point. Will keep in mind to meetup at any of the non downtown locations in future.

So for a family occasion, we headed again to the Heartland location with its distinct high ceiling resembling cool porcelain. This place was packed as usual with a waitlist register at the front. We didn't wait long to be seated but the service and dishes were generally disappointing. After dropping off a pot of tea, no one bothered to check in on us again. While we usually have the super bowl congee, the exorbitant prices nowadays for porridge that we can make at home with a blender is difficult to justify. Instead we had Empress Fried Rice ($22) that was served like slop but was still nicely balanced between sweet unagi glaze topped with bonito flakes. We cleaned the sides to make it more presentable for our meal. The dishes that followed next were hit & miss on the seasoning. Sweet Corn Garoupa Fillet ($24.25) was served with the battered fish along side a cup of thick corn soup but lacked flavour whether we dipped in the soup or not. Similarly the Mixed Fungus & Fried Gluten in Hot Pot ($24.25) was also light on flavour despite being one of our usual go-to dishes here with good variety of mushrooms. While Stir Fried Sirloin with Rice Roll in Satay Sauce ($18.75) was quite savoury with a good amount of sirloin chunks but too salty. Skip it or hit it? For a $100 meal, we'll be thinking twice about whether to visit this location again.

Usually also get a bowl of seaweed soup with your order (per person) though this time around we didn't get any. We ordered a lot for dinner. For appetizers, we ordered the braised pork pan-fried buns, which were amazing. The bun was really fluffy, and the filling was flavourful and just the right amount of juicy. We also had chive pork dumplings. These were also good, though I admit I prefer the pan-fried ones. In particular, our dumplings came out kind of gummy. We had some scallion pancakes which were nice and crispy, and very flavourful. Then, some dried beancurd sticks that were just the right amount of spiciness. Do keep in mind the beancurd sticks are cold (it surprised me the first time I had it). Finally, we had some honey garlic chicken wings. They fry their chicken wings really well, and they don't overdo the sauce which is great. We did have trouble fitting all of this on the table since we ordered so much. We managed, but just keep this in mind if you like to order a lot of appetizers. We each ordered a main. My boyfriend had the lemongrass chicken with egg on rice, which he enjoyed. I also enjoyed my Taiwanese braised pork. My pork dish was amazing and they cooked the egg really well. I was missing my time in Taiwan so I ordered the Taiwanese Braised Pork and Egg on rice. We also ordered Pumpkin Pie with Red Bean Filling, stir-fried rice noodles with bean sprouts, Juicy Chinese Pork Burger, and their Juicy Cheese Beef Burger. Everything was quite good especially the Chinese Pork Burger. The outer shell was so crispy and the pork meat was so juicy and was seasoned just right. The Taiwanese Braised Pork rice was good but definitely not as good as in Taiwan lol. Also, if coming here, you have to try their signature pan fried buns. That is what they are known for. We didn't order it this time because we've had it a bunch of times already. Overall, this restaurant always hits. We decided to pass, and judging from the dishes we did order, that was probably the right decision. The hot and sour soup had plenty of heat and tang but lacked depth of flavor and was under-seasoned for my taste. Fortunately, we only ordered a small bowl. The deep-fried tofu was bland and forgettable. The stir-fried shrimp was acceptable but nothing special. The biggest disappointment was the sweet and sour pork. I specifically asked the server to make sure the pork was crispy, but it arrived soft and lumpy rather than light and crunchy. Even the complimentary red bean dessert soup was watery and lacked flavor. Our bill came to about $104 for two people. For the quality of the food, I didn't feel it offered good value. Sadly, after several disappointing visits, I don't think we'll be returning.

I've lived in Toronto, Durham, Peel and I can definitely say its been the hardest to find goood late night greasy Chinese food here in the Port Credit end of Mississauga. I'm still on the hunt! Customer service here was great. I called asked a few questions, than went in and grabbed a menu and went back to my car. Called over the phone and ordered she didn't know it was me and asked if i knew where they were located which was nice. So My order was General tao chicken ( we usually get chilli chicken but don't like it dry, prefer the sauced up spicy, so this is the equivalent at some places), chicken balls, chicken fried rice, and chicken wings. The total was about 40$, which is fair and the portions were alot less to what I was used to. The general tao chicken was not even a little bit spicy, even though she said it was so that was disappointing. On top of that the breaded part of the chicken was extremely soggy and the plate was full of soggy over cooked veggies underneath. the chicken wings were fried and greasy tasted great and well seasoned. Just not like what I'd usually get from a Chinese take out place as it just looked different the way it was breaded and fried. The rice was in a really small container w under cooked pieced of chicken that was very slimy and white and the rice was very bland. I had to overkill w soy sauce and bit of red sauce. Lastly the chicken balls of course 80% balls 20% chicken but tasted fine, just nothing special. I mean it was cheap and last minute but i definitely feel like i would not have ordered here if i had known cheap or not. They have alot to improve on or mayb they are better at making other items listed in reviews from others. Not sure how they have 5 stars. but hey to each their own right!

They have an assortment of meat dishes, from chicken to beef to seafood. They even serve duck and lobster, although I have yet to try. The interior is quite welcoming and feels like a very old-school Chinese restaurant. The service is incredibly quick and they make sure to take your orders quickly, so if possible, try to look at the menu ahead of time or have an idea of what you want. We placed our orders and they gave us a nice hearty soup for free. It was a nice surprise. This time around, we ordered sauteed scallops, beef with Maggi sauce, and the Yeung Chow fried rice. Everything was excellent. The rice had amazing flavour, and I like any sort of fried rice that combines meat and seafood so that was a plus. The scallops were also cooked really well. The beef with Maggi sauce was the star for me. Salty and savoury and the mushrooms and onions go so well with it. I would recommend it if you like an intense salty flavour. They also gave us a red bean porridge for desert. It was just fine for me but it was complementary so I can't complain. Overall, an amazing place to have Chinese food and super affordable as well. The portions are quite generous so you'll definitely get your money's worth.
