Always love the food here and try to make it a point here every time I can. The service is fast and friendly. Nice local family owned place to get some fresh ono grinds.

A family operated business that you just might miss because it's tucked away in the backside of a building. On the plus side, there is lots of parking and you can be in and out pretty quick. Aside from the Okazuya items, I love that they make your food to order so it's hot and fresh. I've mentioned before that I'm a brown gravy snob and I love their brown gravy! A true, legit brown gravy not turkey gravy or watery light brown gravy. Their luscious gravy topped on their food just warms your heart for any local. Workers are nice and so far I haven't been disappointed with anything I've tried. My favorite choice would be the breakfast bowl. Prices are reasonable in consideration of what you're getting, pretty standard and comparable to other businesses. Casual vibe and continue to support local!

You'd never know this place existed. It's located in the very back of an office building. Took us a minute to locate it. The restaurant is only for take out and not dine in. We got spam masubi and loco moco. Best loco moco in all of Maui! The gravy is insane. The masubi was also delicious. Only downside was that it took 20 minutes to get our food. I'd definitely come back though!

I've lived here since 2018 (from Oahu), and have eaten things from here but never ventured in...until now. They used to be located near the Maui specialty chocolates, if I'm not mistaken, and moved to this current location near Lono Ave. it's located in a small two-story building, right behind a Tesoro gas station. Parking is plentiful in the back, tho the stalls are a bit small. Cute little mom and pop okazuya. Small hot and ready bar with things like dry mien, fried rice, Teri hotdogs, hash patties. I came later in the day so most was out, but they have menu to order things like loco moco, fried rice plate, spam musubi, etc. They also sell punaluu bread and take credit cards. There is a small area inside with chairs to either wait or eat. The reason why I docked a star was because once I got to the car and ate, I noticed the hot line items weren't hot (warm at best).

Talk about a local spot! Run by what looked like a handful of Japanese grandmas just trying to serve good food! We came kind of late but the kitchen was still open. We got a side order of teriyaki beef and dry saimin. Sooooo reasonably priced and delicious. The beef was on the sweeter side but paired really well with the noodles! Portions were large too.

Finally stopped here, and it was pretty good. Food here is pretty reasonable with good portion size. Today I had the hamburger steak. The patties are house made not preprocessed patties and were moist. Taste was good and came with choice of pickled vegetables or salted cabbage and green salad or Mac salad. Coming back for sure

A super small hole in the wall spot! No dine in, take out only! Only opened until 1pm. We ordered two masubis ($3 each) and the piggy breakfast($12)! The masubis were good and flavorful. The piggy breakfast is a nice simple breakfast option! Had all the breakfast meats with two eggs and a lot of rice. The aunties are in the back cooking the food to order and there is also a hot food line with a bunch of options. They are sweet and friendly and hook it up w the food.

This is one of my fave places to grab a tasty and hearty breakfast in Kahului. Oyako Tei never disappoints on the flavor and portion sizes of their meals. On many occasions, this is our first stop as we land in Kahului. It always takes us a minute or two to decide on what to order, since everything is so "ono". The ladies who work here are so friendly and accommodating. I feel like I'm eating at one of my aunties houses. On this visit, we ordered a Big Breakfast, a Piggy Breakfast, Da Loko Moko and a Breakfast Bowl. We always order different items, since we're going to share back at our condo. Everything was cooked just right and tasted good. My "momona" was quite happy.

We got there right after opening and there were a handful of diners seated ahead of us and no wait. My perception was that it's a mom running it with her sons but I could be totally off here. The food is incredible, tasty, hot, flavorful and even customizable. And WOW IT IS GOOD! UMAMI the food is so perfectly crafted together. I had a spicy soup no egg, my husband a customized ramen, and my best friend had something or other. Pork bun was nice and I enjoyed the mayo ratio. Gyoza? Oh definitely fresh and handmade in house THEY ARE GOOD, GOOD. If you eat here don't leave without trying an order of Gyoza. Portions were great, at least for someone like me who really enjoys ramen and drinking down the broth like there's no tomorrow. The place has a nice mood inside where you can feel the Japanese influence radiating from the walls. Overall it's pretty neat and comfortable.

Most known for their Teishoku (Set Meal) Trays that include Rice and Miso Soup. I got my favorite, Teishoku B which includes Teriyaki Steak, Shrimp & Vegetable Tempura, and a few slices of Ahi Sashimi. I wanted my steak Medium Well and it was perfectly done and the teriyaki sauce was a good balance of tangy and sweet. Pour a few drops of Shoyu on the Sashimi and dip it in the Hot Mustard sauce in the middle of the tray. The star of my tray is the Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura. They fillet the shrimp so it was a HUGE shrimp tempura piece along with strands of carrots in tempura batter, tempura asparagus and a tempura eggplant. It was so crispy and tasty. I've been to Japan and this is Japan level tempura and the best on Maui, hands down. I came around 1 pm and they close at 1:30 pm and I got my order in 5 minutes with maybe 4-5 parties seated around me. The aunties were attentive and helpful. I really love katsu, so I got the Pork Katsu plate, which comes with a scoop of rice and your choice of side (I chose potato salad). I loved the crispiness of the pork katsu, it came nice and hot. The Japanese rice was carb heavy, just how I love it. The potato salad was good, although I typically crave a macaroni salad with my Hawaiian plated food. There was a huge line when I arrived, and I was afraid, very afraid. However, it was a bunch of people standing around who had already ordered (another sometimes bad sign). But, I actually ordered without any line, and those people quickly dissipated. My food probably came within 10 mins. In that 10 mins, we ate the poke first, then got our Ichiban order quickly after. The two restaurants are so close together by driving, that I would highly recommend pairing the two restaurants together, if you want to share food items, and try different Hawaiian things, without making an extra trek. Would definitely recommend it right after getting off the airplane too! I can't say it was worth driving here all the way from Kaanapali though, since there's nowhere to sit down. There's a parking lot right at the restaurant itself, and it's just to-go, but you are allowed to eat in the parking lot. So can't really say much about ambiance. The service was quick though, and credit card was allowed. Not bad.
