So this place is amazing.. well it is - but what makes it amazing is Carrol the bartender. We pulled into town and this was the first place we visited. We ended staying her whole shift. She treated us like kings and made us laugh like kids. Honestly one of the best bartender/persons I've met on the road. Don't be fooled and DO the oyster shot. Eat the pizza and play some machines. let's just say the food's not so great oysters don't look so fresh and when they get your drinks, she puts her hands in the olive container and drop them in your drink after handling everybody's money and everything same with lemons and limes and everything else we seen two bartenders do this. bartender doesn't know how to make very many drinks. They ignored us at the bar for 10-15 minutes. Asked if they have a cocktail menu or a drink they were known for since it was a tiki bar and also during Mardi Gras and every other place had Mardi Gras themed cocktails. They made the question seem like we were nuts. Asked what kind of scotch they had and a bartender not waiting on us goes "ahh nothing and nothing" and walks away. We stopped here for lunch. I ordered a fried oyster sandwich just to have the waitress tell me that they were out of oysters! So I ordered a fried fish sandwich instead. The others in my party had a pub burger and a chili burger. We ordered cokes which were $2.50 each for a 16oz. The fish sandwich advertised 2 fish fillets, but came with fish nuggets. The burgers were frozen and microwaved till warm. Our bill was $67 for 3 burgers and a sandwich, 2 orders of fries and 3 cokes. I very rarely write one star reviews but this place really annoyed me. So we come in and sit down, waitress comes over and takes our drink order. 10 minutes later still now drink. Second waitress/bartender comes over take the drink order and food order we tell her we been waiting for drinks and she says she will get it taken care of. 5 minutes later we see her go to a a different table take their orders and bring them drinks. So at this point we decided to get up and leave. I don't think I've ever had this happen to me but I would definitely not recommend this establishment. read more

Husband and I (early 30s) sat down at the bar and were passed by MULTIPLE times. A few more people sat down at the bar (obviously older than us) and were served well before we were. Finally the bartender came and asked what we wanted, we ordered 2 beers and a pizza. Then tossed the check down in front of us. Pizza was great. I finished my beer half way through the meal and was never asked if I wanted anything else. Meanwhile, anyone who was clearly older than us got the attention you should give every customer. I've served in restaurants and bars most of my working life and can not even imagine ignoring a couple that way. I'm not sure if she just thought we didn't have the money to tip well but that is FAR from the case. Probably the worst service I have ever received. read more

My friends and I went looking for some food and came across this stinky ass dump. We had to actually shower after because we reaked of deep fried food and desperation . There was a man there who claimed to be the lead singer of Winger, he told us he has a "surprise for us later " and to "stick around" . His shoes and homemade haircut said otherwise. A man middle aged man named Malcome, who appeared to be alone the entire time attempted to sing karoki . I will never get back those 6 minutes of my life. After dancing on the stage we were then punished by reviving an oyster shooter . We watched in horror as one person in our group took the shooter. A large string of mucus dangled from the plastic ramikin to his lip. Delightful All in all it was an unforgettable expierence and one I'll never forget . Thank you read more

They smelled like a dirty aquarium. I asked if they were fresh and the waitress told us "No. When we get them in we freeze them then thaw some in the mornings." We never got our drinks! Unfortunately the food here was awful. Fish and chips was frozen fish sticks and fries. Fries were good but that's not worth the money. All fried seafood tastes old and smells super fishy. Waitress asked how it was (only came by the table once) and walked away as we started to tell her. Not recommend for food. read more

Went to Oyster Bay Saturday October 6 during Oktoberfest the service was slow. We ordered five oyster shooters, 4 Event beers, and a Jell-O shot. She said it was $32.00 and some change. I handed her $40.00 (2-10' & a $20.00). She rang it up and didn't hand me my change of $ 7.?? just put my change in her tip jar and told me thank you very much and disappeared into the kitchen. I had to try to explain to the other bartender what was going on. That I wasn't tipping her $7.00 She was very dismissive and it still took her about 10 minutes to get the situation figured out and she handed me my money back. Which then I tipped her $2.00. She sighed and I told her I decide what to tip it's not up to you I definitely wouldn't be tipping seven for the service we received. Never did see the original bartender againThey only had two bartenders working and they were running the kitchen at the same time. One of the poorest experiences in quite some time. Food was poor quality, most fried foods with a bad oily aftertaste. Service was abysmal, two different tables came and left because their tables weren't attended to for 10+ minutes. Tons of flies, couldn't keep them away from my kids or ourselves. There aren't many food choices in Deadwood, which is the only reason we stopped in here for a quick drink and a round of appetizers. The initial plan was to get dinner, then we took a look around. This place is dingy and you just know they make their money from the casino. The bar was disgusting, flies all over the bar area, with built up muck on the countertop bar mats. The Mardi Gras decorations and necklaces in the middle of July was a nice classy touch. It was quite the disappointment, the service was friendly, but the food was "meh", nothing special. I guess we should have realized it isn't a risk worth taking when a restaurant/casino has a tanning salon located in the back of the dining room. Yes. A tanning salon. We quickly drank our beers, then asked for the check. It's a bummer because this place is named after the original Oyster Bay, which is shown in all the old photos seen throughout the historical center. Though this restaurant/bar is in a pretty cool historic building and it's claim is that this is where Wild Bill ate his last meal - I would not waste my time eating here. The seafood was far from fresh - more like frozen fried seafood that is not very recognizable when you bite into it. My fried shrimp and cod was like mush on the inside and the smoked oysters we ordered got me thinking how on earth were these things stored. We were the only customers which should have been a clue. The bartender was pleasant, the menu was limited. Everything was straight out of the freezer. The crab cakes were very similar to pre-made crab cakes you might purchase at your local grocery store--lots of breaking and not much crab. Thank goodness it was inexpensive.
