I scheduled the work around last November, as I wanted my deck to be refinished and looking good for the full 2025 season. The first days with decent weather in late April the deck was washed, and by early May the deck was finished. A crew of 2 worked a full day power washing and bleaching the deck and 2 sections of yard fencing. Every part of the deck was thoroughly cleaned, including areas not normally visible, and all areas of the deck that were surrounded by bushes. Within about a week, as soon as we had a few sunny days and warmer weather, a crew of three worked a full day sanding and staining the deck and fence. The deck floor was power sanded, and all other surfaces were hand sanded, before all sawdust was carefully blown away and stain was applied. Deck Doc did an outstanding job, and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Communications regarding scheduling were excellent, work was done competently and on the days and at the times promised. Their communication skills definitely need improvement, they constantly left us hanging where we had to contact them for updates During the 5 month period of signing contract to job start. Work completed in October 2022. By December of 2022 water started leaking in around frame work and we contacted them to check it out. Office girl said she would pass message on. Nothing! Emailed them in February of 2023 with a reply in March of 2023 they would see about getting us on schedule when contractor feeling better. Pictures sent of water leaks and sub par work done by contractor. And nothing again from them until August of 2023. Told them our concerns and got nothing but we did nothing wrong, we'll come over to do water test, that frame probably needs more caulking. Finally beginning September water test done and showed leaks by frame and foundation advised would come next day to Re caulk. NO SHOW as usual. During all this we contacted new contractor who also inspected their work and found numerous things done wrong. Advised Grub Inc. at this point we contacted someone else to fix problems. Their response was ok sounds good!! This contractor will never admit he did something wrong just likes to argue.
