    Garden Fresh Skillet

Went here on a Saturday morning at about 11:00 AM. The restaurant was packed, and we had to join the "Waitlist". You get on the wait list by scanning a QR code with your phone and enter your name, number of people and phone number. When your table is ready, they send you a text letting you know that your table is ready. This wait list was convenient and let us walk around the mall instead of waiting in a line up. Although, we only had to wait 15 minutes until we got that text. There were three of us and they gave us a booth table. Our server was friendly and took our drink orders first. We ordered a latte, a caramel cappuccino, and an expresso. After getting our drinks our waiter too our order. We ordered the following: Angus Benedict Pesto Philly Steak Skillet Garden Fresh Skillet The coffees were all good and fresh and the brunch items were all very good. Each were generously portioned and made with fresh ingredients. With the quality of the food and the excellent service, I can understand why this place does so well and why they setup the waitlist system. I would return.

Tried this new brunch place at square one and enjoyed our time there. Nothing too special about the food, typical brunch menu, but it was yummy. We like the ambience there, very kids friendly and the server was super nice. The kids menu is great! Would go back.

We got there and got a table right away. Waitress's were nice considering having to wait awhile for our drinks due to it being so busy. They were accommodating to my egg allergy considering everything comes with egg. The toast wasn't really toasted or buttered but other food was great! It was busy and the restaurant was loud but otherwise we'll be back!

I have nothing bad to say about this place Excellent food,…read moregreat service and great ambiance I was greeted very warmly by the staff and the waitress ( Veronica ) was very helpful and spent time to walk me through the menu and offer her reccomendations I ended up getting the fried chicken Benedict and it was delicious I only give it 4 stars bc it wasn't "blow me away good" but definitely good enough to warrant a second visit If you're in the area, check this place out and ask for Veronica!

This place gets extremely busy so I suggest adding your name on the waitlist prior to going here…read more The place has lots of seating though the aisles can get quite tight. I ordered the Southwest Steak Hash with Scrambled Egg Whites (4/5). The potatoes had a nice texture to them. They were crispy on the outside yet pillowy soft on the inside. I love the addition of the fried onions too. The steak, however, was not as tender and juicy as I hoped to be. The guac could've used some more lemon. The sauce was good with its flavour tying in the dish. It was creamy and delicately spicy. I asked for tabasco sauce for that extra kick! We were seated right next to the washrooms and right in front of the entrance of the kitchen which was unpleasant. Hence, why I deducted a star. I don't think they should even offer this table to customers. Our server was great. She was attentive and friendly, and she always took the time to check in on us and top up our coffees and water.

They offer Malaysian/singaporean dishes which is sometimes hard to find. The place was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. I ordered the Malaysian curry laksa with a half udon half vermicelli noodles. The broth was so coconuty and shrimpy which is how I likey laksa. Good amount of garnish of shrimp, tofu, and fish balls. The only thing was the noodles was more vermicelli than the udon. I think next time I'll order it I'll get it for udon only. Definitely coming back here for the bakkutteh dish my other favourite!

The place was far from crowded when we showed up, and we were told to check out the menus and place our order at the front. We decided to share the House Special Sandwich ("Pork loin marinated with house special recipe, tomato, fried egg, cabbage and peanut butter") and the Malaysian Street Style sandwich ("4oz ground beef with a taste of M'sian spice, tomato, fried egg, lettuce and sweet & spicy sauce"). (I also got a milk tea to drink, and it was really good. Very rich but not too sweet.) The sandwiches were both excellent. They were packed with flavor and the various components all worked really well together. The Malaysian Street Style did flirt with being just a little too sweet, but it was balanced out with the other components. Everything was decently priced, too. The bill, with tip, came out to around 25 bucks, which is great considering the quantity and caliber of food we were given.

When dining in, you order at the counter, get a number, and they bring your food to the table. Breakfast items are available until 4 p.m., and after that they serve salads, bowls, and sandwiches. On my first visit, I had a hot chai latte with espresso and it was absolutely delicious. The second time, I tried the iced pumpkin spice latte and didn't love it. The pumpkin spice syrup is homemade, which is nice, but the flavor fell a little flat and the large glass was mostly milk, which overpowered the drink. For food, I've tried the egg sandwich simple but good. The spinach feta croissant was heavy on the spinach, light on the cheese, and even though I asked for it warmed up, it was still cold in the middle. Their bowls are very fresh, but I found them a little under-seasoned and could've used more dressing or a sprinkle of seasoning to tie everything together. Overall, it's a cozy spot with an inviting vibe (I love their "stay awhile" sign on the wall). I think it really depends on what you order and your personal taste. For some, the fresh and lighter options might be perfect. For me, a little more flavor and balance would make it great.

In warmer weather, they open the large windows, and it's quite a nice atmosphere. Came for coffee, but was blown away by their breakfast plates. They have a small selection of beautiful pastries on display too. Their Omelette plates are made with fresh ingredients, well-seasoned home fries, and fresh bagels.
