Fake Recipe I ate this pizza at this location since the mid 1950's through 2004. I don't eat it anymore because when it opened under new ownership in 2008, the recipe is fake. Let me be clear that the owners are good people trying to make an honest buck. My problem is with the people who say 1) it's the original 2) it's equal to Phillippi's who own the original Mooney & Lefty Martz recipe. The fake P&M recipe is not even close to Phillippi's (the original). It doesn't taste the same, the cheese isn't the same, the sauce isn't the same, the crust isn't the same, it doesn't smell the same. They resemble each other from a distance.... IF you need to get your vision checked. I've posted a link and some photos of the real pizza and the fake (P&M). I've also posted a link (and screen shots) of the original owners living relatives more or less saying that it's fake. If you like it, great. I don't. Was craving pizza, and my dad suggested this was a good place in the area that had really unique pizza. We ordered cheese pizza, pepperoni and onion, and steak bacon and jalapeño pizza. The pizza was a little slow to get out but the service was friendly none the less. I've never seen a steak bacon and jalapeño pizza offered before and it sounded very enticing so i ordered it and was very pleased with how it tasted. More places should offer that combination because it hit the spot. The cheese is definitely unique but it tastes good. Before saying anything else, this spot is CASH ONLY, so if you're like many folks, you may need to hit an ATM. This place was a pretty big spot to hit during high school and this is the first time I've gone back since then. I asked for the pizza to be well done and I did enjoy the pizza. They didn't skimp on the toppings, the pizza had some char on it, and I do think that they serve an above-average pie. The only issue I had is that it that the cheese is a mix. By the looks and the taste, it looks like they add in some American cheese with the mozzarella and I wasn't a huge fan of that. This is once again just my own personal tastes. I know people that do like different cheeses added, and if you're one of those folks, there's a good chance that you'll enjoy the pizza. I do want to also say that if you're ordering a pizza from here and you're feeding several folks, or you're just really hungry, I'd try to keep in mind that it is a very thin pie so you may want to step up a size. read more

Because P&M was highly recommended by my boyfriend.. I was so intrigued to learn of this pizza .. since I am no doubt a huge NY style thin crust pizza fan. I had to find out what was so special about this pizza.. I have heard you either "love it " or "hate it" well folks.. the verdict is in and I in fact love it! The pizzeria is located in downtown Arnold.. off the beatn path no less. I got a warm vibe just walking into the restaurant. We sat at a cozy booth in the back part of the restaurant. Started off with red ribbon "cherry" sodas which were totally appropriate (bottled Natrona Bottling Co) and so delicious and refreshing. Plenty of options to the menu but we were interested in the "original thin crust P&M pizza". It arrived piping hot .. and within a few minutes was cool enough to enjoy. The cheese is what makes the pizza so good.. and lack of dough too. I love the combination of the pepperoni and cheese. The cheese blend is a big secret and their specialty. I think its nacho cheese or similar type cheese. It's no doubt good and worth the trip to get the pizza. $10.00 for a large - original" thin crust pizza.. totally the right price. It used to be really good back in the day, but the last couple times I had their pizza, it just wasn't the same. The birdville pie at Phillipiis Family Dining in Natrona Heights is the same recipe, but better quality. It's a different kind of pizza, but I'm sure those who eat here know this. P&M is a bit of a local legend with the unusual cheese that they use on their pies. It's sort of a yellow cheese tasting something like Velveeta on a very thin crusted pizza. People seem to either love it or hate it. I love it personally. If that's not your thing, they also make more traditional pizzas. Just about the best pasta and bolognese sauce that I've eaten ever. Great meatballs. I live a couple of blocks away and delivery is almost always at my door in less than 20 minutes. Always courteous. They don't always get to the phone in time to answer on the first call. They always pickup on the second try. Definitely worth redialing. read more

Not the best pizza. They specialize in a thin cracker like pizza. The pizza I don't care for unless its their regular traditional without the weird processed cheese. The crowd at times is uppity uppity which is odd. Parking is horrible and be sure to lock your doors. Pizza is one of my all.time favorite foods, their is expensive and not great. Phillipies has something like it call the birdville taste WAYYYY BETTER! Seating is cold and uncomfortable and not good for families. P&M Pizza is awesome. The Original P&M is unique to this area. It has some crazy cheese blend that is really tasty. It's worth trying. If you don't like the Original P&M, you should try the New York Style pizzas. The strange pizza in P&M is a New Ken delicacy, but loses points because the location is in a shady neighborhood. Go in the afternoon only. The pizza has to be tried to be believed, and even then most people can't stand it. P&M pizza needs to be tried twice. An acquired taste. The pizza is not bad the cheese if certainly different, but what i found bothersome, was after ordering by phone for pick-up i got there to find they only accept cash with the only atm nearby located in their bar for a $1.75 fee in increments of 20.00. Their original pizza is so horrible we could not eat more than a bite! It has no sauce and I'm pretty sure they use some sort of spray on cheese product in lieu of it. Neither the menu nor the server explained the very nontraditional style of pizza it was.We fell prey to the thought that the house original would be the best option. When the server came and saw we didn't eat it and didn't want a box to take it to go, she said "well it's not for everybody" and rushed to get our check without even offering any compensation or even to refill our drinks. She actually ran past us and dropped the check on our table after that. The service is poor and the pizza is poorer and the neighborhood is risky at best. If you are considering this place, go to the grocery store and pick up a frozen pizza to make at home. It's less expensive, less risky and tastes a whole hell of a lot better. read more

When I heard P&M Pizza in Arnold was open again We had to run right over and grab some pizza. The pizza was just like I remember with the orange cheese. It was so good we went back two days later to get more. This is the best pizza ever. They also have regular pizza that looked really good. Next time we go were going to also get one of those And anybody who has not made it there yet. They opened in January 2008 and remodled the whole place to include hardwood floors. I know what your thinking hardwood floors in Arnold the place looks like it should be in foxchapel. I also took my kids there. This is definitely a family place like it used to be.
