Do yourself a favor a NEVER order an appliance from them. We always purchased extended warranties from them. We used them for years and then started to notice that it was a nightmare every time we needed an appliance serviced under the extended warranty. I vowed to stop using them for purchases but I still have 2 active extended warranties with them so I am stuck dealing with them still. The latest issue is our fridge. Stopped working 5 years in - good thing we have a warranty right? I call to schedule a service call. They say it will be a week because they have to order a part even though they don't send anyone to look at the fridge. What could go wrong? Today, the tech finally comes - I am a week without a fridge right before Christmas with 2 kids in the house. Looks at it for about 2 minutes and says I need to order parts. I said really because I have been a week without a fridge because a part needed to be ordered. He say well I need some other parts. I call the service # freaking out because he is telling me it will be 4 days. They say they can expedite the shipping and I am like I need this fixed tomorrow. They say keep calling and we'll see what we can do. Well I have been calling all day and guess what? No part, no appointment and I guess I will be without a fridge for another 4 days. Words cannot describe how much I hate this company. They were too cheap to send out a tech to diagnose the issue so they guessed what the issue was and turns out they needed other parts as well. Then they have the audacity to tell me parts take time to ship. Really? I had no idea that I have been waiting a week already for parts. I cannot wait until our warrantees with them are finished so we never have to deal with them again. Update - Called today to find out when my repair will be done. They tell me another week. 2 weeks without a fridge - good job guys! Also, 2 different "customer service" reps were supposed to get back to me today with an update. Guess what? No one called. Worst customers service ever - they do not care about you or keeping your business at all. And then they treat you like you're crazy when you get upset. You've been warned. read more

I will NEVER ever again purchase another item from PC Richards and here is why. I purchased a new LG washer, front loader. In addition, I purchased a new water filtration system to be used with the washer. Total over $1100. I forgot to order the pedestal for the new washer. I called back to have it put on to my order. I was placed on hold for over 10 minutes and no one came back on the line. I went ahead and ordered the pedestal online. Delivery set for today June 27th. I never received a call (as I was told) this morning to give a block of when the washer was to be delivered. I checked online and it stated arrival between 11:45am and 2:45pm. Well at 3pm I called and got a lame excuse from the store that they will call you when they are 30 minutes out. What? Then he stated the delivery was moved back to 12:30 through 3:30pm? Really when was I going to be told? No phone call, no email, no change on the delivery website. They finally showed at 4:39pm. Now the pedestal arrived via UPS 2 hours before. They brought the washer into position. We advised the delivery personnel of the pedestal and his response was "that's not my job". We also disconnected the hook up from the old machine. He originally refused to hook up the new machine. Once again he said that is NOT MY JOB. He finally decided to connect the hoses and when he did they were connected incorrectly, spewing water all over the place. I had to disconnect and correctly connect. So I call into the store to speak to the manager. He was polite but what I received was tantamount to a smack in the face. For the absolute terrible Customer Service and delivery he refunded $75. This is why I will NEVER purchase from PC Richards again. And I am going to weight my options and quite possibly return the washer and everything I purchased back. read more

6/29/2017 - Let me update this review. Nothing has changed. So I was promised a $75 compensation for all the BS I put up with with this failed unprofessional delivery. I am yet to receive the $75 back onto my account as I was promised on Tuesday???? PC Richards did NOT take responsibility but rather blamed the contractor they utilize for THEIR deliveries. I once again reiterate the unprofessional and rude behavior of the team that delivered the washer. Then I receive a call from what I assume is their corporate customer service. The conversation was rather (actually I don't have a word for it). I was asked what could we do to make this better. When I mentioned compensation, the response was "we don't usually make monetary compensation". Really? So how were you going to resolve this issue? Redeliver the washer????? PC Richards you failed all the way around and I will be going into the store tomorrow to arrange a pick up of all the items I purchased, totaling over $1300. Your attempt to resolve this issue to my satisfaction failed as much as the failed unprofessional delivery that took place here Tuesday. I will make it known to family, neighbors, acquaintances and work colleagues the treatment we received from PC Richards and Sons to include Facebook, Twitter and every other form of social media. I was shopping for a car stereo for my sons car. Unfortuntley, as a woman, I am used to being treated poorly whenever I am trying to purchase something that is usually not considered a "womans thng". I went to, and walked out of, 5 stores prior to PC Richards for this exact reason. As a last attempt I walked into PC Richard and was put in touch with John. John was amazing. He took the time to listen to what I needed and he made some great suggestions. I truly felt like I was in great hands. The car is an 85 so John and I had some concerns about size and fit. Not a problem, Mark, who does the installation, emerged from the back and was just as kind and courteous to me as John was. Justin was the manager that day and he came over and helped as well. When Mark did the install he did an awesome job. I left that day feeling that I had made a great purchase. A few weeks later we were in the market to purchase a big screen TV. My husband wanted to go to Costco but I told him nope we will go see John. And you know what? John was just as fabulous to work with for the TV. This time the manager was Jay and he was just as funny and nice. From here forward anytime I need something that PC Richards carries I will always go there first and of course I will do business with John! read more

I created an account just to post this review. First off let me say these guys have made me a a customer for life. Had a very specific washer and drier model I needed due to size constraints and vent limitations, and had an order placed at a certain orange square-logo hardware store. I had a time constraint, and the original order from let's call it Shmome Shmeepo got delayed due to a broken truck. They pushed back the order by 3 days and wouldn't budge. This particular washer and dryer seemed to have no availability anywhere else, not without waiting at least a month. Enter P.C. Richard. I called them up on a whim (the store has been there for a few years but I had never been there before) and amazingly enough they had both units in stock. Not only that, but Syed and Corey managed to get it delivered to me less than 2 days after ordering. Those two went to bat for me and saved me from a LOT of stress. On top of that the pricing was the exact same as what it was for the original order. The units were delivered to me bright and early this morning as promised, literally less than 36 hours from my initial call to the store. We originally contacted P.C. Richards to see and touch a refrigerator we were interested in purchasing. We first spoke to Phil who was very knowledgable, professional, and impressed us enough to drive from Hyde Park, NY to Danbury, CT. The day that we arrived Phil was off, however, we met Bill, who was equally knowledgable and professional. Bill took time to listen to our needs and direct us to quality appliances and great prices! Did I mention that we are redoing our entire kitchen....right down to the studs. By the time we left we had purchased our refrigerator, stove, microwave drawer, hood, and dishwasher!!!! We were thrilled.....and relieved! Prior to receiving our appliances we also received an additional discount. Bill kept in contact (he was genuinely interested in keeping us informed as to the status of our order). The day of delivery was equally as smooth. There was contact the day before and the day of. The delivery men were also professional and fastidious. In today's climate of large box stores it is unique and a pleasure to find a retailer such as P.C. I have had great shopping experiences in the past but haven't been motivated to take the time to post on yelp. My experience at the Danbury store changed my lack of enthusiasm to share my experiences. I was readily greeted even before I came in the store by AJ, the store manager. He was extremely welcoming, asked how I was doing and proceeded to walk me in. I think he could tell it was my first time because I was a bit hesitant about where to go to find what I needed. He took the time to show me around like I was a special guest. I cannot tell you how many times I have been overlooked or had to do a dance just to get some help at other stores. I didn't feel rushed or pressured, if anything, he took the time and effort to answer what seemed like a million questions. Having done my research on what I needed, I felt like he definitely confirmed what I already knew and helped to clarify what I didn't quite understand. Yes, this store has top of the line products, clean environment, and a great variety of options, but hands down, their employees are a true representation of what it means to put your customers first. What a great experience from a store that I had never set foot in before. My dryer died a couple of weeks ago and I had been shopping around at Sears, Home Depot and Lowes for a replacement and not particularly psyched about the "deals" available on any of them. But a newspaper flyer with PC Richard's front and center offering employee discount prices for the next 10 days prompted an Internet search on their site - and I was in the store in an hour. Having been in sales all my life, I appreciated being greeted immediately and was treated respectfully with all my questions answered professionally and thoroughly. My sales associate, Jeremiah, was pleasant and responsive. He was so good, he also sold me a mattress which had been on my wish list. With the PC Richard's card offer for 12 month financing at 0% interest and the sale prices, I couldn't not go for it. I would highly recommend this store for a positive shopping experience. We'll see how install goes, however I would have no qualms about contacting them if I am not completely satisfied and expect that their customer service would see to it that I would be. read more

Not only have I been a customer, (last year surprised my husband with a 65" TV - at an outstanding price), but in my business (realtor) I often give recommendations of trusted vendors - from lenders, to insurance, to handymen, and very often appliances. I have had the opportunity to recommend many clients to PC Richards, and to Toni personally, and every one of my clients have given me rave reviews. The attention to detail, product knowledge and advice is exemplary - but the personal care for each customer I have sent is what really impresses me. Toni treats everyone like family, and assures the best service and the best deal. She will not "oversell", but instead I've had my clients tell me she helps them with selections that are right for them... not always the highest priced products. She really knows her stuff. There doesn't generally seem to be a great difference in the price of appliances and electronics anymore. What makes the decision of who and where to buy from, I think, is more and more based on the experience of dealing with the people that work there. My experience with the staff at the PC Richards store in Danbury is consistently excellent. Given the chance, they offer a welcome reminder of the benefits of dealing with a thoughtful, knowledgeable person, rather than someone skilled at making the sale, and then someone else skilled and comfortable reciting company policies. PC. Richards advertises themselves as a family business, and the staff at the Danbury store expresses and reflects this attitude every time I walk through their doors. If anyone from P.C Richards management visits the Danbury store to see how the experience of their other stores could be improved, I hope they remember to bring bonus checks along for Jason, Brittany, Gaby, and Eddie. Great experience! We have shopped PC Richard on several occasions and have always been satisfied. Our 15 year old refrigerator broke last week and we went to PCR first. We didn't buy on the spot but Eddie was pleasant, attentive, but not pushy. We then compared prices for our target fridge at HD, Lowes, Best Buy, and Costco. (No one even asked if we had questions or if we wanted help at HD or Lowes despite our opening and closing numerous fridge doors.) Prices were almost the same everywhere but PCR took the $1.50 off their stated price to match the lowest price and waived their delivery fee without question. Eddie and AJ were the best. Delivery was flawless. The new fridge arrived on schedule with advance confirmation call and emails. The truck arrived in the middle of the 3 hour window. We are thrilled we went back, and encourage all to include PCR when shopping. read more

Cannot say enough positive things about P.C. Richard & Son and specifically, sales counselors, Jeremiah and Chris. My husband and I went in to shop for a new mattress and Jeremiah was extremely knowledgeable and patient and helped us purchase the perfect mattress for us. I should mention that I am 8 months pregnant and he was very accommodating and offered us snacks/drinks. He helped us get the best deal possible on our dream mattress and he and Chris arranged next day Saturday delivery on a Friday night at 7pm. We received our mattress with free delivery and removal the next day and are happily sleeping on the most comfortable mattress we have ever had. I would highly recommend this company and specifically, Jeremiah and Chris. My husband and I went into store to comparison shop refrigerators and was greeted by a very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and motivated salesperson-Bill Bowers. He was very considerate to our need for just shopping and looking around privately and when we asked him a few questions he actually listened to why we were there and knew we were price shopping and still was very willing to lend support and advice. Through many laughs and of course price adjustments, we actually made the purchase of an awesome fridge that same day-and only because of a guy who took the time to really listen and want to help us out, so thanks Bill-very much appreciated. Seeing their ads all the time, I figured I would give P.C. Richard & Son a shot this past weekend when looking for a washer dryer. I can happily say I am glad I did. These guys really know their stuff. My salesperson was excellent. He was well informed, not overly pushy and really made me feel at ease with my purchase. I mentioned that I wanted to shop around and they offered to shop for me in the store online to prove to me that I truly was getting the best deal. I bought that day. Just the genuine interest to earn my business was absolutely refreshing in this day in age of lackadaisical sales people. Just made my first purchases from PC Richard- this week- a 50" flat screen LG smart tv and a stand. The staff, especially Bryan, could not have been any more helpful or courteous. Unlike the feeling of being pressured that I get from a store like Best Buy, These folks may work on commission but seem to really want you to be satisfied what your are buying and become return customer. No big sales pressure to buy extended warranties, or stuff I didn't want. My tv arrived the exact hour they scheduled me for, and there follow up calls from the store and the headquarters to make sure everything went well and I was satisfied. Extremely pleased with this store and the customer service and prices they offer. Will definitely go to PC Richard first in the future! read more

we have never shopped here before. My wife and I went in to price major appliances without the intent of buying that day. We had been to two other well known stores the day before. Billy greeted us and gave us time to look around then came over to help. He asked us a few questions then showed us what we were looking for. He was extremely knowledgeable about each item and answered all questions. Once we picked out all the appliances he walked us through the pricing then the warranties. I had to run home to get my credit card and he sat with my family and continued to answer questions and keep them company. Billy was great and we ended up buying a complete kitchen package. Reluctantly went to PCR to look at mattresses which they recently started selling several months ago. Salesman, Arman, was nothing short of excellent. He was quick, courteous and very knowledgeable about all the products without being the least bit pushy. We are extremely happy with our new King mattress. Decided to go back to PCR when washing machine broke. I literally did not have to leave my house to purchase one. Arman was once again successful in giving me a matching price to a large competiitors sale price and delivery with 48 hours. I will not go anywhere else when purchasing household items. We have purchased most of our electronics from them with no complaints. Recently we had to invest in new washer/dryer and we headed to pc due to our already established relationship with them. We were helped right away and listened to as far as needs and budget. We were promised a next day delivery which unfortunately did not pan out. When I called the store to express my frustration with this Ajay was quick to ease my frustration and remedy the situation. I felt well cared for as a customer and the issue was resolved without further burden.
