So I bought 2 Aircondioners in June of 2025, from Tony my salesman, and he got me to open a charge interest free for 6 months as long as I pay it off in time. 2 months I've paid more then my minimum amount and I budgeted til January, now im getting charged a statement fee, that was NOT in the agreement and nobody at P.C.RICHARDS is willing to help me. They pretty much told me that its NOT their problem, I've have 2 statements with NO fee now this months statement has a statement fee. That was NOT in the agreement, I was suppose to have NO fees as long as I paid in full for 6 months. I have budgeted for 6 months and on my 3rd statement I have a statement fee. I was never told I would get a fee for having a statement and P.C. RICHARDS didn't want to help me. For a Family owned business they really don't care about their customers. I in the past bought a washer and dryer from them and knowing how important to me is to buy local and family owned, my next purchase of a Refrigerator and dishwasher or anything else will not be purchased there because they are not honest people and they do not care. So please go elsewhere if you want a company with real customer service. I just don't want anyone else to get lied to like I did. Thank you if you read this. One would think that they are trying to have the worst customer service imaginable. It has been over two months since filing a complaint and my A/C still doesn't work properly. First they out soursed my complaint to a company that hung up on me when I asked them the name of their company, then a company called Garvee, who didn't know why they had called me. They then promised on two occasions that I would be hearing from their service manager, then they called me on our "Sabbath" after I asked them not to do so. I will preface this by saying in the past we have had an excellent experience working with Tony our sales guy. He has helped us purchase many large appliances and TVs. he would get five stars. we had purchased two televisions at the same time. One large television for our living room and a smaller television for our daughter and within six months the smaller television completely died. When I called and talked to Tony, he said it would not be a problem. Just bring it in and they will issue a new TV since it was under warranty. Unfortunately, Tony was not there when I brought the TV back. The manager informed us we were given the wrong information by Tony and we were supposed to Leave the TV where it was and call to schedule a time for a service person to come out and assess it. Mind you this was after a 40 minute drive to pick up the TV and another 40 minute drive back to Enfield. Because we brought the TV and we were going to have to wait for a truck to come in four days to bring the TV to wherever it gets serviced. We were told it would take approximately two weeks for them to check it out and get back to us. After two weeks we did not hear anything. At three weeks we got notified that the work order was canceled because the manager had put in the wrong information/TV On the work order. We are going on 4 weeks with no TV and no idea what the status is. The manager was not friendly and not helpful. read more

I recently wrote a five star review regarding the customer service from P.C. Richard & Son. I still stand by my review for the customer service. However, let's get into there fabulous warranty. Yes, they have the longest warranties on appliances, but they are lacking in customer service in that portion. If you purchase a warranty through P.C. Richard & Son, please be aware if you need to have something repaired, the repair service only works Monday - Friday between the hours of 8-5. I was also told that depending on which brand you purchase, you MAY be able to get a service repair technician out on a Saturday, but it is highly unlikely. If I would have known the operating hours of the service department, I would have purchased my appliance elsewhere with a five year warranty that have tech. that work on Saturdays or after 5. I would rather not take a day off from work to have a tech come out and tell me they would have to order a part and they need to come back another day. That means I would have to take another day off from work!!!!!! Lesson learned. read more

I have yet to meet a nice salesperson in Enfield. They are rude. I bought a clothes washer and waited a week for it. When it arrived the right side was completely smashed in. I had to wait another week for a replacement. It's been four months with the new one(with a huge scratch) and having issues with it. The service department finally sent someone and he said it's fine but broke again 30 min after he left. Service said someone is coming out tomorrow...but I got a call tonight saying I need to schedule service. What? It's been 2.5 weeks with no washer and we are a family of four! Horrible service. Ordered a new refrigerator in November 2021 on my PCRichards card. Instead of charging me when it was available, I had to start making my payments from when it was ordered back in November. I received a call Sunday (January 23, 2022) to schedule delivery. I scheduled delivery for today (January 27, 2022) from 11am-3pm. I received a call yesterday stating that it would arrive between 10am and 1pm, as well as a follow up email. I arranged to be home, instead of at work today, and took two hours to shovel a path to the back door (which I do not normally shovel from the driveway because we don't typically come in that way). I emptied my old refrigerator into coolers, disconnected it, and moved it out of the way in preparation for my delivery. When the refrigerator did not arrive at 4pm, I contacted the customer service line. They told me that I had no delivery scheduled. I told them I had a confirmation number and confirmation email, which I was told didn't matter because the refrigerator was not in stock in my local warehouse. I asked why they couldn't be bothered to contact me when the schedule changed, because if I wasn't here when they showed up, they would be sure to charge me, and I was repeatedly told that "I am talking to you now". Yes, because I called you at the end of the day wondering where my refrigerator was. I then asked to speak with a supervisor and the operator proceeded to hang up on me. So to recap, PC Richards contacted me to schedule delivery of my refrigerator when they did not have it available. Repeatedly called and sent me confirmation of the delivery leading up to today, then did not bother to deliver, nor contact me to let me know that they would have to reschedule. They now have pushed my delivery until after the big snowstorm this weekend which will necessitate me to shovel even more snow, again, and take another day off from work, again, for them to possibly show up (but no guarantee) with the appliance that I ordered back in November! I have purchased a full set of Kitchen appliances as well as the installation packages. My post, as to the results, will depend on the store and it's associated installation teams, response to my issues and concerns. Stay tuned in. The installers were subcontractors not "their guys" as they refer to them. The installers broke prices of Formica off of both sides of the stove. The dishwasher hose was leaking, the ice maker line was leaking as they used the existing compression clamp, also left me with a gas leak Received a call last month. Promised they would get to the bottom of this. I never heard back. See the video of my independent installer reinstalling their mistakes and leaks. No progress on the damaged cabinets. It was a low pressure experience. We ended up getting a TV, sound-bar and water filtration system for our laundry. We held off on the washer/dryer for reasons unrelated to anything they did. My husband ask them to meet us half way and the wouldn't. They lost the sale over 25 dollars. We went to Best Buy, they matched the price and saved us 50 additional dollars over P.C. Richards. I'll start this review by letting you know that if I could give negative stars, I would. Landlord purchased stackable washer/dryer from PC. Washer broke the first time we used it. Tech was sent out August 3. Confirmed it needed to be serviced. Awesome. Thanks for stopping by. Heard nothing from PC for 10 days. Called them to find out they searched for a part, but that part was irrelevant because it turns out this unit was discontinued. So who was going to communicate this? That was 8/13. The following Tuesday 8/16, I'm contacted by a manager who swears he's "on it". Searches for a washer than can be stacked under the dryer. Can't be done. He contacts service to get approval for the the whole unit to be replaced. I find out on Friday after I chase him down via phone again that the order for the new unit IS IN and it can take up to 5 business days to process (not deliver) the order with the new manufacturer. I call back on 8/25 and he "doesn't have a truck number" in order to estimate when the unit will arrive. On 8/27 he calls my landlord to ask what kind of unit he would like to order... Excuse me, WHAT? I thought that was done? What was the 5 day process? I thought we were just waiting on a truck to deliver it?! The landlord tells him he wants the unit that the manager originally told me was ordered. It's then communicated that this will take an additional two weeks! As you can imagine, I have a large pile of dirty clothes - I work at a hospital and my scrubs need to be laundered often- and at this point and the term "irate" doesn't come near how I feel about how this issue is handled. Fast forward to last Thursday 9/8, I get a phone call that the unit is in! Manager schedules service for Monday but I was at work. My fiancé called and figured Saturday would be better. I had him call back to reschedule for Monday. My fiancé didn't speak directly with the original manager dealing with us since he was with another customer, but another person in the store confirmed they had changed the service appointment back to Monday. Not the case. It was set for Saturday, So 7.5 weeks later I receive the unit on 9/17. On 9/12 I was promised a gift card for my inconvenience. It's now 10/13 and there's no gift card in sight and now my dryer is broken. The technician determined a motor for air exchange went. He was nice, but hustling out of my property, he ran over one of my driveway lights and gave me another week without a dryer to "wait for parts to come in and to schedule a return service date". I thought I had closed the book on PC for a wonderful month of functioning equipment, but that doesn't seem to be the case. One star. Update: A mix up in parts ordered by the technician resulted in a delay of working appliances again. BUT, I have to single out the technician, David. David was thorough, efficient, kind, knowledgeable and went above and beyond how PC Richards conducts their business in their day-to-day. When there was a part that had failed to be sent to him, he made sure it was overnighted directly to my doorstep, provided me his cell phone number to confirm service and went out of his way to be at my home before he had to complete the rest of his scheduled calls for the day. I still refuse to ever speak fondly of this company, but if you do use PC Richards, I hope you have the good fortune to have David helping you out. Thanks David! read more

Went in just to see and compare gas grills, was approached for service but I declined politely and was left freely to look around. They had a sale on Weber Grills, so the long and short of it was I bought one of their stainless steel pieces. Joey, the sales rep was kind, courteous and very knowledgeable. The paperwork process was a breeze and I can expect a call this week to pick up the unit. I have purchased from PC Richards in the past from another location but the commitment to a high level of service and competitive pricing is and was the same. We came here because we were in need of a printer, just something simple... It took awhile of just standing there and attempting to wave people down before we were able to get service. Hmmm... maybe they weren't in the mood to help? Well, my husband was finally able to flag someone down and informed him that he was interested in the display model that they had on the floor. It was a really good deal. The salesman simply stated that he could not sell it due to them not having the starter ink kit for it. My husband questioned why it was marked with a price if that was the case, and showed his displeasure in the false advertisement. Well, the guy left and spoke to his manager about it and gave us an upgraded version of the printer with a discount. Awesome! I was stoked about the deal. We do plan on doing some kitchen renovations next year, so I was checking out the fridges and I was immediately greeted and the salesman showed me their new chef model. Very strange, why are you so eager to help now? It probably would have been a two star for me, but the discount that we received will bump my rating to a three star. Will I come again? Maybe. Okay, so the Samsung 50" I bought had weird blue spots on the screen when it was dark. I called PC Richards and they were so helpful and scheduled the repair guy, Dave, to come out immediately. He looked at it and said I needed a new screen. It was ordered and he came back to replace it promptly. He called first thing in the morning both days and gave me a two hour window, which is totally stuck to. Great guy. Had I purchased a defective product from Costco, I would have had to take it back myself. The salesman may not have worked for me, but their customer service is topnotch. I have been waiting all day for a call to give me a time frame for delivery. I have callled the store and no one can give me an answer. They just are air heads they are clueless. Is there no manager. I have had a terrible experience here. 1. Last June 2015 I purchased a complete line of Viking appliances for my new kitchen in Narragansett RI. I had also contracted to rent my home for the summer, July 1st 2015 thru August 30, 2015. My appliance arrived and the refrigerator failed within days, it took them 1 month to straighten it out. My summer tenants demanded compensation for no refrigerator, I ended up giving back $500 to 2 of the renters, PC Richards did nothing for me, I asked for some kind of compensation, they said yes, but never did anything. My sales associate was a guy named "Russ", who in hindsight was a buffoon. 2. I was informed Monday August 8th 2016 that flames were shooting high off the Viking gas range. I sent a maintenance guy over there to check it out. The stove they sent was never hooked up for propane. I am unable to use the house so I have not been there since before the appliances were delivered. The maintenance guy informed me that range is natural gas only and fitted with the propane hook up. Keep in mind that I have owned the house since 2005 and there is no "natural gas" I have had propane for 10 years there, I know I told the sales person "Russ". At my house in CT, I have a propane fitted range, this was not a oversight on my part. I called them on Tuesday August 9th and Tim told me that the manager would call me back that day, I have not heard from the manager as of yet. I spent $8000-$9000 on the appliances and they are treating me like garbage. read more

I have purchased TV's, and air conditioners for years from this store. I recently purchased Sony Plasma TV in which it has gone dead 3 times, yes 3 times in 11 months a TV that keeps going dead . I purchased a 5 year warranty. Just had PC Richards at my home in May and now it is dead again. When I called to speak with the manager I told him it is not the cable as this has been checked each time and the TV is 1 year old and has been out more than it works. I am told they need to come and check it out and then discuss what the problem is. Now, like usual I have to wait days or a week for someone to come out. I asked the manager to replace it since it obviously a defected TV and he sarcastically informed me well when you buy a new car and it does not work they don't replace it. "YES they DO! especially if your new car does not work 4 times in 11 months. Do not waste your time or money doing business with this store. Do business with someone else. Once again a retail appliance dealer does the expected yet sleezy as feared. I have not been into any place like PC Richards in years and was reminded why. I went in to look at buying 4 tvs. 2 43" and 2 55" for a second home. was approached by Arthur at Enfield store. I asked about the 2 different sizes i wanted and he quoted me a price. It was the going price as best buy and other online retailers had and they had stock. Before i committed and said i wanted them I asked him very clearly what their return policy is, he said why is that important like i was asking some weird question. I said still in the box and not opened and he said 30 days. Now keep in mind this is before i made any commitment of before any purchase in any way. So I trusted him(i know my bad). I took the 2 43" with me and had to order the 2 55" to pick up in a few days. I go to pick up the 55" 3 days later and I am then helped by Justin, well same as Arthur just 30 years younger or there abouts. I am parked in front of the store to load my 55" tvs and he says you have to come in , we have a new policy that anything over 40" has to be opened and inspected by you before it leaves the store. I said wait Arthur said the return policy is 30 days as long as it is not opened and you are going to open it so that nullifies that and I am not opening it you are, plus i am not plugging it in or anything to confirm it works, seems really odd. I said to Justin who is trying hard to be professional but he is only sarcastic isn't the return policy 30 days as long as not open. He says SIR look at your receipt which by the way I did not have initially as I had not bought anything until after the sale. Yup it says flat panels not returnable but keep in mind Arthur said 30 days un opened prior to purchase(a lie). Justin could care less and he shows is an up and coming low moral sales person for a low level shady company like PC Richards. I said credit my card and I left. Who in 2021 stands in a retail operation and looks at an item and says yup i am good without using it , plugging it in or anything like that. Its been 20 years since i have been in a place like that and this is exactly why, my bad, never would step inside this place again. period. This is their way to do business and it won't get a dime from me ever again, ever. I am sure they will do this kind of stuff to others, social media needs to let people know it will not be accepted as a fair and proper way to do business. Ultimately I need to ask to see a copy of a receipt before buying which really is scary to think and lets face it most people are not going to do that. lesson learned for me. I had a great experience at the Enfield store. we had just purchased a new house and needed a lot of things, washer and dryer, television, new grill and accessories. After doing my homework and knowing the prices of everything I was looking at; the two gentlemen at the Enfield store price matched. They gave me a killer deal on a 10 year warranty which is unheard of in the industry. They also made sure I had all the components that I needed so I could install certain things myself that I had planned on. My salesman's name was Lee A and his manager was Bryan G. Lee knew exactly what he was talking about very smart when it came to what that store sells and great customer service skills. Bryan was called over when the deal is being finalized to oversee everything and make sure that I was completely satisfied. So far my experience has been outstanding I'm hoping that when I take delivery on everything it will be just as great! I see that some people complain about waiting at the store to get a sales associate, but that should be a sign of a great place to buy from. They're busy because they sell great stuff at a great price. If you walk into a store and there's no customers inside wouldn't you question it? Same thing at a restaurant if you walked in and the place is empty you would assume the food was terrible or something right? Trust me when I tell you you will not be disappointed! read more

UPDATE: On 11/14 PC Richards sent out A Plus Installation in Bloomfield to access the damage. I received a call later that afternoon from PC Richards that my claim was denied. I was shocked and extremely upset. Because of the improper installation of my ice maker which caused water damage to the interior kitchen cabinet and water damage to a section of my hard wood floor outside the cabinet (plus black mold) they are indicating to me that this is "normal wear and tear." I installed the hard word floor a little over 10 years ago and this is the ONLY place it is coming up and has mold on it. My interior cabinet is buckling and has black mold. Weeks ago, when the PC Richards repair man came out to repair the installation he removed my shelf liner where there was a lot of water under it. He didn't even want me to touch it since it was so disgusting. PC Richards indicated that they would like to settle with me and offered me $100. Can you believe it!!. I told them that I want the interior of my cabinet fixed and the few floor boards replaced where they are buckling. PC Richards indicated that they will get back to me. I have not heard from them or A Plus Installation since Monday. Is this PC Richards operating protocol to not take responsibility for their mistakes and treat people unfairly! As for A Plus Installation he felt the floor and saw the buckling outside the cabinet in comparison to other areas of the floor. I was shocked he didn't acknowledge truthfully that there was water damage to this section of the floor, damage to my interior cabinet and black mold. Water obviously damaged my cabinet and got under the floor and cause the floor to buckle and turn black. I'm so upset that I trusted this company and thought they would stand behind their improper installation. I will continue to pursue the proper resolution of this matter!!!!!! NEVER OF THESE PROBLEMS EXISTED PRIOR TO THE IMPROPER INSTALLATION OF MY ICE MAKER. read more

I worked with Megan at the store when purchasing appliances for a new home last summer. I purchased a refrigerator, washer, and dryer. She helped me zero in on exactly what I needed, and the sale prices were incredible! She was patient with me and asked lots of questions to make sure I got what fit my needs. Megan found a Frigidaire stainless steel refrigerator that was a perfect match to the other Frigidaire stainless appliances already installed at the house. We live out in the country with a short (but inconvenient) drive to the nearest grocery store, so she helped me pick out the right amount of space. It has worked to be a perfect fit! She also helped me find an LG washer/dryer pair that works great and looks super snazzy. Megan went through all of the options in our budget and ultimately directed me to the right high efficiency washer - a Godsend for us, living on well water and septic. She was honest and patient about my options, and I didn't feel pressured or hassled in the least. I had to make a return trip to the store to amend the order, and Megan was there and prepared for the time we set up for my return. She had me in and out in a flash. Her and the team were fantastic about getting the delivery set up quickly. Delivery and install went off beautifully, and I'm still loving the appliances a year later with no issues! Everything is working great, and Megan was very thorough about going through the warranties with me as well. I feel confident that if I ever had any problems, I'd be able to address them. Megan was such a pleasure to work with, and she's very knowledgeable! I'd recommend her to anyone. read more
