PART 2: BAD STAFF! DO NOT COME HERE! Continuation of Part 1 on GoogIe Reviews Employee's description: She is dark-skinned, was wearing a grey beanie/wrap on her head during the time. She was present on July 30 at 7 PM at the Mattress Firm on 4th ave and 86 St. (Points 1-5 on GoogIe Reviews) 6. She lies a lot, first claiming the pillow we were looking for is no longer there (even though it was there just a couple days ago), then she switches up and says it's there, but on another bed, then we felt the pillows that she claimed are all the same and are the ones we are looking for, and it turned out each one of them was different (different heights, different material inside, different cooling system, different cases, basically everything) from each other and also different from what we saw and wanted a few days prior. But apparently she has "10 years of experience in this store". In those so-called "10 years", was she ever trained or checked? Because as we can all see, this is not the first complaint against her. She also lies about what the other employee told her over the phone and in-store. He said we can take it home the same day, and she says we can't and talks appallingly. 7. Then she blames all her lies on us and says that we're the ones who can't understand, and proceeds to laugh at us. Rather, we left the store laughing at HER because we know that she's well aware that she's the messed up one on the inside and is taking it out on other people. In reality, she is laughing at herself, as she should. Again, her personal issues at home shouldn't be brought into a workplace, it is unacceptable! 8. When we headed to the door and she saw us leaving, she finally got up! - but to do what?? Not to help, but to do more problems... She came and followed us to the door and yelled at us in a rude tone while we were exiting. Again, we can't emphasize how disgusting her behavior was, and she was trying to cover up and make it look like she's the one kicking us out because she saw us leaving disgusted and she didn't want a bad look on her in that moment so she tried to the turn the tables. Fortunately she failed because people all around know her ways and can see this store has no customers, for a reason. The bad look has always been on her judging by how she was behaving and by the reviews about her online, and it will always be. I don't think any store appreciates a worker who takes their success and earnings away. Not a nice title for the store to have her as a worker. Do not hire workers like her who project their life issues, insecurities, and anger problems on customers, especially customers who are already interested and just about to buy. I found my products in a different store, with wonderful employees who were willing to do the job they signed up for, unlike her. Now we see why the store has no customers and is always empty! read more

He was detailed in describing the various inventory the store had and helped me find a mattress suitable for my needs. HORRIBLE customer service today. The saleswoman was extremely fresh and disrespectful. She was speaking to us like children after we declined her immediate push when we walked in. She was shopping online when my husband was asking her questions, which was rude. At the end she was telling this old lady not to talk to us when she was warning us not to buy anything there (lol wonder why) I felt so bad for that woman. She was clearly distressed and was upset with her purchase or return or whatever was happening and this saleswoman was so incredibly nasty to her. We left and will never go back. Went to another location and was a complete world of difference. Go anywhere else but here if you want to be treated like an actual customer, especially when looking to purchase of the most expensive beds in the whole place. read more

Excellent experience from the minute we walked into the store until we got our mattress delivered! Jerome greeted us right when we walked in and spent a lot of time with us helping to figure out what type of mattress we needed. He was so knowledgeable and helpful that we felt really secure in making our selection. It is kind of frightening to buy a big ticket item like a mattress that you plan on using every day for many years. You don't want to make a mistake or feel like you made a dumb decision. It never felt like Jerome was trying to "upsell" us or just make a sale. He walked us through all the options and patiently answered all of our many questions. It was great and we're so happy with our purchase! The delivery service is also wonderful. The delivery team (Billy & Raoul) were so kind, efficient and helpful! It was totally worth the extra cost to have them haul everything up the stairs, set it up and get rid of the old mattress. I was in search of a reasonably priced futon mattress and used the online chat to talk with Eddie who hooked me up at a reduced price and reduced delivery fee. We finalized the details on the phone and he was both personable and helpful. The mattress was delivered the next day, right at 6:00pm. The delivery guys quickly setup the mattress (which is quite comfy) and took the old one away. My experience here wasn't all that great which is why I am so confused as to why the reviews are so high. I wandered in here the other day with my friend who was looking for a new mattress, he wasn't ready to commit and just wanted to check out the prices and the comfort level. The sales lady there was nice and was able to figure out that we just wanted to look around on our own she gave us our space. The guy who was working with her was quite rude and extremely pushy, I guess in sales you might have to be sometimes but you gotta know when to quit. My friend liked one of the mattress and wanted to get a quote for it, he provided us with the quote and then spent 10 min practically insulting us for not wanting to buy it on the spot, when we explained to him that we weren't ready. The price quoted wasn't cheap so we definitely needed time to think about it and After I've had about enough of the salesman's and was pretty annoyed and pissed at this point I just told him thank you for your time and left.. a few days later my friend went back by himself and the guy claimed he never gave him that quote for that price... Mattress firm sucks balls. 1. Took 5 calls and 3 months for them to give our refund (that was under warranty) because they kept sending it to the wrong address and didn't tell us they can email it to us until the 5th time 2. Spent over an hour trying to order a mattress in the store because the system is so slow 3. Received the wrong pillows and was overcharged by a $100 bucks 4. Didn't get a confirmation call about our mattress, so they rescheduled it for the next day 5.Received the wrong mattress 6. Finally received the correct mattress, delivery guy was rude as hell. They get 1 star for great customer service with Mario. read more

I had to purchase a mattress and boxspring for my daughter who was going to be living off campus for her final year at school. We walked into this location near closing time on August 1st. Djenane helped us out -- as if we had walked in at the beginning of her work day - and was terrific to work with -- she immediately understood our needs for buying and worked with us to find the right product at a reasonable price - she set up delivery for a time when my daughter would be at her new place in a location 2 hours away of Brooklyn. I came here looking to price out some mattresses and left here with a mattress (3 to be exact) order in place. Thanks to Jeff who was extremely patient, knowledgeable and did I say patient, I saved a ton of money. He answered every question I had ( and I had a lot) and waited while I calculated what I would save to a competitor's price. Jeff also waited while I took my time testing out every mattress I had in mind. Not only did he explain the price differences with each mattress, he explained payment options thoroughly as well. I didn't feel any pressure to buy right then & there. The store is not huge (so it's not a mattress overload) but they have a great selection to choose from. I traveled a great distance to get here and thanks to Jeff's great cust serv it was definitely worth it. This Sleepy's location is by far one of the best! Just went into to store and met with K.C. - we were looking for a replacement mattress as the one we bought 1 1/2 years ago was defective - Sleepy's approved the warranty replacement with no trouble.
