Sesame Chicken Lunch Combo
Aileen B.

Went for lunch - we both got the Lunch Combo Special for $13.99 I got the Pork egg roll with Sesame chicken Hubby got Hot and Sour soup with Kung Pao chicken. Both were fine... not bad - not great... I'm glad we got the meal with the lunch price because I wouldn't pay more for it. The server was fine also . An unremarkable experience.

Picked up what I believe (from online sources) is their best appetizer - Chicken lettuce wraps. It's ok but the dipping sauce helps. It's what you would expect from Asian-inspired American cuisine. Came for my birthday reward (free app/dessert if you download and sign up through the app), which is a nice almost $15 value depending on what app/dessert you yet. Ordered via app and the front staff were friendly and quick in retrieving my order on a Wednesday afternoon. Plenty of accessible parking.

Recently checked out Happy Hour on Sunday and had a nice meal. I started off with the Pink Lotus Cosmo. My bartender was able to make mine with well whiskey and it was really good. I started off with an order of northern style pork spare ribs. It had a really nice dry rub and the meat was tender. I also enjoyed an order of pan seared pork dumplings and an order of pan seared shrimp dumplings. Both dishes came with a spicy chili sauce and green onions. The dumplings were meaty and cooked perfectly. I dined late Sunday evening at the bar, the ambiance was very chill and relaxing. My server was attentive, checked on me often and made some delicious drinks! The restaurant has a very nice aesthetic and I'm looking forward to visiting again soon!!

We chose this place on our way out of town completely as a curiosity since where we're at in PA, the nearest P.F.'s is a good hour and a half away. Seen one, but definitely never had been to one. Doing this in reverse, the overall vibe and theme to me for coming here is basically take the Chinese takeout that you can get in Anytown USA, make it sit down instead of take-out or delivery only, double the price and tweak the food to elevate it a little bit. Whether or not there's any ROI to that, is a big Caveat Emptor. Service: Less than ideal. Only two people working the floor (one is also training someone) and they're taking orders, running food and bussing their own tables. It was a decent lunch crowd and after we were seated it was a solid 15+ minutes until the drink order was taken. Food: Sweet and Sour Chicken - Honey Chicken - Banana Spring Rolls The two chicken dishes were basically the same thing just with a different sauce. I will say that the quality of the chicken was good for both but each came out a little heavy on the onions and peppers mixed in. The spring roll dessert was a freebie thrown in by the server for the excessive upfront wait and honestly, he should have kept it. Of the desserts you could order here that one sounds the worst. The spring roll wrappers on the bananas were soft-limp-soggy. No bueno. I appreciate the gesture, but asking would have been better. Not everyone is down with banana as/in their dessert. Slow as heck service along with mid-overpriced food. Believe me, the curiosity itch to come back to a P.F. Change's has been more than scratched.

Nice pleasant dinner. Service by Treasure was awesome. Very attentive. I enjoyed my Pad Thai without tofu! Nice they can make it to order. Sangria was very tasty as well with the fresh strawberries. For a chain I can say we do enjoy going here.

The General Tso chicken was a letdown across the board. No heat, barely any sauce, and the lightly steam broccoli came out cold and wet, which made my crispy chicken a soggy lukewarm mess. That's a fundamental execution issue. A friend ordered the ramen and had it worse -- crunchy noodles and a cold soup base. Cold ramen broth isn't a style choice, it's a mistake. Front of house compounded the experience. Slow, visibly uncertain, and in clear need of training. You can tell the staff wants to do well but hasn't been given the tools to get there. That's a management problem. The bones of a decent restaurant are here. Right now the food and service aren't meeting the standard the presentation promises that a mid price Asian pacific restaurant needs to hit.

It's beautifully decorated, warm, and inviting without being over the top. We started with the Thai tea, and it's an absolute must. It's that perfect balance of strong black tea, sweetness, and creaminess--easily one of our favorite drinks and they nailed it here. For food, the beef pho was exactly what you want--rich, hearty, and super comforting. It came with a generous side of fresh condiments so you can customize each bite. We also tried the vermicelli with shrimp and pork, which was just as impressive. It was loaded with fresh veggies like cucumber, carrots, lettuce, and bean sprouts, plus crunchy peanuts and an incredibly flavorful fish sauce that tied everything together. Service was pretty fast even on a busy night, which we really appreciated. They also offer to-go cups for drinks--a small but thoughtful touch. Overall, everything felt fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to.

Lived the peanut sauce that came with them as well. The sauce had actual peanut pieces in it as well. The Chicken Noodle Pho came in two containers - one was the broth and the other one had rice noodles, shredded chicken breast, thinly sliced green onion, and fried red onion. Served with fresh bean sprouts, jalapeño, basil, & lime. The broth was very flavorful and the serving size was generous! Highly recommend.

Although you can hear every single conversation around you, it isn't a bother. Suggestion, play some cool Asian fusion music to enhance the experience. Our servers left something to be desired. The initial interaction with the lady serving bread only knew 3 words...bread, one or two. I wanted to communicate with her, but wearing an outdoor winter vest and her disconnected behavior canceled that attempt. Tyler was our server who we barely saw. I had to ask his name, and thats a pet peeve to start. He never cleared our bread and butter dishes ...also annoying to have dirty dishes in front of me...especially after I pushed them to the edge ... a clear indication to take it away. Now the food. My corn chicken chowder was served hot and creamy. Loved it. The spinach, mushroom and mozarella stuffed bacon wrapped chicken breast perched atop over cooked bok choy... laced atop bacon rice and surrounded by a 5spice seasoning was beautiful BUT overwhelming. The price was cool at $26 , however I doubt ANYONE can eat this serving. It would be better a smaller portion and lesser price. It was seriously enuf food for more than 2 people unless your just a gluten. I wish I had room for dessert because they all look like a work of art! Kudos but also let's be more reasonable. I may give it another try but probably for lunch. I dont eat that much!

Our server was friendly and asked if our food was alright when we were served. We didn't see her much after that. It seemed she was the only waitperson in the room and we were at the end of her list. I wanted another roll and had to flag down a bus person to ask for it. It arrived after I finished the meal, so I took it home with the leftovers. The food was beautifully presented and tasty. My steak was a little more than medium but still OK. The salads were huge and a shared portion was more than adequate. We split the mango cheesecake for desert. It was beautifully presented and dense, smooth and tasty. All in all, although not perfect, it was a good experience at a fair price.

I have been lucky enough to eat at some amazing restaurants in North America and throughout Europe…read more I really wanted to leave a great review for this local restaurant... I really wanted to. Since a number of our friends have been to this establishment and left great reviews, I really wanted to do the same. I really wanted to. However, I'm struggling to do so. It started with our table not being ready yet, no worries there, we understand. The host took us to a lovely little alcove and sat the four of us down and we were quickly approached by the Sommelier. This establishment obviously takes their wine very seriously, almost to the point of being pretentious. But not all of us are wine drinkers. Due to an allergy to sulfites. When we looked at the list of available mixed drinks, nothing really appealed... So my wife asked for a simple vodka and tonic. She was informed that that was not one of the "APPROVED" drinks that they offered. What !?! They have vodka, they have tonic... Why can't we get what we want? When my friend requested an IPA he was informed that IPAs don't pair well with the food offerings, consequently, they do not have that option. Frankly, shouldn't that be HIS decision what he feels pairs with HIS palette and not the restaurants? Just a bit pretentious. Did I mention I really wanted to write a great review? So we sucked it up and ordered two glasses of overpriced white wine ($18 for a glass of mediocre wine) and two of the "approved" drinks offered. At this point, I'd like to state that the service we received other than the initial pretension exhibited by the wine Sommelier, was amazing. Our waiter was attentive and well trained and the support staff made sure that our water glasses were filled. Thankfully, I can leave a great review with regards to them. Now to the food... the dumpling sampler was delicious. The four of us ordered the ribs, the duck, the beef and I ordered the Dan Dan noodles. Honestly, almost all of the dishes were deliciously prepared, albeit a bit modest on the quantity of food presented. Our waiter initially suggested that these could be shared... I'm not sure how we would do that with the smaller plates offered as entrées. My noodles, however, came out as a solid chunk of over microwaved noodles, the kind that you get if you forget to take your Costco ramen out of the microwave in time. It was a solid block of dried out noodles. I was about to call our waiter over and ask that they give it another shot. When out of the corner of my eye I saw my wife giving me "the look", don't make it a thing her eyes said to me. So I took my chopsticks and pried the noodles apart, and tried to mix them with the sauce as best as I could. So to summarize; *A little too pretentious on the whole drink thing. I think they're trying too hard. *Service was great *Three out of four entrees were a success * $17 for a mixed drink is pricey but doable, $18 for mediocre wine not so much. As I mentioned, I really wanted to leave a good review... sadly other than the waiter and the support staff I find it difficult to do. Thank you
