I remember when this restaurant first opened. We ordered a family dinner tonight, literally through the entire thing out. No flavor, the chicken was only partially cooked. The egg rolls were wet not crisp. I wouldn't let my dogs I would like eat that food. They need to close ! read more

Place used to be good. New owners are a joke. Went in for lunch, waitress had 3 tables of two people besides me, two of which came after my order, a simple combo. Both tables got their food before me, and when she finally brought my order, it was completely wrong and her thumb was in the food on the plate. Never got the soup which should have come out first. I've been here often in the last five years because it was my favorite Chinese restaurant with the best food in town. My last visit, which was earlier in 2025 was less than stellar and I found out that the restaurant was bought out by someone else who changed all of the staff and all of the menu the cooks and the way they prepare the food so not returning to this one. My friends and I went at the end of November, it was delicious. I went this time with my cousins I told them about Wah Fu and how the food was so delicious. We only had wonton soup and an eggroll. Two bowls of wonton soup came out to the table. One was red hot, and the other one was barely warm, which led us to believe they were microwaved. The eggrolls were also very strange and almost tasted like they had been microwaved . Very unusual flavors, almost like the soup and egg rolls had been taken out of the freezer and reheat it in a microwave...... I can honestly say that was the worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life. That being said, we have had a very enjoyable ride home, talking about it. Also, they don't serve alcohol. read more

Today I ordered delivery via Door Dash .. sweet/sour shrimp and white rice .. what arrived was totally inedible .. the shrimp had so much batter on them that when fried most of the inside was raw .. the shrimp smelled/tasted anything but fresh so it all got thrown out .. so my lunch today was sweet/sour sauce over white rice .. too busy to go out and pick up anything else (which is why I ordered Door Dash) I was left very disappointed and angry about this experience .. 20 dollars in the trash read more

Excellent orange chicken. Big pieces with thin breading!! I got the combination plate which came with pork fried rice and an egg roll. Their egg rolls are so yummy! While they were super friendly and very fast. Cute little spot. I think I'm biased with Chinese food having grown up in California with real Chinese places in San Francisco. I've yet to find a great Chinese spot in Ohio. The won ton soup has an ok flavor but the same weird thick wraps as all other Chinese places around here. Not my thing. The pu pu platter was ok also. If I was going to get anything off of that again it would be the shrimp toast and the ribs. The rest would be a miss. I'm not a fan of egg rolls so I didn't try them. The shrimp was mostly greasy breading and I didn't try the chicken fingers, my friends daughter did. She seemed to like them. The beef was ok not something I would get again. The mu shu pork was pretty good. Lots of veg, not a lot of meat tho. The plum sauce is good as well. The hot tea was really good. I think it might've been oolong tea since that's what they had for sale up front. If I'm in the area I would probably pop in to grab some ribs but that would be all. every Sunday I come here to eat in or take out food for me and the 91 year old I am a nurse for. She is a VERY picky eater and we love our Chinese Sunday dinners! we regularly split the general chows chicken or sweet and sour chicken with the egg roll between the two of us and STILL have leftovers between us! (we are both 120-130lbs haha! (shes in great shape and with it!) the food never takes more than 10min even if you order it to go at the door and when we eat in if she is ever cold they have turned up the heat just for us! They are AMAZING here and I highly recommend making it a regular spot. the place is almost ALWAYS empty and it SHOULDN'T be! the servers are fast and always checking in and on top of everything i have never had a wrong order or bad experience! unfortunately the photos I have are from me enjoying the leftovers 2 days later still tasting amazing! read more

People were very nice Brought hot tea and water to the table right away I ordered Wonton Soup, which came with shrimp chips. The soup was good and the shrimp chips were nice and crunchy!! Purchased take out food for 3 people. The different kinds of fried rice was horrible. Rice was dry and pork was over cooked and hard to chew. In the ongoing search for decent chinese american food in the southwest suburbs of Cleveland, I decided to give this plaza storefront restaurant a try for take out. The pros were that it was easy to order, the staff were friendly and efficient, it was acceptably clean and well organized, and some of the dishes were average to good, while others were not so much. Specifically, the Hot and Sour soup was pretty good, although it needed some doctoring to bring it up to authenticity, not sour or hot enough for my taste, but good. The Moo Shu Pork was interesting as it had a little heat to it (not sure if that was intentional) and consistency was wrappable; so good. The Sesame Chicken were bready chicken strips with a sweet brown sauce sprinked with sesame seeds (not toasted) that were okay. Small or of pork fried rice was bland and had maybe two pieces of pork in it. So, that left the Combination appetizer that comprised of one egg roll, two chinese ribs, and two shrimp toast. This was awful. The egg roll was cold and bland, the ribs were old, cold, and could have been made 2-3 days ago, and the shrimp toast was fried bread that was dripping in oil and were inedible. So, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Might try it again but wil stay away from the appetizers. read more

We used go to Wah Fu a lot back in the day. It was our go to place for Chinese. But over the years we found better and closer restaurants to our home. So we were in the neighborhood we decided to give them another try. The wonton soup look awesome, it had lots of noodles, pork and vegetables. Unfortunately it was very plain tasting, not much flavor. The potstickers were very doughy and burnt with very little meat inside. The eggroll was a little over cooked but not too bad. The main course was egg foo young; after one bite I was disappointed. The patties and gravy was very bland and watery. The pork fried rice wasn't much better. I think this was the first time I actually threw away my meal after one bite. I WILL NOT GO BACK AGAIN. read more

Food has gone way downhill...heard the old man sold or retired. Have been coming here for years and the last time we were in Cleveland we ordered takeout. The girl at the register went over everything was in the order while paid. The place looked the same inside, some different faces working though. Anyway got home and unpacked the order and it was all there except for the crispy noodles for the chicken subgum which are absolutely necessary for proper Wah Fu subgum. As our party of 5 (which included my in-laws who have been dining here for 30yrs) started to eat we all agreed the taste was off and the quality was way down. Overall, I don't think this restaurant should have more than a 3 star rating like some other rating sites give it. Yelp's rating seems more accurate. The cabbage roll was soggy, the General Tsao's chicken tasted like they spilled the MSG into it... way too salty. Service was fine. Restaurant was fairly clean.
