Not very tasty food taste like sink water and prepackaged or something, not a good experience here

Poor food even the egg rolls were not good,employees got an attitude will never go back

I have been ordering from here for about two years! I love the food so much! My favorite kind of food is chinese! This place has it down pat! The owner ( women) is very sweet, she knows my order and get it right every time! I order the chicken curry ( spicy) with no carrot and chicken fried rice! I think it is some of the best food around! I'm not joking! It is so tasty and fun to eat, it makes me very happy! When i order on the phone they are so sweet and patient. Nothing wrong there at all! When i pick the food up, it is a small counter area, well organized and it smells very good inside. Also, it is pretty clean and they have a mini fridge with soda and drinks inside you can buy. It doesn't take long for your food to be ready at all, depending on how much you order. If it is a large order it takes like 20 min if it is small 10min. I would give China King and 5/5 because I love it so much! GO HERE IF YOU WANT GREAT FOOD! read more

I don't get the negative reviews, this place was super good! Food was pretty decent and exactly what you'd expect (the image attached does not do the food justice). Food is so so depending on what you order, My biggest complaint is the service for takeout. Woman on phone when I ordered was terrible, short and discourteous. I asked about the sizes, she never mentioned the combo platter even when I asked if it came with an egg roll. Then when we picked up the order she argued with us. We have had terrible phone service with them in the past messing up our order and giving the wrong order to us, then trying to make us at fault when they clearly messed up. We thought we'd give them another chance. This was the last time we order there. Will not order again, terrible service. read more

I ordered shrimp with vegetables combo, sweet and sour pork combo and a pint a chicken lo mien. Food was great as always and ready when promised. My only complaint, and it may have been my fault, but it was lunch time and I expected a lunch combo with a soda not an egg roll and we got the dinner portion. Ordered General Tso's chicken with fried rice. Very little chicken lots of breading, plus what little chicken there was hard either over cooked or days old. Fried rice was very plain. Diced onions and rice and that's it. Very disappointed with the meal. read more

Some coworkers asked if I wanted to go out for lunch today for a business meeting. I can never turn down a free meal. They love the China King. I thought it was good enough. It is what I would expect out of a small Chinese food place in Independence, OH. A lot of the normal offerings with some other cuisines thrown in the mix. I opted for the Spicy Basil Chicken and it was not too bad. I am back in the cubicle sipping on some water because I could feel my body going into salt shock a little bit. I need to balance that out. I loved the lady that worked here and she was a pleasure to deal with. The prices are fair and the portions large. I recommend driving the extra 3 minutes down the road from Rockside to try a small family owned business. Down with corporations! China King! I don't get the bad reviews - first order here and was unimpressed with other places and decided despite spotty reviews to try and I am glad I did. Fresh veggies in the veggie fried rice, an egg roll with pork and not just cabbage, tasty teriyaki skewers and crab Rangoon. Loved it all and will order again read more

Lower than average quality Chinese take-out. Sauces were thick and gelatinous; flavor was lacking, and we ended up not eating most of it. Order included potstickers (decent bc wrapper not too thick), pad Thai (worst I have had; overcooked noodles swimming in sauce, but oddly no taste); orange chicken (ok and they used actual orange peels); tofu/eggplant--sauce was like wall paper paste with same consistency- almost a gel; tofu had a banana-like flavor. Oh Lordy. I wanted to like China King. My hopes were for nothing more than mediocre Chinese take-out that was close to my school so I could bring it back for a study session. Someone I used to call my friend recommended China King (hence the fact that they are no longer my friend). Upon walking in I knew I was in trouble as the manager was (at the risk of being considered a racist) a white guy. I'm sorry but I don't trust people of my skin complexion to make Chinese food. And it appears that my experience at China King was a confirmation of that belief. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and kindly asked the manager to pack me some chopsticks and a bowl that I could eat it in as I was going to be indulging at my school. Naturally those items were both left out, meaning that I would be destined to eat it with my fingers or toes. When I got back to the school and opened my food (and discovered their failure to provide me with basic eating utensils), I found that my food pretty much appeared to be deep fried chicken balls similar to those you'd buy in bulk from Sam's Club and a side of sweet and sour sauce. No veggies or pineapple, or anything else that would make it resemble an entree. To top it off, the chicken balls were dripping with grease. In fact, they were so greasy that it looked like they were in an oil sauce. After taking 2 bites I knew I had made a mistake and tossed it all in the trash. The only reason I felt it necessary to award China King a 2-star rating was the fact that their prices were very low. This was our first time ordering delivery, we ordered before 9pm. We did not receive 1 order of rice and 1 order of sweet and sour sauce for one of our sweet and sour chickens. We called immediately and no answer for the rest of the night. What we ordered was good. But, are very sad. Their menu says they close at 10pm also. read more

I'm a big fan of China King. It's surprisingly difficult to find a good go-to Chinese takeout I've discovered. My last few places of residence were really lacking, but China King is great. They are clean, fast, consistent, cheap, and their website is superb. $1.75 to order online and have it delivered?! Awesome. Of course you can't go to a place like this and expect gourmet or super authentic cuisine, but I've never been disappointed with my food. I am a big fan of the seafood soup, and I was just recently pleased to try the spicy basil shrimp. You have to remember to pick up your own sauces and utensils when you get your food because they don't put them in the bag for you. I don't mind though bc then I don't have to throw away packets that I didn't want in the first place. I will say that the soy sauce they give in the packets is pretty flavorless. read more

Have tried this several times. We are creatures of habit and order SS chicken. Although they are fast in cooking the food the problem is they always over cook the chicken to the point that the fried breading is hard to cut with a knife. Their restaurant is clean and you can see everything in the kitchen - even as they cook! We always get the shrimp with broccoli, shrimp rolls, shrimp chips (like fluffy potato chips!), and the 10-piece order of their crab rangoon! (One time they "threw in" a free order of these rangoons and we've been a fan ever since! Not terrific with the beverages, (cans) but carry out orders get a free two-liter pop, and you can reserve a table and order online at their website, including ordering and paying for deliveries for a very reasonable surcharge. It's regular, retail Chinese food for suburbanites. You will not be overwhelmed by awesomeness but we have never been disappointed with the quality of the food or the service. read more

We stayed at the Comfort Inn down the road and chose this place based on proximity. They were super helpful on the phone - even recommended a more economical way to order (suggested a diet plate, as they come with sauce on the side). They were accommodating, too - I needed just a dish with broccoli and baby corn, as the kiddos like that best. They knew how to get to our hotel, delivered right to the door of our room, and the food was hot. I didn't know that bad Chinese food was even possible, but this place's food was absolutely terrible. The chicken teriyaki sticks were super slimy and just had a very "off" texture. The boneless ribs were comprised primarily of blobules of fat, not meat. I literally threw my order in the garbage after about 10 bites. The egg roll was ok. read more
