Drove an hour to eat at P.F. Chang's and unfortunately was very disappointed in our server Naitza. To start she should know what vegetables are at no cost to the guest to add onto a $ 24.79 Mongolian dish. I knew the celery was one of them but forgot other ones. Upon receiving my dish she informed me that that was the only vegetable free and I had just remembered the cauliflower was also free the last time I was there a week ago. In my mind it automatically made we think she was lying. Then it just seems like she was bothers by us. She dropped the check in quick passing without asking if we need a box for the remaining food. No interaction or even removing the plates off our table. Especially when she dropped the check off, or when she came to check the credit card for payment or returning the check for a signature. Also we noticed her offering another table to box their food up for them but when we asked for a box she just dropped it off in a hurry. Look I have worked for years as a server and know it gets busy but guest can sense when you are treating them with kindness and actual dedication and pride in your job. Maybe you are having a bad day but it's not your guests fault so don't take it out on them. When I go out and drop $100.00 on dinner I expect some sort of professionalism from the person trying to do their job. I never leave a tip less than 20% because I fell bad and have been there. But you are lucky my son even tipped you $10.00 because others would have left you nothing given the way you have made us fell. On the positive side, Bravo to the manager Juan Bautista! During dinner service a new bus boy dropped some glasses and he was there immediately apologizing to the surroundings guest and cleaning up the whole entire half of the dining room to prevent any accidents. That is an amazing hands on Manager and it is great to see. Also to the kitchen staff l, thank you for the tasty food. Always so consistent and delicious. One bad apple, the primary point of contact with the guest, unfortunately ruined the whole experience of enjoyment and positive memory. read more

I have eaten at PF Chang's a few times but this was my first visit to this location. The food, although a bit pricey for what it is, was good. I highly recommend the chicken lettuce wraps, brussels sprouts, egg drop soup, and crab wontons. BUT- the real reason this is a 5-star review was the service. Allie, our waitress, was outstanding. We even stopped to talk to a manager to let her know how great Allie was. Before retirement, my DH was a restaurant manager and said he would have tried to poach her to work for him. I love to eat at a PF Chang's when I have an opportunity since there's not a location near my home. We both ordered their lettuce chicken wraps and definitely not what it used to be. I'm guessing a recipe change, but not for the better in my opinion. Service was high pressured guessing she is trying to turn tables fast. Place was dirty. There were crumbs on my seat and you can tell it was wiped because the seats had wet stains, but food crumbs everywhere. I could tell where a child sat (or someone who ate like a child). There were sticky stops on the wiped down table. After waiting for help, I just cleaned it myself with sanitizer wipes I had. The chicken wraps were dry. Crab wontons were well done just a bit too fishy taste for me and the sauce on the side would have been better. Waiter was not good at clearing our table or checking in. My main course was inedible and made my stomach burn, but I was worried to complain seeing how annoyed the staff seemed to be about cleaning in general. The Salmon was delicious. Not only was it a Friday but it was pay day (hooray)...so I asked my wife if she wanted a little finer place to eat (she obviously said yes) so we decided on PF Changs. First, the place is quite large, there's a small bar when you enter. There is quite an extensive menu of appetizers which include appetizers, sushi, and the traditional large entrees. I wanted to try something different than just traditional sweet and sour chicken so I ordered the honey chicken and my wife ordered the salt and pepper prawns. We also ordered crab wontons and a hot and sour soup to whet the appetite. The wontons came out first...nice and light, perfectly crispy and the filling was quite tasty. They also brought my hot and sour soup...but no wonton strips. I asked for them and they said they don't carry wonton strips. Excuse me?! I had to ask again...how do you not carry wonton strips in a Chinese cuisine restaurant. How? The soup alone was amazing...the sourness was perfect balanced with a little bit of heat, but it needs wonton strips! On to the entrees...my wife LOVED her prawns. They were quite large but plump and juicy; they didn't taste frozen. The chili sauce that accompanied them were a great complement. My honey chicken was par for the course... nothing stood out honestly. The chicken was tender and juicy however maybe just a little more crispiness to them...a little more salt maybe? More sweetness and tanginess? Something was missing.... The rice as well was bland...I know it's steamed but it felt like a side that was not going to be eaten...and we took it home and we didn't. The service is great... servers are attentive. However the place feels slightly cramped... especially if you're sitting in the tables in the middle of the room. So it's hit and miss...hit on the crab wontons and hot and sour soup...but miss on the no wonton strips! It's not everyday that my husband and I get to sit down and eat at restaurants. Even more so with covid fast spreading. But today, we wanted to breakout of the house and experience something new. We came with an open mind as genuine chinese food is hard to obtain anywhere near Brownsville. To our surprise we encountered this tiny bit of heaven and it's a franchise. The service was great! This Chang's is a looooot smaller than most I've been to in my history of Chang-ing it. However that didn't affect the quality of food or customer service. They only have one warm saki available on menu; lame. I've had better colder saki in japan for half the price; just saying. Arturo waited on us. A+. The potstickers we got weren't traditional but he brought out the better ones for no charge. Got calamari to starts the kale and bell peppers were awesome. Chang's Spicy chicken was awesome. There's no P. F. Chang's in my area, so it had been maybe a year since my last visit. I was craving the lettuce wraps and sesame chicken. I don't know what it was but the lettuce wraps weren't as tasty and the sesame chicken was very different and it was sweet which it never was before. I always check the bag when picking up because generally restaurants don't have competent people working there, the ticket stapled to the bag said Garlic Chicken, I questioned why and the counter person said it's the same thing, and it wasn't. All I could taste was pan cooked overly toasted garlic, it overwhelmed any other flavors that might have been there. And the shrimp dumplings, HAH!, should be labeled SALT dumplings, could only eat two and threw the remainder away. Also ordered their extra sauce pack, they never put it in the bag (that's why they don't charge for sauce, you don't get any). We had a family lunch at PF Changs today. The place was busy. They had tables available but we want to the booth so we waited just a few minutes for a booth. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating. We enjoy the elegant ambience created by the lantern style lighting and Chinese terra cotta soldier statues. There is also a beautiful mural on one wall. Johnny H was our server and did a great job attending us. He took our drink order and lunch order at the same time since we all knew what we wanted. My son ordered the Mongolian Beef, and requested that the beef not be over cooked (the reason I stopped ordering it; it usually comes fried crispy and hard, almost like jerky). The server noticed when it came from the kitchen that it had been overcooked, so had it redone. It arrived shortly after the rest of our entrees but was done as requested. The meat was still tender. I may try it again if I can have it done like that. I ordered the Miso Glazed Salmon off the lunch menu. While the flavor was great, the portion of salmon was very small, about the size of one chicken tender, served on bok choy and mushrooms. It came with white or brown rice, or fried rice for an extra dollar. I added an egg roll for another $2. I am not a huge eater, but felt like the portion was diet sized. Petit. If you're hungry, order the dinner size. Everyone else enjoyed their entrees. We have one member of our family who is vegetarian, and this is one of the few places we all have options we enjoy. My wife ordered her favorite: the Walnut Shrimp with Melon. It is surprisingly delicious with the hot shrimp, crunchy walnuts and cool balls of honeydew melon! The girls shared a Chocolate Dome dessert. I've tasted it before; very good! Something like a cross between pudding, mouse and a chocolate truffle.
