We stopped at this P.F. Chang's on our way to Chicago. My wife and I were very disappointed. The music was very loud making for a very unpleasant eating environment. But the most unpleasant aspect was the terrible smell of rancid cooking oil that overwhelmed our senses in the restaurant. This made the meal experience very, very unpleasant. The food was over-priced and seemed to be over-marketed. Had such a wonderful experience on 4/12/17. Went to P.F. Chang's since we had a buy one entree get one free coupon. My boyfriend and I decided to have a date night. Rather than order an appetizer, we decided to order 3 entrees. The Surf & Turf was to die for. The Korean Chicken Stir Fry had an amazing sauce and just the right amount of spice. And the Mongolian Beef is always our go-to. But what made the experience so incredible was our server, Michael. He was very attentive, but not too attentive. Very nice, but not a fake kind of nice. I just ate here the other day for the first time and came away impressed. The Beef and Brocolli was among the best I've ever had and the spring rolls were the best I've had. A bit pricey, but not too bad if you go for lunch. We got take out from here while staying overnight in Omaha. To sum it up, this is TERRIBLE Chinese! Bland and tasteless. My husband ordered Kung Pao Chicken and I had Coconut Curry Vegetables. Wow, it's been a while since I've been to a P.F. Chang's but this one out did themselves. They helped make my in-laws 60th wedding anniversary dinner special. We had lots of food and lots of drinks. Variety of entrees ordered and no complaints from anyone. The spring rolls, edemane, lettuce wraps all good. The Sea Bass was cooked perfectly - best I've had in a very long time. I ordered food for pick up and it was ready right on time when I got there. I had a free birthday coupon that the gentleman took off my order really quickly and he was so polite and wished me happy birthday. He included lots of fortune cookies (score) and even took the care to separate the hot food from the cold and offered me a complimentary drink! Took my family to PF Chang's last night and was truly impressed with the food as well as the service. We will definitely be coming back.

I have only ever been here one other time, and I was to young to remember it. My husband suggested we go there before a concert in Omaha, and I'm glad we did. We got there about 5:15ish on a Saturday. They got us seated right away and I'm glad we got there when we did, because it filled up quickly. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. We ordered the Crab Wontons as an appetizer and I wasn't overly impressed. They did come out looking very appealing and they were good, the crab taste was just a little strong for my liking. My husband and I both ordered the Lo Mein combo. I was pleasantly surprised when the waited said you get beef, chicken, and shrimp instead of having to pick two. You also can order it with just one meat. It was a good price and came out hot and delicious! We also got rice with it at no extra charge. It did take a little longer then you expect for Chinese food, so the manager came over apologized and took care of our appetizer for us. I was impressed with that, and appreciated it. We really didn't wait that long, but I very much appreciated it none the less. I have honestly been avoiding it for awhile because I always thought it was pricier. It cost us under $30 for the both of us to eat here. That is with the appetizer taken care of though, and both of us getting waters. The place itself is classy and has a very nice vibe about it. So, I was really disappointed in this place. My husband and I were seated in a nearly empty restaurant. It took our waitress 20 minutes to even stop by the table to give us water. Another ten for her to take our order. We finally got our food about 45 minutes after our arrival. It was okay. Then, the waitress came to clear our table after our meal. I had a beer that I wasn't finished with; it was about half full, so there was visible beer left in it. She took my beer away! At this point I was so frustrated with the slow service and sub-par food, we just paid our check and left. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this location ever again. read more

We use to love this restaurant. But stopped today -- ordered 2 egg rolls. Mine was EXTREMELY greasy, couldnt eat it. Showed the waiter and he agreed it was really greasy! Then ordered the kung pow chicken . Too 2 bites and my nose started to run, my eyes watered. It was so spicy -- way over spiced and couldn't eat that. The waiter apologized and said the kitchen was making him look bad! I then ordered the sesame chicken. I tried to eat some, but my throat and stomach hurt too much from my first order. Okay, first Mr. Chang. Seating for 200 is not a bistro. I tried a sampling of the appetizers. Being a somewhat upscale place I was expecting them to have some twists on general chinese fare. They didn't really. Eggrolls were pretty basic, I've had better. I tried crab rangoon, sometimes places jazz it up a little with chives or something. Nope. Their twist is putting a little lump of crab meat instead of crab with cream cheese. It was kind of bland. The sauce they sent with it was good though. The thing that ruined it for me was they ruined my favorite thing. Egg Drop Soup. It was kind of like chicken noodle soup without the noodles, there was one big lump of egg in the soup, that was so thick and gluey I thought at first it was a dumpling. Egg drop soup should have whisps off egg through it. This was just bad. Maybe the entrees are better, I wouldn't go back to find out though. read more

I had heard so many rave reviews about PF Chang's that I finally decided to go with my husband for a nice dinner out! We went in for an early dinner around 4) and the place was still slightly busy. However we did not get drinks right away. After we were seated by the hostess it took awhile for the waitress to come to our table with menus even. The thing that made me want to leave was the prices. It was good but not that good. It was no where near the quality for the prices they charge and the portions they give you. We had a 2 for $50 meal special and walked away disappointed and wondering what all the hype is about. The resturaunt itself is clean and nice. Staff is nice but service was slow. Food was good but expensive ! Overall disappointing! Especially sine we were looking forward to it so much !! I guess we will stick to other Chinese resturaunts! Good for food allergies- they have a gluten free menu and a special soy sauce and plates for gluten free items. This is good because it means the wait staff know to be careful with that food. The gluten free items were the same prices as on the other menu, which is also nice. I thought the service and ambiance were good. I did think it was a little pricey for chinese food, but thought the quality of the ingredients was really pretty good. The chicken was not dry or over cooked or rubbery, which can happen. If your kids are not adventurous in their food choices, as mine are not, then I would probably just avoid this restaurant. Picky kids are not easy to please at restaurants that have different foods- even if they can get foods that they like at those restaurants. PFC's is truly the pinnacle of American butchering insult to Chinese cuisine. Everything is over-salted with boat-loads of grease and soy sauce mixed into a starchy mess. The Kung Pao chicken looks like it's soy-mummified Mickey-D's chicken nuggets re-fried in pork lard or something. The one good thing about chain restaurants is that they are consistent. And PFC does a consistently good job with Asian food. Don't miss the chicken lettuce wraps as an appetizer... any entrée is great, but I'm partial to the beef with broccoli and brown rice. It is hit or miss with this place. I've had a server argue with me that their pot stickers are supposed to come out burnt, when I've ordered them before and they've never come out burnt. I've also fed my son the honey chicken off the kids menu and my sons breath smelt like wine. I decided to smell his sauce and it was extremely strong of wine. I even tasted it and it tasted like wine. So, I'm assuming it wasn't cooked out all the way, and they gave it to my 4 year old son. Asked the waiter if there was wine in making it and he checked with the chef and he said that there was but they checked the sauce (which they never grabbed my sons sauce off the table to check it) and said it was fine. My husband and I used to go here every year for my birthday, and we really enjoy it. We've been going now for 6 yrs, and it has stayed consistently delicious. What PF Changs serves is flavorful. I read some other reviews about small portion sizes; the portions are the right amount for the price and for the average consumer.... We always take home leftovers. Some people like to be pretentious in claiming they know about "real" good food that is "authentic", I say who cares about authentic if the food tastes really great. There was another dish with chicken and potatoes ( don't remember the same :( ) which was good and so was the hot and sour soup. I did not like the chili garlic noodles. I have to admit i used to be a huge fan of the chain. Anytime i was near one i would frequent it. Recently i think the quality has drastically dropped off. My husband and I used to eat here all the time when we lived in Omaha. We were lured in by the amazing smells in the parking lot, and we kept coming back time after time because of the delicious food and wonderful service! As I have mentioned in reviews I have written on other restaurants, my husband is deathly allergic to mushrooms. We have made our server aware of his situation everyone time we have come here, and every time they have gone above and beyond to provide us with a safe and enjoyable dining experience. They even went so far as to print a special menu out that listed only the foods that did not contain any mushrooms. The lettuce wraps are the way to go for appetizers, and the mushu chicken is absolutely amazing for an entree. The servers mix up several sauces at your table, no matter what you order, and they do a great job explaining each and everyone... they definitely add to the food! If you have room after enjoying all of the delicious appetizers and entrees, the banana spring roll with coconut ice cream are a must! read more

The food wasn't great - in fact the food wasn't even that good. I don't understand why people say this place is so good and it's not. The food also seems a little overpriced especially for the portion size that you receive. We had the lettuce cups and the crab rangoons for appetizers. The crab rangoons were good the lettuce cups' chicken was salty as well as the chicken in my Lo Mein for the entree was also very salty. My cousin ordered the sweet and sour chicken and the portion size was incredibly small for $14. I wasn't impressed. However, our server was cool, nice and accommodating. Although he did forget my water and it took him quite a long time to serve the entrees after our appetizerd were finished, I didn't hold it against him. I don't recommend this place. If you're at the mall go to Joe's Crab Shack next door or across the way to Cheesecake Factory. read more
