Best crab rangoon in Milwaukee!!! Cozy atmosphere inside and always quick with takeout too!!

Asian Fusion has consistently good food, and the General Tso's Chicken is always a standout--crispy, flavorful, and just the right amount of heat. The rest of the menu is solid, too, with a good variety of options. There's a decent amount of seating inside, but it's usually pretty quiet. Most people seem to come in for takeout, with a steady flow of orders coming and going. The staff is friendly and efficient, but it's clear their focus is more on takeout than dine-in service. My only real complaint is that the prices have been going up steadily. It's starting to feel a bit pricey for a spot that used to be a reliable, affordable option. Still worth a visit if you're craving some dependable Asian comfort food. read more

I'm crying. That's how disappointed I am with this local favorite. When I called (October 2021) to order my authentic favorites, I was told they got rid of all their authentic dishes, including the Mala Xiang Guo, Duck, and Golden Ribs. Their menu is still extensive, but filled with American-Chinese fares. They're good cooks, so if you're into them, I'm sure you'll enjoy them. You know, the Happy Family, Triple Delight ,Orange Chicken... Personally, I don't deviate towards those fast food Chinese dishes, and if I ever do get a craving for it (I do sometimes), I have another favorite place for them. At a much more affordable price. Doesn't look like much went you walked past being in a small parking lot with most of the spots belonging to the gas station. P.S. don't park in the gas station's spots. Also be careful backing out. The area inside is clean yet small and unremarkable. The food was all great and done 15 minutes after ordering for pick up. For more than a couple people I recommend take out. read more

Love this place and always take out/order on Uber eats! Their all day deals are great! I usually get the chicken lo mein if I'm not getting the lunch special and always have left overs! Otherwise I get the pepper steak combo with the chicken fried rice. It's on the more expensive side but pretty good Chinese food for around the area. Love how it's open late !!! read more

Ordered Fried shrimp for the first time and they tasted so fresh and they are perfectly fried. Come to think about it, I loved all the appetizers that I have ordered so far from their menu. I could tell that enough care goes into preparing them just as much as their entree items. My favorites have been fried shrimp, potstickers, scallion pancakes, lamb skewers and crab rangoons. Adequate Americanized Chinese food, satisfactory if you're the sort that equates Asian with Chinese. The standard take out Chinese-American dishes like General Tso's are okay, most entrees have no vegetables. A little expensive for a chop suey/crab rangoon joint. Not what I would call, authentic. And so much plastic waste in take-out orders, even though I asked twice to remove the unnecessary condiments and unrecyclable what-not. I do have chopsticks and soy sauce at home. This was my no plans for lunch just pick a place that I don't have bookmarked and go over. The place really doesn't look like much crammed into a corner of a strip mall with a 7/11 convenient store and a few dedicated spots for the restaurant but street parking looks good. WOW looks can be deceiving because the inside was nice with exposed brick walls, faux wood beams on the ceiling with a nice contrast of dark and light colors. I was seated right away and I noticed it's all Asian people eating in here which is a good sign. The menus are nice quality which feel good in your hands with so many good options and the Original noodle soup with beef sounded good on a hot summer day, LOL it just ended up that way. The soup came quick and steaming hot that looked good. The bone beef soup broth was clean and tasty with the plump al dente slippery noodles, no mushy noodles here. It also has thinly sliced beef, baby bok choy, scallions and cilantro and when you put it all together it was very good. I liked the freshness/crunch of the bok choy and the brightness of the cilantro with the beef bone broth in this dish, I thought I ate half of the bowl until I was full and I still had a good portion to take with me, it's too good to leave, see my pictures. For an impromptu lunch this place really hit the spot and I'm surprised I have not seen anyone check in here for me to know about it. DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE TO MSG I don't like to write negative reviews but I feel compelled to warn people because of the after effects of MSG I've been dealing with for 2 days now. I asked for no MSG and the woman who took the order indicated that they could do that. They might not have added additional MSG but there was MSG in the sauce or something. Curry shrimp was mostly onion. Shrimp was cooked perfectly, delectable. Not really a restaurant anymore. Basically carryout with a few tables in front where you can eat out of the plastic carryout dishes. read more

Husband and I got take out tonight from here and we loved everything. Hunan Pork was super good, perfect spice, big portion Broccoli w brown sauce was outstanding, big portion Egg drop soup was tasty and had a nice sesame flavor in the broth, it was also a huge quart of it! Orange chicken was good, big portion Rice was even better than most Chinese restaurants I've been. I loved that they threw in some magnets w our order too, nice touch. The last time I was here was before Covid. I have to say checking them out again I was highly disappointed. I said verbally that I wanted a particular dish then the host/waiter said since I circled someone in the menu that is what I was going to get. When my friend and his wife saw the dish they said it was the wrong one as they have distract restrictions. I went back to the host waiter and he said since I circled something that that is what I was going to get. Highly disappointed in the lack of customer service that was provided. So I had to buy the dish I initially told them about. And oddly all the food was given to us in take out boxes even though we dined in. The only positive was that the dishes that we did get was alright. I would say go here at your own risk. read more

I thought it was very clean and modern inside. Everybody was nice and friendly. I had the sesame chicken w/ broccoli, and a side of white rice. I thought my whole meal was crispy, tender, and delicious. It was very authentic Chinese food. They have lunch specials there for $ 8.95 to Monday-Friday from 11:00am -2:30pm. You can order their food online also. They have all sorts are variety of Chinese dishes you can get. You can also get bubble tea and smoothies there. Was in town on business and hit this place up for some take out.. I got the spicy garlic shredded pork which comes with rice.... It was great.. The texture of the meat was tender and not rubbery or grisly... The food ingredients were quality, ready in 10 minutes, and was steaming hot when I got it... Service was friendly... Needed something quick but also wanted to try something new that was a small business. Big mistake. Ordered the chicken curry combo. Chicken was barely cooked, pale white, stringy/chewy and lacked any kind of flavor. Fried rice also had no flavor. Only thing that gave the order any flavor was the vegetables and I guess if you don't various sauces they offer on the food. I guess if you think salt/pepper is exotic seasoning, you might like this place. Save your money and go somewhere else or don't eat. We tried Asian Fusion tonight and I'm so glad that we did! This was great on a cozy winter night. We got the orange chicken and chicken lo mein. Classics. My boyfriend said the lo mein was some of the best in his life flavor wise. We do wish it had more chicken in it but still, it was great and we would order it again. The orange chicken was packed with orange flavor. It wasn't too sticky, and not too spicy either. We also loved the subtle flavors in the jasmine rice. We will be back! read more

Decent and authentic Chinese food place. We had the lamb soup, sliced lamb, corn with egg yolk, garlic ribs, and some desserts. They all came out relatively quick with really authentic flavors! My favorite is garlic ribs. The pork ribs tasted juicy and tender, with a great flavor of sweet and savory garlic coating. The prices were relatively high I'd say. This is one of my favorite places downtown! I came here once and was pleasantly surprised because I feel like it's been hard to find authentic Chinese food ever since moving here. Their menu is big so you have a lot to choose from. The menu seems a little pricey at first but the portions are huuge, perfect for family style (how you should be eating there anyways!) They also have a cute boba shop at the front. It's pricey ($5) but it's good and have good options to choose from! I had their scallion pancake (I've had better but this might be the best I can get in downtown Milwaukee) Salt and pepper pork chop (you can never go wrong ordering this) Golden garlic ribs (CHUNKS of delicious roasted garlic yuuummm) Szechuan stir fried pork which was really good!! Absolutely horrible. The attitude of the staff was terrible. The food was not good and that is an understatement. I will admit the bok choy outside of been extremely greasy was very fresh whole pieces that was sautéed with some garlic and outside of that this was a terrible ordeal and to top it off we were visiting from out of town and most deafly would not recommend this place. We also had a discount card and they refused to process it, albeit, it was after all of the run around and forgetfulness from the server and the manager or owner watching our every move as we sat there, dining while fat probably, we were late in presenting the coupon after telling them in the beginning that we had one. I'm just happy were gone from there and will never return. I want to be clear, the bok choy is very good, just not sure what type of oil is used but, it is sautéed with fresh garlic and that was the highlight of the meal. read more

some of the best crab rangoons I've ever had -- generously stuffed with cream cheese / crab. dumplings were flat and unlike any others I've ever had. while the insides were good, there was too much thick doughy breading for my liking. went for the original beef noodle soup. the beef was extremely tender, the noodles were generous and good; however, I found the broth to be lacking in flavor & wishing I would have ordered a spicier version. delivery experience was great (came in less than 30min!). would order again, seems like good quality food, I would just order something different, I think. read more

Fantastic food! My boyfriend and I did carry out and were very pleased with the quality and quantity of food we received. We got an order of Korean potstickers, broccoli beef, and general tso's chicken. All were fantastic and reasonably priced. I think this place is pretty legit based on the variety of food options available. I would definitely go back to try something different! My boyfriend has had the crab rangoons in the past which are shaped like a pouch with a twist at the top and prefers the square-shaped kind, but said they were still good. Drove past several other Chinese restaurants that were closer to my house because this one had the best reviews. I honestly can't understand why it has so many 5 star ratings. We ordered egg rolls, Kung Pao chicken, Hunan pork, and chicken fried rice. The entrees were so oily they left a rancid aftertaste. The chicken fried rice was literally just steamed rice, a few peas and corn kernels, and some super plain chicken. While we were dining there last night, we kept asking each other "are we still in Milwaukee?" No offense, but Mke unbelievably lacks diversity food choices - dramatically unfit for the size of the metro. We, in dire desire for something new, decided to give it a try, in spite of the discouraging name of the restaurant - "fusion" which typically indicates inauthenticity. This one turned out to be a really nice surprise. We ordered Yangzhou fried rice and fish fillet boiled with specify pickles. Both were cooked in a very 古早 or traditional for lack of a better word, manner. Every grain of rice was separated in the Yangzhou - something you don't come across often at all, not even in China nowadays. The rest of the ingredients was perfectly diced and proportioned to provide the entire dish well balanced taste and look. If you were a gourmet, you would know that this is not the everyday fried rice. If you knew how to cook fried rice, you would tell that this was cooked with heart and soul. The fish fillet was cooked just the way I knew when I grew up in the region where the dish was invented. What else can I say? I'm hungry for more. And I truly hope they keep up the good work while they excel in popularity. Btw, why "fusion"? Hopefully it doesn't discourage more people untruthfully. read more

Finally!! An Asian restaurant that has good Chinese food! We've tried nearly every Chinese restaurant in town over the last three years living here and almost all of them completely sucked. I think one reason we never considered this place is because the outside just looks so run down - but the inside is great. We had the general tso chicken, orange chicken, and crab rangoons. The general chicken was excellent, the orange chicken was great...but if you like an overly orange chicken- this might not be for you. You could taste orange, but it also had some other great flavors in it, so the orange wasn't extremely powerful. The crab rangoons were a little strangely shaped, but there was so much filling, they were amazing. The sweet and sour sauce that came with the rangoons was gross though - I ended up dipping it in my general sauce. My only complaint, if I had to make one, the chicken was a little soggy. I usually like when they crisp up the outside a bit, and then put the sauce on, but that's just being overly picky. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back! read more

Can't believe it took us this long to find great Chinese Milwaukee! I'm from San Francisco and never thought I would find Chinese food as good as home. Seriously, we've tried everything from downtown to Bayside. The meat is quality and they don't add all the thickeners that make the sauces so gelatinous.
