I thought this place was fabulous! I went here with some friends for my birthday dinner and was glad I did! The place had a chill feel to it. It had a nice cocktail menu and some mocktails! The service was great! They were willing to bring plates and forks for my cake! They even dug up a lighter for us! The duck curry was SOOO good! It was the perfect bday dinner meal!

This place is honestly so good, I cannot believe I haven't been coming here regularly. Everything on this menu is fire pork belly, drunken noodles, curry, egg rolls, dumplings! Such great Thai and Laotian food! It can get quite busy, but they're very efficient. The beers are also very unique!

Once again, great food. The egg rolls were a bit over cooked, but the rest of the meal for us was fantastic. Great service and nice drinks at a fair price for a downtown restaurant. We will be back again

My friends and I did our Galentine get together at Lucky ginger. We reserved online super easy and ahead of time. The decor is fun very artsy and moody. Service was good, food took a little long to come out but we did have 6 people in our party. We loved the Valentine's Day drinks they had for the month, I ordered the drunken noodles and it was good! Definitely want to come back and try pho. Parking wasn't the best but it is the third ward so it's understandable.

Delicious spring rolls, shrimp pho was perfect warms your soul & tastes oh so good! Cute little place in the 3rd ward, parking can be tricky. Very pleasant staff. Nice view of the river too!

We had a large party for dinner on a weekday night and the place was not that full, so it felt like it was only us. The place looks a little old school with video games and the black decor, nothing great. Service was quick and attentive. Food-wise, while the edamame was great (hard to mess that up, ya know), the crispy squid, while crispy, had a different sort of breading to it unlike most Asian places and the oil it was fried in, felt old. I ordered the pad Thai for dinner and it arrived a little reddish-pink in color, unsure where the color came from. It was tasty though and the shrimp I added to it, were juicy and fresh. Portion size was large especially for the price. I also ordered a ginger lychee martini and that was definitely a highlight. Strong and made well. We also tried different types of sake and they were good too.

I don't eat pho often, but after this experience, I'll DEFINITELY be having it more! Yesterday, on a chilly day with temperatures in the single digits, a friend and I stopped by Lucky Ginger for lunch and sat at the bar. We both ordered the tofu pho. It was delicious, but I wanted to provide a PSA for plant-based folks: the broth is beef-based. They brought out sriracha and hoisin sauce to add to the pho, along with all the fixings like sprouts, jalapenos, and basil. The soup was light yet still filling and comforting. The broth was flavorful, but I really enjoyed customizing the pho to my taste with the extra toppings. We visited on a Monday afternoon when it wasn't busy. At our seat by the window both the service and lighting were great. The woman who helped us was quick and even took a moment to chat - so welcoming! Looks like there were more tables in the back for busier days too. Definitely a great spot tucked into the Third Ward!

Lucky Ginger gives Bar Vibes. The establishment sells Thai/Asian Food. I was craving pad Thai and this place was recommended by a couple of individuals local to the area. I ordered the Pad Thai with Chicken. Service was fast and friendly. The flavor was decent and I ate it all.

Veggie pho (I already dug into it) and lychee ginger martini (I already drank it. lol).

Every time I've been here, the food has been absolutely BOMB!! Excellent every time. And everyone here is all high vibes. This is a classy, yet still very comfy place. Thank you so much for being so wonderful!

I went here for lunch and tried the calamari for appetizer and the pad see ew/noodles. Super tasty! They have booth and table seating and has a nice view of the river. Service was good, it was a pretty slow lunch / time. I always ask for no straws, to avoid plastic use

We sat at the bar at Lucky Ginger and had a great experience! The ambiance was solid and they were playing some good tunes while we were there. The pho was very good and hit the spot even on a warm night. The pad Thai was spicy with a great nutty flavor! The service was good, but with only one person behind the bar serving it did take some time to get a second drink. Will be back again!

Came here to try the Pho! It was some of our personal favorite. What makes this Pho so delicious is the broth, it's very rich in flavor, savory with a hint of sweetness. We also tried the Chicken satay (comes with 4 skewers, not 2) which was very nicely seasoned, peanut sauce could use a bit more peanut flavor, but overall quite tasty. We enjoyed the vegetable and special pho, both wonderful, but would like to see a bit more of the accompanying garnishes like bamboo shoots, jalepeno, etc! Waitress was prompt and got us sauces and drinks quickly, overall we will be coming back as the Pho broth is quite to-die for!

I'm visiting from NYC and the pad Thai here was better than any local delivery spot I've tried at home. I did a level 3 of spice, which was the perfect amount. The portions are HUGE and enough to feed 2-3 people sharing. I also started off with the calamari which had really nice seasoning. The atmosphere itself is no frills and very basic, but that's all it truly needed. The staff was also attentive considering how busy it was with phone orders, people picking up and a packed dining room with some also at the bar.

Everything we had was delicious, expertly prepared, and had such cool presentation. We went for an anniversary and it was the perfect restaurant environment and very intimate. The server also included 2 complimentary glasses of champagne, which was such a nice touch. For starters, we had the gorgeous appearing Royal Flower Dumplings served with lettuce, the Spicy Fatty Tuna TatTar on crispy rice, and the pork belly Bao buns. My favorite item from the entire night was tuna TarTar, it was perfectly spicy and tasted so fresh, I highly recommend. I also think that the dumplings had such a wonderful presentation and were an experience, but probably would order a different appetizer next time since I have had them once. For our main dish, the drunken noodles were a must! The thick noodles were delicious and cooked to perfection. We also had Room Service Supreme Hand Rolls set (including spicy toro jalapeño, Saba, Yellowtail scallion, Ama Abi, and Salmon topped ikura) that filled us right up. For drinks, I had to order the One Night in Bangkok signature cocktail with such a fun lemongrass aromatic cloud (so cool and fun!), the berry-cation, and the Thai Godness. All were delicious and would order again! For dessert, we wanted to try something new and picked the Thai Tea Binsu. I am glad we tried it and it was yummy, but will probably go for their cheesecake next time. Overall, we had a 10/10 experience here!

Then came the soup dumplings. Yum! Steaming hot and a project to eat properly, they are worth the efforts. We ordered the Tom Yum and spicy Korean noodles. The spice on the noodles was mild but it does build on your palette the longer that you eat. The beef was perfectly tender. The soup was wonderfully lemon-grassy and full of flavor. The ladies that sat next to us just ordered a table full of dumplings. I think that's my plan for next time. May it be soon.

The highlight of the meal was the peking duck, which they only have about 2 orders of a night. We snagged it immediately when we sat down and it can easily feed 4 people with the sides. The duck was juicy and cut into thick pieces, so it was more of a steak rather than a bao style that I am used to. Nevertheless, it was delicious and even warmed up well the next day. The green onion wraps were...strange in my opinion. They fell apart easily and didn't have the best flavor that complemented the duck. Fucking love this place…read more If there is a highly rated small plates place in a location we are visiting, you can count on us to find it. We walked literally thirty minutes to this place from our hotel. It was a lovely walk in early August. We had a 5:45pm reservation on a Thursday (we are old now) and we were seated immediately. Service was excellent. Ok so they have a fantastic cocktail menu. I appreciate any cocktail menu that is more complex than vodka and cranberry juice but this takes it to another level of creativity. I also like how they name them with numbers. It's so much easier to say "I'll have a 42" rather than "I will have a duperbeamerscicle". I started with an "88" with pisco, rose-poached strawberry, amontillado sherry, verjus, rose port, and pink peppercorn. Served in a highball glass and garnished with berries. Very refreshing. GF started with the "91" mezcal, passion fruit, poblano, pineapple, amaro, lime. Gorgeous and chic. Very strong, smoky flavor. When in Rome, so the cheese plate did not feel like an option. Four fantastic cheeses were served with very tasty candied nuts, some jam business, grapes, and some of the best bread I have had on a cheese plate. Thick, soft, and fluffy. Paired absolutely perfectly with cheese. Only complaint is that I wish there was more of it. I haven't had deviled eggs in a minute so I went wild and also had the chili crisp deviled eggs which were SPECTACULAR. I also got the Egyptian fried cauliflower which is served on a smear of harissa and lemon tahini. Very flavorful. Star of the show tbh was the tagliatelle with squash, tomato, these fried cheese crisps. The noodles were al dente and SO GOOD in such a wonderful sauce. GF also got the steak, she says "very good seasoning". I helped her out with the kimchi pancake. Wonderful. Such a great sauce. For our second round of dranks we both went with the "77" makrut lime vodka, tamarind, bird's eye chili, cilantro, lime, lemongrass. Very tamarind forward. Very unique. I can see why it's our server's favorite drink on the menu. The desserts looked really good (something with sticky rice I think it was a cocktail and a bread budding that looked fantastic) but we just weren't feeling it.
