We tried to love this local pizza place and gave it too many chances. 6 of 7 orders were wrong and had to be remade! Nothing special just a half sheet deluxe, how do you mess that up 6 times!! Today was the last straw. Got our usual.... it was burnt black on 3/4 of the bottom. The owner tried to argue that it wasn't and we had to flip every piece over to show him. Big Money for Small Pizzas. If what I got was a large, I could only imagine that a small would be the size of a DVD. Pierogie Pizza: Just normal pizza crust, layer of mashed potato / onion, and a slight sprinkle of cheese. A very small "Large" pizza for 14 bucks. For what you get (mashed potatoes and bread) I think this one needs to drop a few bucks. Wing Prices are competitive, and very good. I would not hesitate to recommend the wings to a friend any day! read more

We used P Jay's to cater our department holiday lunch -- and it was FANTASTIC! Everyone loved everything -- chicken parm, eggplant parm, pizza and salad, it was all delicious (best eggplant parm I've had in a long time). Not only was the food good, they were great to work with when ordering. And amazing prices to boot! SO MUCH food for a totally reasonable cost. The pizza is OK, and is an alternative to Antonio's Parmatown. However, I can not recommend this place after the interaction with the owner of the business. 3rd time is a charm! He has been rude on the phone with me twice, however I draw the line when he is rude to my wife. He is not giving anything away and matter of fact, we feel we over pay for the small size of the pizzas. We will no longer support this small business and continue using Antonio's, Papa John's and Guy's Pizza where you are welcomed and your business is appreciated. We regularly bought pizza from there bi-weekly which normally costs $49 for the 3 large 3 topping pizzas, translating to $1300/yr, FOR PIZZA! Not anymore! I recommend you take your business elsewhere, where your hard earned money is appreciated. My mom and I had been going there on and off since the mid-90s. Food used to be great, as did the service, but in the past few years... it's terrible. Tonight at 7:45 pm, my mom placed an order for a calzone, they told her it would be about 25 to 30 minutes before it was ready to be picked up. Okay, no big deal. However, she went over to pick it up at 8:21, and what happened?? They hadn't even started making it yet!! They then said it would be another 15-20 minutes. Yeah, no freaking way. Needless to say, we left. We are done giving this place chances. I highly recommend you go to Athens Pizza on West 88th, in Cleveland. Far better service and pizza. read more

3 stars for the service over the phone and the place itself was really clean. However the pizza tasted like nothing. We ended up adding our own seasoning to it in order to make the best of a large pizza we paid for. Wouldn't go back unfortunately, it's right down the road. read more

Cannot understand why there are not more reviews on this place. They have prompt service answering the phone and prompt delivery service. Their employees are personable and reliable. They have specials during lunch time on the sandwiches. I ordered two meatball sandwiches one for my son, one for me and they were delicious with fresh bun. There were plenty of meatballs. I have also had their pizza which is very good and I like it with light sauce and pineapple. It is one of my favorite places to get something to eat. They also have dinners which are also good and prices are reasonable. read more

This place was a good choice when I moved to Parma, then they got my pizza wrong multiple times and the last straw was today when I got a burnt pizza. Returned it and was met with an attitude from management. The guy got mad and said here is your free pizza when it wasn't free because I gave him his burnt pizza and was told if I don't like it go somewhere else. If you don't want to worry if you might have the right pizza or it cooked correctly don't go here. Sad when a small business acts like this to returning customers who kept going to them after so many mistakes. Good luck. read more

The customer service at this place is horrific! The manager I dealt with, I believe his name was Chris, was extremely rude and unprofessional. I made the mistake of reading the 50-food-and-drink-items-you-should-eat-in-2012 write up (along with delicious pictures!) on cleveland.com. One of the items that caught my eye was the potato pierogi pizza from P. Jay's Pizza. The name instantly brought back very fond memories of eating "pizza skins" at Pizzeria Uno which I LOVED but can no longer get locally. Since this pizza shop is right around the corner from my house, I decided to give it a try tonight. Ummmm.....YUM! I liked it a lot. Of course, I was starving so maybe I liked it more than I might have if I were just merely hungry. The pizza is made with butter sauce, mashed potatoes, sauteed onions, butter, and cheddar cheese. I was concerned that this might be way too buttery and greasy but they use just the right amount of butter/sauce to make my taste buds happy without overpowering me with grease. The layer of potatoes was just the right amount and creamy smooth. Onions were soft but not mushy and not overpowering. Just enough cheese topped it all off. It's served with packets of sour cream. The crust was one of those good not-too-thick/not-too-thin local pizza shop crusts. It wasn't the BEST I've ever had but still good. All in all, the pizza was flavorful, filling, and warmed up my belly. The people in the shop were pleasant and on the ball. I noticed quite a few of the employees on duty this evening appeared to be high school age. I like that - kids need jobs and a pizza shop is a great place for them! One note, they do not accept credit cards so have cash handy. I made the mistake of only having cards and had to run to the ATM next door. My fault for not paying attention when ordering. Years ago this place was decent. Recently it has gone to the wayside. I ordered a stromboli and a dozen garlic wings, the cost was just under 18$. The wings were obviously recooked and tasted more like chicken jerky. The stromboli was soggy but edible. I've noticed lately they like to precook their pizza, then recook when ordered, very bad idea. I think at the price point the food should be more then just edible. I love this place my family has been getting pizza from here for almost 20 years. Their crust is my favorite part it's fluffy and chewy almost like a bagel, not like other places where the crust is hard and the worst part of the pizza. This place is old school, the owner Chris's parents came from Italy and that's where the dough and sauce recipes come from. They also have some really unique pizzas like pierogi pizza it is excellent give it a try. Don't let the other reviews on P'Jay's stop you from having the best pizza in town. read more
