During the free consult Alejandro was clearly much more engaged in actually solving my problems. Example: the fence needed to be low enough to see over as I back out of my driveway, for safety reasons. Alejandro held a tape measure at various heights and various points as I backed out. It seemed obvious to him that this was the right thing to do, but no other contractor I met with did this. 3. Construction was done in a single day (7 hours). 4. Sometimes I work with contracting firms where an attentive sales person asks about your project, and then a separate team (plus an annoying game of telephone) comes to actually work on the project. Not with Maldonado! At least for now Alejandro is not only figuring out the design with you but actually building the fence 5. Alejandro made several AI renderings showing the different options, which were quite helpful. I'm surprised more people aren't doing this 6. They worked with me on figuring out how to hide a sump pump pipe and navigating through our neighbor's concerns. The build quality is very nice and the crew was great about making adjustments for issues we discovered during the build. They even made the back of the fence look nice for our neighbor by covering the sump pipe. Communication with Wilson and his onsite crew was great. They also did a very good job cleaning up. After obtaining a few quotes, Gerald P. won me over with not only his assessment, but also the way he explained everything, in addition to his easygoing demeanor. All of the other estimators spent a couple of minutes. Reuben Borg was the slightly more expensive option, but the value was far greater, given the premium wood, wider slats, taller height, deeper post holes, thicker gate, and the use of RizerBella post protection. The crew was also very efficient, showing up exactly at 9am and completing the job by 4:30pm (same day). The fence looks absolutely fantastic. It was such a positive experience that I struggle to find any faults. If I had to be nitpicky, they did leave small advertisements for the company on the fence (though this also proves how much they stand by their work). There was also no reminder communication the day before or day-of the project (not a problem for me, as we had previously discussed the start date).

The estimator knew what he was talking about and was personable to talk with. Not sure of their pricing at this point as I have not seen the estimate since it's the weekend. One thing that stood out to me that I liked was the invite to their mill where they will some of their own lumber to ensure quality which helps with the longevity of the fence and the aesthetic look of the project. Just based on the above I would recommend this business.
