This was my first time going to P nail salon and I will just say that I love it. It was quick, quiet, pretty, and a great experience. Diana ate with my nails and Linda did so well on my mom nails as well. I will be back for my next set. The customer service was ok but the actual work sucks. I went in for a no chip pedicure and left out with a fucked up pedicure. When I sat down the water was already made which I didn't like. It gave me no option to take advantage of the spa pedicure. The guy did a terrible job. My nails were not trim down, shaped or buffed. The polish is very sloppy and he barely scrubbed my feet. I went in for a soak off and manicure because I was short on time and passing by. I was directed to station 12 where the gentleman promptly started drilling the acrylic from my nails without gloves. I politely asked him where his gloves were and he pretended to not understand. After a few times back and forth he finally relented and put on gloves. He then proceeded to handled my hands as roughly as possible. He removed my acrylics well enough and then gave me a manicure with zero product, no cuticle gel, no soap, no lotion, just a scraping and clipping good time. Mmmmm...came back to get a basic manicure and I probably could have saved $12 and just did my nails at home. The manicure was rushed, he didn't do anything special, when he finished the polish job was done terribly and my nails were sloppy when overall a mess. After sitting under the dryer for about 5 min and continuously starring at my nails I went ahead and asked them to redo the manicure. I was sent back to the same guy (Danny) and he took my hand and poured nail polish remover on them with an extreme attitude. He removed the polish and didn't really fix anything but aggressively did some buffing and skin removal. I asked for another color since the original was thick (old) and didn't look great. I was told if I changed colors I had to pay so I just got clear polish and said I'll paint my own nails. I didn't feel like a valued customer at all. The staff could care less and it was more about getting people in and out and receiving payment for poor work. I won't be back. Epic Fail. read more

Let me start by first saying this shop was extremely unprofessional from the moment I walked in. There were women arguing with the owner for him being rude. I received an "just ok" full set which was rushed by my nail tech. When I got home, i went to open my door with no issues that would cause it to break and my whole thumb nail came off. When I called the owner to let him know he was rude, dismissive and told me i had to pay to fix the nail. Clearly a fresh full set should fall apart after one day. Would not ever recommend this shop. The pedicure was $40 with no chip it was no shin and it was smudged It wasn't even dry. I will never do business with this place again ever. So very disappointed. I am going to say 3 1/2 stars because of the value. I was visiting my mom who now lives I. The area and a quick Yelp check of this places yielded a average to above average rating so I figured why not. I was a walk-in, but was taken care of fairly quickly. Side note when I signed in a few people requested Diana (there were no other techs specifically requested), so I'm guessing she's one of the best here. I opted for a pedicure ($22) with no special thrills. Massage chairs with iPads though I'm not sure why one might use the iPads. LOL I had a gentleman named Lee. He was a bit brisk, but still polite. My pedicure include the usual trim, cuticle treatment, file, scrub, pumice stone & massage. Not sure if they do paraffin or callus treatment here as it wasn't offered or listed on price list. All and all an slightly above average pedicure/experience at a good price. Anymore than $30, I would have felt slighted. It's located in a strip shopping area so there is free parking off the street. Another bonus, it doesn't have the strong odor of chemicals some salons do. That was nice. read more

Okay so I just left here earlier today. Got a Acrylic fullset and pedicure. While getting my pedicure I'm assuming the manager started to yell across the salon for about 3-4 minutes about something that went wrong I'm assuming . Not the first time I've seen it happen but it's a bad look. My tech was Lucy she is very good I recommend her. My problem started when I smudged my nails while moving to the drying area . Lucy fixed it. I then noticed white specks on all my nails. She said it was the dust catching onto my nails okay cool. She fixes it and I waited 20 minutes and made my way home. Upon further expection I noticed the white specks were back. I called and asked if they could repolish my nails a different color since there was something wrong with the polish I was told I'd have to pay. After spending $47 Id rather paint them myself. Lucy was amazing though wish I tipped her more. Update** After having these nails done for 3 days they are breaking and cracking...I asked for coffin nails ( $27) and almost all my nails are oval. The tip of my thumbnail cracked while I was COOKING. Went to pick up a knife and boom popped right off. Nails are shaped crookedly. I didn't notice until someone else pointed it out..embarrassing! My visit to this nail salon was great but the aftermath was horrible I personally will not be returning for a fullset but I did enjoy my pedicure. read more

I came to this salon because the one I usually go to is still closed due to covid. I came in and I liked how clean the place was and but i didn't like how they didn't have the option for no chip pedicure. I was given a lady named Lera, very nice person but her work isn't so nice....I don't usually complain but she straight up did me wrong. She never prepped my nails for regular no chip manicure, didn't take off my cuticles neither did she do a good job on my feet. Never have I had my nails and feet done in less than an hour. Highly NOT recommended ! Had lashes done and they came off in 12 hours. They did not keep the toe separate on while doing them and my nail polish rubbed off. Showed them and they did not do anything but take of the polish on my side toe. They did not touch up the polish. Went back to have the lashes that came off replaced. This establishment deserves a negative 5 stars. I went to them to get a pedicure this morning and was extremely disappointed. I have been going here for a couple of years now but I've never received such terrible service. I am familiar with all of the employees but today I got a new guy. He was not trained at all, my polish was uneven & my nails were not properly filed down. You could clearly see lines (on my big toe) under the polish after he was finished. I asked for a design to cover it up but Diana gave me a half ass design that looked like a toddler could have done. I will be going to another salon from now on. read more

I like this place. I have been on the hunt for a good nail tech hints (my other reviews). I have only let Tina do my nails and she does an excellent job. I have waited two hours for her one day that's how real it is. Shes always nice and friendly. The front desk guy however is rude and told me he is ALWAYS right he also yells out the tip and the tech name after you pay like its a food order it's extremely unprofessional. I may not want the entire shop to know what I tipped. Another reason for the one missing star is time. I arrived there 30 min early one morning. Then Stood outside in the cold for 20 min after they were supposed to be open at 9. I wasn't alone. I thought I would beat the rush but we didn't get into the shop until 925am and the lady in fount of me was there for tina as well read more

And when asked to take them off they charged me 10 dollars after spending 68 dollars for the full set and poorly done pedicure. And to add insult to injury they talked about it for the entire time! I tried to give this place a chance. I don't go to nail salons often but lately I've been trying to keep my nails up. I've been coming to P Nails because they are right up the street and I've actually been pretty satisfied with some of my acrylic and pedicure sets. I recently visited a week ago for a full set (I actually had planned on not returning because once my acrylics were soaked off the state of my nails were HORRIBLE) but I had to leave town on emergency and the location is convenient and I didn't want to leave with chewed up nails. Anyway...I'm very turned off by the techs suggesting what I should tip. Very off putting and this has happened at every visit. I am also not sure when they started asking for money before the service is finished. Not comfortable with that either. Back to the tipping...so I came in for a full acrylic set as well as a pedi. My hands were done first because no one was available to do my pedi yet. So after the acrylic was applied I was told to pay (ok ) and I also tipped HIM although I'm not too comfortable with tipping before the finished product but meh. So my tech points to the person who would be doing my pedi and says "what bout his tip, 5... 10 dollars" ...I said to him that I do not plan to tip him UNTIL my service with him is done. I think that's its crazy to tip before the service and how dare you try to tell me when and how much to tip?? So...apparently he ran this by the guy whom I always assume is the owner who sits up front with dress pants on barking orders. The dressed up guy comes to me and says as I just sat in the pedicure chair "him 10 dollas and him 10 dollas" I said to him CLEARLY AND SPECIFICALLY that I do not plan to tip the pedi guy until AFTER my service is done. He said OK! So I assumed he didn't run my card yet (the manicurist told me when I told HIM that I wasn't tipping until my service was done that it was ok and wrote hold on my receipt!) Anyway, the service was finished and I was pleased (forgot his name but he seems to be more Americanized, very pleasant) so in turn I told him just a sec, I'm gonna tip you. So...I came to the front to (what I thought) pay for everything, tip included. The dressed up guy snapped sat me and said "I ASK YOU BOUT TIP YOU SAID NO, ONE TIP! 10 DOLLA CHARGE TO USE CARD AGAIN!" Oooook...I planned to tip the guy 10 anyway but I will not return. There was a huge misunderstanding I guess. Someone needs to help with comprehension there because clearly they're ALWAYS confused. It's very frustrating. Oh yes...LEE is very arrogant and self absorbed and it's a huge turn off. Had him twice. I've honestly had other sets done that lasted longer. With all of his bragging I expect more. I will never patron these types of shops again. I can go on and on honestly. I'm very picky about nail shops, but I like this place because it's clean, the chairs are very comfy, free wifi and ipads on the pedicure chairs, I've always been more than satisfied with how my manis and pedis come out, and the staff is not rude (one of my pet peeves with most nail salons.) The prices are pretty standard, you can find probably find cheaper, but you get what you pay for. read more

Lela was awesome! The salon is very clean. The staff is professional and friendly. The iPads and free wifi is a plus! Updating this review after going to this salon for almost 2 years: (1st review was left in 2014) The level of service is inconsistent. One day your nails may look good, the next time maybe not. I'd still go because it's the most convenient salon for me with my work schedule and not ridiculously priced like others in Homewood/Glenwood. The manager can be very rude and has no regard for what the customer's experience may have been. For example, I received no chip polish on my gel overlay and the polish chipped within a few days. I returned in exactly a week and asked if they could be re-polished at no charge or for a discounted price. After going back and forth he said no. I explained to him that I am a repeat customer, an excellent tipper and that I expect consistent service. I didn't understand the big deal! Why offer a product and verbally advertise it to last at least 2 weeks and when it doesn't happen, NOT compensate your customer? He told me that chipping is out of their control and could just be the brand of polish used. I told him that wasn't my problem! If you know there's a chance you're using a faulty product, how is that the customer's fault? This interaction ended with me leaving and promising to never spend my money in that salon again. Unfortunately I had to go back as a last resort and lucked up on a young lady named, Lucy. She was awesome, professional and my nails looked great for a change! One day she was so booked that I had to let someone else take me and after a week, the no chip polish started to fade. I returned in 2 weeks as usual, getting Lucy again and she shook her head at how my nails looked! Buuuuuuuut after about a week, the set that Lucy did also started to fade. Okay I'm never going back now! Ugh! Because of convenience, I'm stuck going again....Lucy was busy so I went to Mike, I had my overlay soaking off and wanted a manicure. As soon as he began, he cut my nail down so far that I began to bleed! He moved on but continued to try to work on that finger until the pain was unbearable and I told him not to touch it again. While I know it was an honest mistake, it still hurt like hell! He was apologetic, cleaned my finger as best he could and bandaged it. Here's the kicker!! The $2 discount I received for MY finger being butchered! Really $2?! I'm bleeding, in pain, incomplete manicure and have to come back in here to get one finger done after it heals?! Lastly, while my 9 fingers were drying, I noticed an employee pulling "like color" nail polish off of the wall and mixing them to fill nail polish bottles! Different shades, different brands and adding a liquid to them as well (could have been acetone, I'm not sure). No shame at all! Seriously, haven't been back since! Won't be going back! Didn't even go and get my 10th nail done after healing! Don't settle for this place for convenience, price, wifi or iPads. This place is shady, use bogus products and inconsistent. read more

I showed Diane a pic to ask if she could do the design, she said she could so we stayed. My tech was ok but he shortened my 1inch long NATURAL nails down to near stubs when asked to do almond shape! I went in here on Tuesday after a bad experience at a near by nail salon with my eyelashes. Well I ask for individual lashes and the lady suggested the human lashes that were 40 bucks. I went ahead and got them done and when she was finished they looked really nice. Before leaving I asked how long would they last and was told 3 weeks . The next morning I woke and and lashes were coming off everywhere. I called and spoke with the manager who could barely speak English and was told that they last from 1 day to 3 weeks. Well I explained that I wasn't informed of that and I would like them redone well to my dismay they wanted to charge me for redoing them. Really!! The strong smell of toxic chemical cause serious medical concerns for people with breathing issues. This salons must be inspected with regulatory controls for air quality. Headaches! Why do the staff wear protective mask but customers are denied a mask. Atleast when the shop is full the door could be open so people can breath. We can be beautiful and healthy too. The health department at the state level must regulate these shops immediately. People think they just have sinus problems. Its the chemicals. read more
