Seriously, even the basic pedi is better than something more extensive at other salons. Long massages and appropriate buffing when it comes to calluses. I was skeptical at first during my pedi as the nail tech didn't use the grater for my calluses, but he had buffed them out regardless. O usually get the grater so I was worried! However, don't question, these guys know what they're doing! My acrylic session was perfect. My tech did a beautiful job. I'm in love with them honestly! She took extra care and time. I have been going to Grand Nails for over 5 yrs. The service has declined consistently over the last year! I have had to go back for nail repairs constantly with in a week after getting my nails done. Recently, I got my nails done for the holiday. After a week, the thumb nail fell completely off after getting a dip manicure and pedicure spending over $100.00. I went in after an event and the manager, Tip fixed it. I was at an event when it fell off like a Walgreens press on nail! I didn't even know that could happen with a dip. Two days later the rest of the nails started falling off too. They all fell off except two. I still had holiday events to attend and had to go with my nails looking bad, it was so embarrassing! I called and spoke to the manager, Tip. He said to come in and that he would make it right. When I came in he refused because it was after the holidays on Jan 2nd. This was the 1st opportunity that I could come in because of the holidays. I have spent thousands of dollars there over the years, but will never return! I recommend this nail salon ONLY if you are in a rush/ in a pinch and other nail salons can't take you. I have been to this salon 5 or 6 times. I have never made an appointment and I have always been serviced right away. They are quick. They also have a good nail polish selection (specifically for dip & no chip). With that being said, they are slightly more expensive than other nail salons that I've been to in the area. Every single time I've been here the employee doing my nails have seemed extremely rushed (again - why I only recommend going to this place if you're in desperate need of a quick mani/pedi). I am convinced that they all get timed or something. They are always rushing and checking the clock during the services. Every time I have been here an employee has accidentally cut me (very likely due to the rushing). I've witnessed really unprofessional behavior from the staff. One time I was getting a pedicure and the woman was very unhappy that I chose the least expensive option. She kept asking me if I was sure I wanted to choose that one. After telling her TWICE that I was sure, she ROLLED HER EYES at me. On another occasion, two employees were loudly yelling at eachother, clearly fighting about something, in front of everyone. It made us all feel really uncomfortable. Additionally, I've seen employees sleeping at their stations. Her name was Jenny and she sat in my face and talked sh!t with her coworkers as if her entire job isn't to repair my nails. Now, it isn't common for me to write reviews about people who peak in elementary school, but when I confronted her about her conversation and the fact that she had people coming over to look and laugh at my nails while I'm sitting in her chair, she said she was having a fight with her friend. Highest price ever paid for a mani/pedi- worst results ever. The size of the mail was too small and he didn't paint the sides of the mail or bring the gel all the way to the cuticle. I got this manicure yesterday- well a full set of gel nails but they didn't do any manicure service before application. No cuticle pushing or hang nails trimmed. Nothing. Just seemed like she didn't care. My nails were not even in length and the tops of my nails look so bumpy. I didn't sit in her chair until 1hr and 45 after my appointment time, and she got mad at me because I told her my nails need to be cut down and she never asked how short, she just cut them to the nub of my fingers. She told me I complained a lot when I was getting my pedicure and I was not. The girl doesn't speak English so she would look at me and I would tell her what I wanted. That's not complaining. I used to love this nail salon. I've been going there for about 5 years, but they have really gone down hill! The girl I saw was Nancy, she was fabulous, but she left. The last 2 times I've gone, I've been very disappointed! I felt that they rushed my service. Today, I went for a pedicure. The girl did a terrible job. My heels and toes are still rough. She did not even put a top coat on, and I had to have her redo two nails that had globs on them. I actually upgraded to a more expensive pedicure, and this was the result. The staff did my nails well but when I asked him why I wasn't shown how to use the drying desk for my toes, he laughed at me and said they didn't have to because everybody knows how to use it. The woman who did my nails was very nice along with the man at the front desk. My only negative detail is that the nice woman cut two of my fingers with the file right under the nails and it HURT. I've been religiously coming here for years. Lately the last few no chips have felt rushed, no hand massage - just lotion slapped on. I also miss the shoulder massages. They were a great addition. So they take away both of the relaxing parts of a manicure and add $8 more dollars on the price. Attention to detail is what I loved about this place. I've come to this salon a couple of times now and I thought I had found a good salon! I was happy with the service, they have a big color selection, plenty of workers, and they are good at shaping nails. I went in to get gel nails (no chip) and after four days six of my fingers have chipped (I do computer work so I'm not hard on my nails) I go in to ask to have them fixed and they had me try and find the exact color out of there 100+ colors, mind you I got pink and that's a very popular color and I said I think this one I don't remember exact my number, they compared my nail to the one I picked and the manger said okay looks good. At first they just wanted to fix the two major chipped nails and I had to tell them no it's more than one the chips are just smaller. They proceeded to fix the ones I requested after I asked for them. I originally asked for them all to be fixed the others are likely to chip but they refused. They didn't soak of the fingers they used the drill and then just added color on top. They had attitude the entire time doing my nails. I then noticed the color was slightly off (it was a pink so how could I pick the exact one) I asked for her to just put it over it so I could match and she said "no I told you this color was lighter and you said okay" and I said no I told you there's a lot of colors over there this isn't an exact match I don't remover my color. So I said how am I supposed to remember the number and she told me to "take a picture of it and write it down." So then I asked them how much three fingers would be since those are the ones that are off and they wanted to charge full price for three fingers. So if you come here don't have Lili do your nails and make sure you take a picture or write down the exact color you get in case it chips. I understand the color part was my fault but how am I supposed to remember the exact color I wouldn't have to be doing this if there polish was any good in the first place. I'm not a picky person but I paid them money for this less than a week ago. It shouldn't have chipped already. Michelle did my nails and she did a fantastic job. She really took her time and paid attention to the smallest detail. It had been over a month since my last fill and they showed it! She fixed the nails that were lifting off and replaced a broken one. She also clipped my cuticles! I changed my mind from the standard no chip when I saw her nails! They were Ombre and really pretty. I picked a no chip color but the first coat was really light so she went and got a darker color. They came out beautiful! You even get a mini back and shoulder massage along with a hand massage! I had a mani and pedi done at the spa. When I went to leave, I noticed that there was polish on my fit flop which cost $80 and have barely been worn. When trying to remove the polish they ruined my shoe only to blame me for it. The male receptionist said that I dropped pink polish on my shoe when a I tested the color. However, I never even opened the bottle. He also had the nerve to say it was a different color when in fact it was pink like my feet. He said that so as not to make it look like the nail tech did it. I know that when the nail tech put these on my feet before polishing them, there was no polish on them. I'm appalled by the way in which he quickly lied and blamed me. I just walked out. When calling them after I got home, he said the same things again and pretended like there was no owner to talk to about this. He was probably the owner!
