Let's talk about my tardiness and how her understanding of my horrible timing, was a pleasant surprise. When I walked in the door, she didn't make me feel like I've wasted 15 minutes of her time. She was patient and gave recommendations for my vague sense of style. I'm astonished on how knowledgeable she is with Tik Tok due to my daughters idea of "hip". Needless to say, I had no idea what she wanted but thankfully Saba did. Don't get me started on our conversation wooo. Our conversations made me feel like I was speaking with an old friend and sometimes that is just difficult to come by. I love the haircut and styling. Definitely recommend her and will certainly be back. Thank you!!!!

Saba is an absolute hair wizard! I was so nervous about finding a new stylist after I moved here from California about a year and a half ago. I tried a couple places before PS, but none have been as good as my experience with Saba. She also did my hair and makeup for my body building show! She did an amazing job!! Highly recommend!

I have been getting my hair done by Saba for years and LOVE her new studio. She is an amazing artist and a color expert! Whenever I walk out of PS Hair Studio my hair looks fabulous. I highly recommend her, I don't let anyone else touch my hair.

    After!

My first visit to P.S Hair Studio was earlier this week. Saba started the appointment by doing a full evaluation of where my hair currently stood in retards to both health and color. She inspected it thoroughly and asked me insightful questions to gauge the true health of my hair and to hear about my coloring history. No stylist I've ever worked with has taken the time to do this and I immediately felt comfortable with her styling decisions. She asked me if I had an inspiration photos and I showed her a few I saved from Instagram. She was honest with me about the health of my hair (it was extremely damaged) and she set the expectation of what we would be able to accomplish. The finished results blew me away. My hair was exactly what I wanted and more. I still can't believe it and can't stop looking in the mirror! She cut away the dead, but didn't cut too much (which happens too often). The color is multi dimensional and BEAUTIFUL. I highly, highly recommend Saba at PS Hair Studios. I will be heading back in a month or so!

What can I say!? Saba is just an outstanding person overall and an amazing hairstylist. She is worth every penny. I always look forward seeing her because I know she provides great results.

LOVE SABA! When I moved to Northern Virginia, I struggled to find someone that could handle blonde hair. I tried a couple places before finding Saba. After she nailed it, I will never switch! Easy to schedule and the private studio is amazing! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I recently came in for a refreshed look and let Saba use her creative touch to come up with the perfect color.

I've been seeing Shannon Bender for a few years now, and I bring my whole family along. I'm a…read morenatural dark brunette, but I love getting blonde balayage, haircuts, and Brazilian treatments. Even though I dye my hair every couple of months, it's still healthy and full. Shannon is a senior stylist, and her expertise in color and hair care is impressive. I live in Great Falls, where the well water tends to turn my hair green, but Shannon always manages to fix that. My hair has never looked better! Going from black to blonde isn't easy, and I really can't stand any red or orange tones. I've had issues with other stylists in the past, and it's just not my vibe. My 16-year-old daughter has tried out a bunch of hair colors--red, burgundy, brown, blonde, and back to black. Despite all the changes, her hair stays thick and healthy. I wouldn't trust anyone else with her hair because I worry about damage. Shannon is not just a fantastic stylist; she's also super friendly, kind, and honest. Honestly, she's like my therapist too, haha! She's usually pretty busy and booked up for a few months, so you definitely need an appointment. If you're looking for a new stylist, you should definitely check out Shannon. You won't regret it!

Well...here's how I ended up going to PR at Partners. Before coming here, I had been going to the…read moresame hair stylist since I was 28---yeah, that's a long time but hey, I'm getting old :D Through the years she bounced around to different salons in Tysons Corner (all in the mall). One day, I called to make an appointment. The day before the appointment, I got a call saying that the salon had moved. No longer was it in the mall but in an area of McLean that was a real pain to get to and parking there was also horrible. It really bothered me that my stylist didn't take the time to call me personally to let me know. After all, she did have my phone number. She also once told me she would never leave the mall. I cancelled my appointment after finding that they had moved and never looked back. Now...what to do next? I researched what was in Reston Town Center and came up with PR at Partners. After reading the Yelp reviews, I was concerned as the reviews said the reception staff was rude. But...I decided to walk over there and find out for myself. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the young woman working there was very nice. So, what I did was ask her if there were any stylists who wouldn't be afraid to cut my hair. She said "What's wrong with your hair?" I said, "It's thick, coarse, wavy and frizzy." She said, "Oh, just like mine." I looked at her hair and said "yes". She then gave me the names of 2 different stylists. Apparently, they have different levels of stylists with the most experienced ones charging the most. One of the 2 stylists charged just what my old stylist charged, so I made an appointment with her---and I'm glad I did! My first visit I immediately knew she was the right one when she said "I'm not afraid to cut your hair." Before cutting it, she spent a good amount of time asking what I wanted in a cut, showing me photos then showing me how she would improve on my current cut. For example, she pointed out that the back of my hair could use some shaping. At the end of the appointment, I really liked my haircut---much better than my previous one. She's also taught me a lot about hair care. For example, I finally learned what the diffuser on the hair dryer was for and why I should use it. I feel spoiled going here. When you get a shampoo, the chair also gives you a back massage. Good thing it doesn't take long to wash my hair or I would end up falling asleep---the massage is that nice! I've never come across a rude receptionist either. All have been friendly and patient. In fact, one day I walked in and the receptionist said "Susan?" I didn't expect that. The day before my appointment, I always get an email asking me to confirm that I'm still coming. My last appointment in 2019, I was told if I booked the first one for 2020 right then I would get a coupon to save $10 on the next appointment. All this makes me feel like the appreciate their customers. Now I can walk to my appointments, which is great. I'm so glad I made the change!

I've been testing out new salons since moving here with the hope of finding one I really like that…read morealso doesn't break the bank, and had high hopes for this one based on the reviews. I only ever do simple cuts, nothing fancy. My haircut, done by Anderson (a level 3 stylist), is objectively good. The skill was there. But it's definitely shorter than I wanted it. Went in for a lob, came out with an asymmetrical bob...Honestly I was panicking while he was drying it because it was starting to look like Lord Farquaad from Shrek. I asked if he could style it like in the reference pictures I showed (simple waves, to reduce Farquaad-ness). He tried to do it with the brush/dryer, which obviously wasn't working, and didn't want to use a flatiron. So I just suffered through scalding heat on my scalp and hair pulling. I got told I don't have curly hair. I got told I don't have frizzy hair. I, in fact, have both of those. Some other minor things: 1. When I got home I had some hair that was noticeably longer than the rest, like it never got cut. So...I had to do it. Just a few strands, but normally stylists check for that when your hair is dry. 2. I almost never use heat on my hair, so I asked for recs and mentioned a specific brand doesn't work for me. He immediately said he loves that brand. I said yeah...but it doesn't work for me. Anything else? "Any salon brand." Cool. Not helpful. 3. Asked for something at the end to tame the pieces that were sticking out (again, I have frizzy hair). He looked...confused? Smoothing as a last step has been standard at every other place I've been to. There is nothing in the whole salon like that? Also, my introvert-self just wants to go somewhere where I don't have to be engaged in conversation the whole time. Anyway. Won't go back, my hunt continues.
