Just went to PS Nails for the first time and absolutely loved getting my eyebrows waxed! Usually, it is very painful and uncomfortable for me and I always feel rushed. They took their time and I felt as little pain as possible. I almost fell asleep in the chair! I usually get my eyebrows done on Long Island for $5 (it is my hometown), and at PS Nails it was $12. I have been coming here since June 2017 and they have been just "ok". They are conveniently located to me. Today the tech who worked on my manicure and pedicure was in sloooooow motion and did a horrific job on my cuticles. She was more interested in chatting up her colleague. I left after 1.5 hour and was not able to get my nails polished. I have to do it myself. Just awful. read more

If I could give negative stars I absolutely would! Never have I been treated so rudely before. Vivian did my fill in with gel polish and pedicure. My gel color is all uneven, u can see through spots, side and top of nails aren't painted and there are bubbles in the paint. Vivian also did my pedicure, she was very rough and I have small cuts on my cuticles on a few of my toes. I understand that mistakes happen so I went back inside and told her what my problem was and she said it was fine and acted like I didn't know what I was talking about!! She didn't even offer to fix them so I just wasted $70, also the paint on my toes is the same way. Horrible, dont waste your money here cause apparently the customers opinions dont matter! I also had a few stones put on two of my nails and not even 2 hours later they are popping off. This place is way over priced and are horrible when it comes to customers opinions cause to them we are wrong no matter what. It's a shame cause I wanted a new nail place near my job but no way will this be it! I will be sticking with Ken at Zen Nail Spa in Orange Park, that place is amazing and much cheaper than PS Nails. PS should stand for poor service cause no one seems to reach out to solve these problems, the owner should be reaching out to the people who write the bad reviews and try to make it right! So I believe I've reviewed this place before for their manicure and pedicure services which are great. However, I just got a wax here which was by far the worst wax I've ever received. She was unable to get the hair as my skin began to bleed and proceeded to just tweeze it all. I got to a point where I just told her to stop because it was a bit ridiculous. HORRIBLE! I called ahead and asked for a fill and to fix a couple nails that had broken and the amount the lady originally quoted me was WAY OVER!! They do not clean their tools and I got an infection underneath my cuticle from the infested tools. ON TOP OF THAT. The day after one of my nails broke and the Man blamed me???!!!! The appointment was only 45 minutes long, so it only took up a small bit of my busy afternoon, and I couldn't be happier with the results. My nails look amazing, and the woman who did my nails was very friendly and nice. Love this place. Friendly staff, clean place, overall great experience. Saw reviews before checking it out and grabbed cash. There is a Chase bank two-three blocks away. You can use credit card, but there's a fee if you do. I went on a Saturday and it was packed! I waited, which wasn't a big deal. Now I know to go with an appointment or on a day where I don't have anything going on. Prices are reasonable and worth it. Will definitely go there again. read more

The last kind of person I ever wanted to be was a yelper (so many of them need hobbies or to refrain from complaining about things that places of business can't control) However... I came here for a "spa pedicure" and it was bad enough for me to write my first yelp review. My feet soaked for 2 minutes before the water was drained.... Then my nails were clipped, and this was the only actual manicuring I got besides a quick buff (yes we skipped filing and cuticle cutting). Next a cheese grater was taken out of a box of manicure tools, and after I gave a look of horror and disgust, the kitchen utensil was put away. The best part of any pedicure is the scrub and of course the massage, but I experienced neither one of these. Since the water was drained I suppose a scrub was out of the question...But then some lotion was lightly slapped on the bottom of my feet and the side of my calves, and immediately wiped off with a hot rag. It wasn't even rubbed in...... I'm serious. I paid $26 for a job I could have done myself in a hurry, and I regretted not spending it on a bottle of wine and a movie rental for an actual relaxing experience. So disappointing. read more

Great place for the price! $35 regular mani/pedi, $55 no chip mani/reg pedi. I walked right in on Sunday at 4 and they were able to take me for a no chip mani/pedi. They were done by 5 (when they closed) but didn't rush. Someone even walked in at 4:50 and they took her, so walk ins are definitely welcome. My nail tech helped me match my no chip color to the regular color on my toes, and I love them both! The massage chair was great and the techs were friendly. Nothing fancy, but it's exactly what I need - they do a good job and don't take forever. This is less than a 3 minute walk from me and is extremely convenient. Took away one star because it is not the "spa-like" feel like some other salons. This is a great no-frills spot. read more

My nails look great when I leave and the polish stays on much longer than it does with most places. It is not outrageously expensive and it is a plesant experience. The do a nice job but it would be good if the staff was not so loud and talked constantly. If you get 10 seconds of quiet it's amazing. Usually 3 or 4 of the techs are talking non stop and while your nails are good you leave w a headache. read more

I thought I try this place out because someone told me it was pretty good. They are very friendly but I was very disappointed. Went on a Friday for a mani/pedi and by Sunday my nails were already peeling & I don't dishes without gloves. By Tuesday it was worse. My feet were just ok. i hsd a very bad experience. After getting no chip manicures at a favorite salon for quite a whilewith no issues I went to PS Nails. Within 24 hours my nails started to chip. Ladies, Not my nail polish, but the actual layers of my nails. It will take months for me to grow my nails so they are healthy again. Della refused to give me my money back, insisting that they did nothing wrong. How can this be? Go at your own risk. read more
