My friends were talking about the subs their. they told me that they really pack it with meat... I had to find out so I ordered a roast beef sub. When I went to pick it up, it was like they handed me a brick... I mean this sub was solid and heavy.... They were not kidding, I would say the meat was in ratio with the bread (which was a sub roll). I really enjoyed it. I also have tried their cheese steak which was just as packed with meat. I did try their tacos out of curiosity... The soft shell taco is like a mini burrito... but I wasn't too sure about the meat... kinda tasted too sweet for my taste. you also get a regular sized hard shell taco with the order. Overall, it is a nice store and the people in it our nice people. And the food at the deli counter is great. I have recently tried a soup mix and it was really good.

I happen to collect these things because they make awesome night lights (great for reading if others are asleep) and because they're just plain pretty. However, many people believe in the healing and purifying aspects of these things, and if that's your thing, cool. The women who run the store are very knowledgeable and can fill you in on all the different properties of the lamps. Oh yes, the staff - the women who run this place are adorable. I mean, I just want to put them in my pocket. They're super nice, and always happy to take a moment out of their day to chat, whether it's about their products or real estate, or whatever. They're also very good - they insist you "try out" any lamp in which you are interested, meaning you get to close yourself in the bathroom to check out how each lamp glows in total darkness. And replacement bulbs are always free, I think. They have a nice selection of magnetic jewelry, which again, I think is really pretty. Oh, and if any of you have housemates of a fuzzy nature, I highly recommend picking up one of the organic catnip toys. My cats *still* love the one that I brought home two years ago. Usually these things lose potency after a few months, but my furballs still get all drank-too-much-Jolt-cola around it. The thing is actually kind of disgusting after years of my cats licking it and sitting on it and doing god knows what. But hey, it still works! I always like supporting local stores, too. Perhaps it'll get lots of hits once the summer flea/antique market crowd comes out this way, but it was so obscure, I almost missed it! I have loved Paula Deen for the better part of this decade, since her celebrity came about. I embrace butter. I don't take princess bites. I've read her autobiography, and cooked several of her recipes (her chocolate bread pudding sent my dessert making skills to new heights). But I thought her store would be more than what it is. It's small, though there are several charming items here. If you want a butter flavored lip balm, butter Christmas ornament, or a set of coffee mugs praising butter, you will find all of that here.

I was last here about 2 weeks ago to sneak an iced tea for myself (Upstate Farms) which I don't usually drink anymore, but once in awhile it's not the end of the world. The guy that works here is really nice and I like to come here for gas once in awhile because they are such nice people. Plus it's open around the clock and conveniently located in an area with not much open late at night. I live about 10 mins from here. What I like about this store, despite the iffy service, is that they sell the Upstate Farms Iced Tea (Lemon) that I used to be addicted to. Most places don't. And I really appreciate that, as it's amazing iced tea. Still, the gas here is pretty pricy so I can't give it a 5. But the excellent service and the iced tea ensure it scores a very healthy 4. Be very careful in this parking lot in the winter... it gets icy, and becomes like walking on a hockey rink.

You know, that little thing you can use to keep the pump held closed without having to hold it so your gas pumps but your hands don't freeze in the winter? I don't know what they're really called... Anyway, I stopped on my way home from ladies night last night after my sister drove my SUV down to fumes. My 15 gallon tank was so empty, it actually took 15.9 gallons of gas... Yikes! Saved in the nick of time! I made the huge mistake of looking up while I was pumping my gas and I saw some of the hugest sharpest looking spiders ever in huge webs all over the top of the pump and roof... I literally just got the willies remembering how menacing they looked (I have an irrational fear of spiders). But I'm glad they were there and not in my yard or around my house... Blech! If you're nuts like me, don't look up. Well, maybe you should because then you'll know that nothing is about to fall on your head. Or maybe it is... Okay, gas pumps are great, the little pump stopper thingy is great, snacks in the store are great, cashier always friendly. But those spiders... I'll stop now... Haha!
