I was incredibly impressed here! The ambiance, service, menu options, margaritas, and delivery was exceptional here for our girls night out. To start, our service was thoughtful, personal, and consistent. She would hear us say something about a sauce, and come by with some other options, and made amazing recommendations! When I asked about the margaritas, I found out that the watermelon one had freshly blended melon, and had to give that a try! OMG, amazing! There was truly pieces of watermelon in my drink, and since it wasn't some fake overly sugary syrup, it wasn't too sweet - instead limey and fresh! Delicious. They have so many fun options for drinks, enough to recommend this place simply for a happy hour! The cojita fries were also an incredible win for our table. If you aren't a fan of poblano or a little kick, maybe stay away, but if you DO... get it get it get it! It's a huge pile of fries absolutely loaded with toppings! Cojita cheese, roasted poblano, roasted onions, a jalepeno crema.. fabulous. My meal was a burrito bowl, and it was such a huge portion to be two meals for me haha. I asked for cojita cheese to be added, and they loaded me up - which was greatly appreciated! I had a bunch of veggies and beans, paired again with the jalapeño crema! My friend ordered the birria plate and holy cow was the portion huge! She enjoyed the texture of the tacos and the flavor, but did say that it was all a little salty. The birria was a bit thicker than a typical consume. My other friend got a taco plate, and I will say that her portion was the smallest, but she had nothing but good things to say about flavor. The music was a mix of salsa, bachata, and reggaeton and I loved the options to sit inside or outside or even at the bar. With a cute view of midtown, a well done mixture of lights and imagery inside, and so many high points in the meal - I'd highly recommend this spot for Mexican food! read more

Here's a polished one-star review you could post: We arrived at 7:30 PM and had one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. It took about 20 minutes just to receive chips and salsa, 30 minutes to get our drinks, and a full hour before our food arrived. Unfortunately, the food was not worth the wait. The chicken tasted more like turkey than chicken, and the overall quality was disappointing. The service was extremely slow, and we rarely saw our server throughout the meal. Between the long wait times, poor service, and disappointing food, we will not be returning. I cannot recommend this restaurant based on our experience. read more

My husband and I went to midtown for the Friday night market and decided to eat and chose your restaurant. we were seated immediately and the hostess was very friendly. we sat about 15 minutes before getting a drink order in, it took roughly 20 minutes to receive the 2 mango margaritas and personally believe there was no tequila in the drinks. Waited another 20-25 minutes to order food and then about 30 minutes to receive our dinet. I was so excited to get homemade tortillas I ordered the fish tacos and my husband ordered the enchiladas he loved his food mine was just disgusting the tort shells were very thick and raw and the tacos were soaked with pineapple juice and just poured out when picking it up. the fish tasted like nothing. we sat at a shared table and the ladies at the other end of our table had the same issues with service and after they were there over 30 minutes asked about their food and she came back and said that the order was not put in then asked if they wanted to reorder it and they declined. I visited Pa Mas for the first time recently and enjoyed it. We just went in for drinks and sat at the bar. The employees were friendly and the bartender attentive. If you drive, there is a parking garage right across the courtyard in Midtown Crossing, and other garage and street parking options nearby. The restaurant itself is really nice, with lots of indoor seating and a good side patio outside. I will definitely be back on a nice day to sit on the patio! We each ordered a drink and I really enjoyed my cucumber jalapeño margarita- very refreshing for a hot summer day and the perfect amount of spice. We wanted something to snack on and ordered the chips and guac. The guac tasted really fresh and I loved the chunky tomatoes on it - would definitely order again! Really great tacos and chips with salsa! I came here over lunch with my coworker on a Tuesday. They have a special on Tuesday for $3 tacos. I got carne asada and the white fish taco, and she got a white fish taco and a barbacoa. We split chips and salsa, when we got our chips they were still warm. The best, thin and crispy chips! The service was excellent, we came when only a couple couple of tables were there over lunch, so we got our food pretty quickly. The Mojito we had was enough to quench Monica and me's thirst. Additionally, I had the chicken fajitas, which were massive. I always finish my meal, but NO WAY JOSE this time. Way too much food. But that's a good thing! So bring your appetite when you eat here. Large: It is a REALLY large space. The facade hides how much space is in the restaurant. Their configuration is ideal for relatively large groups with a lot of booths that easily fit six people. The bar area is sizable as well, and there is a private group space in the back as well. Service: The Entire staff was super nice. Our waitress Cristina was knowledgeable about the menu and checked on us frequently despite a relatively busy section. The hostess was very funny and was personable to everyone. Pro Tip: It is surprisingly a great place to watch sporting events. They have TONS of TVs. So, you should put this on your list of places to watch games. Pro Tip: It is in Midtown Crossing Complex, so there is a good amount of parking in the general vicinity, but you should be prepared to walk a bit because sometimes the parking in the loop fills up. read more

Pa Mas Taqueria & Grill is in Midtown/Omaha, next to several other businesses off near Dodge Street. Once you enter, it appears clean and lively. With only 1 server, it took a while for us to get seated. Once we were seated, service actually became better. Looking over Yelp reviews, I decided not to order the Carne Asada and went with the Carnitas. The pork was well-flavored but the dish only came with 2 small corn tortillas, not enough to really enjoy the pork. Also, the dish lacked having a 'bite'...you would expect something to be on the dish such as a jalapeño or salsa. I had to request hot sauce to give the kick it deserved. Overall, it wasn't the best taqueria in Omaha and parking will require paying the pay station to park in front or around the area. This local gem was an amazing find when walking around midtown crossing. We tried the chips and salsa (chips come out warm, salsa is so fresh) and the mango flavored mojito. The drink was so refreshing and perfect to share. The fish taco was exponentially better than the shrimp taco (the tempora on the shrimp was too salty for me), and I wish they were a little bigger. My friends and I are fans of a joint that provides a good chip and salsa combo. The restaurant ranks even higher when we hear that there are unlimited chips and salsa along with a Margarita flight available. The salsa has a smokey, rustic flavor to it from the fire roasted tomatoes and the chips were thin and crunchy. I loved the idea of a margarita flight because it allows you to try different drinks without the commitment of selecting one without knowing if you like it. We all had different favorites when it came to the flight. I was a fan of the mangoada margarita. You could easily come for just the chips and salsa plus drinks but I was interested in seeing what their street taco scene was like. I was not disappointed. Additionally their location is ideal with it sitting right on Turner Park. Came in for dinner on a Saturday evening. Really enjoy the location and casual ambience. Made reservations thru OpenTable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My wife has to eat gluten free and the server was very good at navigating that concern. We started with nachos and they were some of the best I've had. I tried the house margarita and for $6 it really hit the spot. We decided to try the specials and my wife had the Grilled salmon which she let me try. It was really tasty though a bit salty. I had the Barbacoa tacos, they were fantastic. My only complaint is they grilled the tortillas which added some nice flavor but they fell apart very quickly and made a big mess. Ok, here's the deal with this place. The owners and managers are great and really take care of the customer. My wife and I eat here about once a week because it is convenient. I would say the food is normally four stars, but the service is always five stars for us. Last night we entertained seven of us at the bar to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, and the place was packed! Even though this was the biggest crowd we've seen, probably made bigger due to Berkshire Hathaway weekend, the staff rocked it! They were slinging food quickly, serving drinks quickly, and our bartender, "BEN!" made our night as we sampled their top two tequilas... on top of margaritas, nachos and tacos. If you like street taco style, they have several good flavors, but their beef taco can't be beat. I get two of those fried flour bundles of heaven when I'm there. Nachos are great and even their special entrees are inventive and good. Clearly, this is a favorite of ours for a variety of reasons. read more

Went here for a night out with the fam to be teased with good flavors but bad execution. The restaurant as a whole looks great and the service is decent. Chips and salsa aren't complementary which stinks in my opinion. The chips and salsa tho are high quality with flavor and a good structure to the chip. The margarita was ok can't go wrong it. Not to strong on the Alc side. Then the tacos. Carnitas taco- wasn't hot felt like room temperature meat. Carne Asade- best flavor taco but once again room temperature was the big issue. Average. Food/drink menu. Overall everything is reasonably priced. Tacos are fairly priced and a decent amount of food for the price. Shrimp taco: 5.4/10. Lacked the sauce I was looking for. It was very bland and dry at times. More sauce or additional veggies would've helped a great deal. Fish taco: 7:3/10. Fish wasn't amazing. However, what saved this dish was mango pico. Mango was super fresh and paired extremely well with the food. Again, would've loved more sauce Carne Asada: 7.5/10. This one was my favorite meat. Seasoned super well and the pico paired perfect with it. Chicken: 8.3/10. Overall the best taco. Fantastic combination with the meat/ veggies. I have dined at Pa Mas a couple of times now, and had an enjoyable experience each time. We were seated promptly and our food didn't take too long to come out, even with a larger group ordering ahead of us. While the menu doesn't offer much in the way of meatless entrees, I'm ok with shrimp tacos, cotija fries and Street corn. At our last visit, I noticed that they have added portobello mushroom fajitas to the menu. I haven't tried those yet, but I will check them out next time. I should mention that their guacamole is delicious too. Chips and Salsa are not complimentary though, you'll have to order those off the appetizers menu. A relatively new restaurant in Midtown Crossing and we went back there second time after leaving it early last time due to limited service. The experience was way better this time and enjoyed this new place. The decor was impressive, nice and open seating and we sat out on the patio, beautiful evening. The servers explained upfront the staff shortage but inspite of that they were trying hard and did a fine job. We ordered three drinks, traditional margarita, pomegranate frozen margarita and mojito, margaritas were very sweet but nonetheless enjoyable. For food we ordered beef nachos, big serving, tasted delicious, carne asada platter, again decent size serving and well made. Also ordered soup which was almost a full entree with a ton of shredded pork in it and chips on the side, enjoyed that too. Patio seating was nice, also had heat lamps which were turned on later as it was a little chilly. Just moved into the neighborhood and walked in on a Monday. We were immediately greeted by a friendly guy snd shown to a comfortable booth. The music leans towards techno-Hispanic, but was good. We ordered the ceviche and guacamole appetizers. Both came out fast and were very fresh. We split the combo chicken/steak fajitas and they were served sizzling and fast. With a slight Smokey flavor, the fajitas were tender and tasty. The black bean side, with rice, was a nice break from the standard refried glue served elsewhere. We came here after purchasing an Omaha super deal and we were beyond impressed. While we planned to eat mostly chips, salsa, guac, and apps because of the limited veggie options, we were delighted to find that they were incredibly accommodating. I'll start with the chips, salsa, and guac. At first we were surprised to see that the chips and salsa cost $ (which is increasingly common these days, I admit), but it was WORTH IT. They brought each of the 4 of us our own salsa, which means bring on the double dipping lol. And it was good! The guac was also delish. For meals... I ordered the strawberry mango salad w/o the chicken and it was DELICIOUS and plenty filling without extra protein. My husband asked if it was possible to order fajitas without the meat...just the veggies. They were not only totally okay with the adjustment, but they even added extra veggies (corn and zucchini) and it was amazing. My toddler asked for corn without the spicy stuff and they made it happen - so very kind. I also enjoyed the jalapeno cucumber margarita. Just the right amount of kick to make you feel it, but the cucumber tamed it enough to want another :) We'll definitely be back. read more

After passing by Pa Mas several times a week on the way to our gym in Midtown, my partner and I finally decided to stop in for dinner. It was much more casual than we expected -- in a good way! We started off with $6 house margs that we're good. Not the absolute best I've ever had, but for six bucks they were great. The chips and salsa was fantastic and came with unlimited refills. We both opted for a variety of tacos that were, again, good but not the absolute best I've ever had. But for the prices, you really can't beat the quality! New restaurant in Midtown Crossing. Stopped in during the Night Market, didn't realize it was just their second day open. That made perfect sense why a lot of the staff may have seemed nervous. Overall, I thought the food was quite good, though it wasn't very hot when it arrived to the table. They do have bottomless chips and salsa which are quite good, but it's be nice if the salsa came out in something larger than the tiny bowl they use. I saw staff wandering around trying to figure out which food went to which table, but I can certainly understand nerves on the second evening. The menu is quite limited, not sure if it's a small menu to start. Basically there are five street taco choices, and also a handful of platter options as well. The drinks were good, but it'd be nice to see a more robust wine selection. I would give them another chance to see how they are progressing and hope they are able to succeed! So with that, I give them a four. I saw obvious mistakes in the service and also the lack of the food being hot, but I chalk that up to being so new. If they can correct that, it'd be another nice option to have in Midtown. read more
