We were the first to arrive for Sunday lunch, and were seated at a booth. The whole place was decorated with Valentine's Day balloons at every table when we visited, I thought that was a really cute touch. We ordered the tableside quac, because it is what you do when that option is provided. We customized the selections to our liking, and the result was a delicious, fresh guac. I would return just for this and a margarita flight. Oh yes, a Margarita Flight. Four different flavors of margs, served on a tower with flowers and sparklers stuck to it. A+ for presentation! The Margaritas themselves were also quite good, fruity and sweet just like I like them. The menu has a small vegan section, but not a vegetarian one. So one can order a vegan meal or customize an entree without meat, for example. I went with a cheese quesadilla. The place is shiny and new, with a modern color palette and an insta-worthy neon light wall. Our server was really feiendly and helpful with any questions we had about the menu. Really teetering on three stars for this review but gave it four because of the amazing service. I ordered the house margarita and as you can see from the picture it was beautifully decorated. Quite tasty I must say as well. We enjoyed the chips and salsa that came complementary. I was super excited to try the ribeye fajitas. I do not know of any other place in Omaha that does ribeye fajitas. The meat was sliced thinly perfect for fajitas however, there was just very little flavor and they were surprisingly a bit dry. Almost like no seasoning at all was used. I don't think I've ever salted my fajitas, but I did this time. Luckily, there was a salt shaker on the table. It did at least give it some flavor. The onions and green peppers that came with it were cooked perfectly, but also tasteless. My dining partner didn't care for her meal much either. She just did not care for the taste of the red sauce. It reminded her a bit of barbecue sauce for some reason. I tasted it and it's not something I would've enjoyed either just personal preference on that. I'm sure others love it. I wish there were prices on the drink menu and because there was not I just stuck with a house Margarita, not knowing what everything else would cost. My husband and I were heading home from an appointment and passed La Plaza Fiesta - we did a U-Turn to head there immediately! The interior is very cute with bright colors and lots of natural light. Behind the bar is a Día de los Muertos mural and in one of the dining areas is an adorable neon sign that says "Feed me tacos and tell me I'm pretty" LOL We were seated and the service was great from the get go - always refilling drinks, making sure we understood the menu, and overall just being pleasant. The complimentary chips and salsa, along with a dip that is almost like a spicy mayo - were all great. We also ordered the cheese dip for our chips and that was SO flavorful and tasty. I love a good dip! For our mains, I had the street tacos with steak for the protein. The steak itself was a little flavorless, but the accoutrements around the tacos made them alright. My husband had the steak chimichanga, and he agreed that the steak wasn't super high quality or maybe just not very well seasoned. The chimichanga was huge, and was topped with a white cheese sauce - so there was flavor there. But I wish the steak itself had been seasoned or had a little more flavor. I would definitely return to La Plaza Fiesta for the awesome vibes and great staff - I'd maybe just choose a different protein and/or dish next time! read more

Looking for another authentic and affordable Mexican restaurant in West Omaha? This is it. 122nd & W Center. We've been here several times and tried different food each time, more than satisfied every time. They have a huge menu. This time was no different. Huge margaritas $10, served with sparklers from a huge drink menu. For dinner we had a super burrito with chicken, it is huge too and covered with cheese sauce and served with rice & beans, $17; Shrimp Fajitas, with flour or corn tortillas and plenty of large shrimp with veggies, beans & rice, $23. Best part every time is the table side guacamole, fresh, delicious and you can pick what you want in it, $9 before tip, don't be stingy, tip the guacamole server. The service all around is fantastico every time. They work very hard here. Great place and they have a very nice outdoor patio with TV's. First trip to La Plaza Fiesta. Great lunch experience. Service was absolutely friendly the second we walked in. Must say look forward to going back to try some of the seafood items. Specially the whole crispy red snapper. For lunch I had the carnitas plate with a side of grilled Jalapeños. Huge serving for $16. Basically will get 2 meals out of it. Unfortunately didn't have a great experience. Quesabirria was very greasy & on the smaller side. Chori pollo said it was "smothered in queso" on the menu description. When it came, the queso was basically water which was very odd. Our food did get mixed up twice too so we had a very chaotic experience which doesn't help. Complimentary chips & salsa were very good. The inside was huge & cute. The vibes for us just were not there this time, but I know things happen. We will make it back for a second visit read more

This Mexican restaurant replaced El Vallarta adjacent to Half Price Books. Plentiful parking. I didn't notice any change to the interior. We were warmly greeted and asked our seating preference. I ordered the tamales meal: one pork and one chicken. Not three tamales as recorded. Hopefully they get that corrected. The plate includes beans, rice and pico de gallo. Very tasty. Super attentive service, had people come to check on us during the meal three or four times. Food came out FAST, we ordered and drinks came out in about three minutes and food was at our table in under five minutes, piping hot and delicious! Had I known food was going to come so fast may have spaced out ordering drinks and food but better to get food promptly vs. having to wait forever! Chips and salsa is super flavorful, and you get a creamy dipping sauce as well that I enjoyed. Ordered a house margarita and they brought this out, said it was half off today and paid $7. Guacamole was great! The rest of the food and service was awful. We were sat in the back and waited 20 mins for anyone to acknowledge us. If it hadn't been for one of the runners we would've left, but she managed to get us at least water and chips. The culmination of it all was when we ordered a piña loca and they served it with fridge cold vegetables. Clearly no one was checking the dishes before sending them out. The second ordered dish (chiles rellenos) came out 15 mins later after what could be eaten from the first one was consumed. Lukewarm instant coffee ended our visit. We wanted to try this place again after it changed name and ownership, but it seems it's just as bad as it was before. read more

After leaving the restaurant I noticed that I was charged $15.99 for the margarita flight when the menu shows $12.99. I reached out to the restaurant and was told that there is nothing that can be done about it because $15.99 is the correct amount even though the menu says $12.99! read more

Ordered a chicken burrito and got steak. Ordered a vegan quesadilla and got served real cheese on the lettuce/tomato side. Waitress never came back to check on us so I ended up not getting to eat half my meal due to real cheese served on a vegan dish. We waited 30 minutes in an empty restaurant for our check from someone who is not our waitress since she disappeared after taking our order.
