My favorite Latin food hands down. The suadero tacos are to die for. Great guacamole, and they have churros.

Last night I was in the Lehigh Valley and decided to dine at La Maya restaurant in Hellertown, PA…read more I was intrigued by reviews citing its tasty modern Mexican cuisine and excellent cocktails. La Maya did not disappoint! The ambience is dimly lit, and perfect for a romantic dinner. On the cocktails side, I tried "Señor Sal" - a dirty martini / Vesper riff featuring their proprietary gin and vodka, dry vermouth, pickled jalapeño, olive brine, and lemon infused olive oil. It was a visually attractive, delicious, and sturdy cocktail. Just what the doctor ordered! Later I tried the house margarita. It was balanced and refreshing. There are options to add flavorings to the house margarita spec for +$2 (e.g., Matcha Coconut, Spicy, Guava Mint, Caramelized Pineapple). My dinner companion tried the caramelized pineapple and loved it. On the culinary side, the guacamole was fresh and flavorful. For an entree, I selected the Carne Nortena - a tequila-marinated ribeye with sauteed scallions, shisito peppers. The steak was cooked perfectly to temperature (medium-rare) and amazingly juicy. The roasted sweet potato wedges (Camote) were also outstanding. Don't forget dessert - the coconut flan was to die for! Service - I believe our server's name was Alex, was on-point. He was knowledgeable about both the food and beverages, and did not rush us. Thank you La Maya for a great evening. I will definitely return.

The guacamole was to die for seems an easy thing to make, but it's not if it's not done properly. Their corn ribs were delicious. The espresso Horchata martini was amazing Bronzino perfect entrée and the staff was friendly and kind. Thank you so much. I ordered the Bartender special where he picks the drinks just asking what our preferences and he spot on hit it on the nose, beautiful location for any party getting together date night it's wonderfully decorated and what's not to love with Frida on the walls. Cannot say enough about this beautifully presented Mexican cuisine thank you. The night was wonderful. The company made it better but the food surely took it to a new level.

A Stellar Experience at Mi Casa Tu Casa - Brick, NJ!…read more I recently called Mi Casa Tu Casa to ask if I could bring my Ocean County College Women's Basketball Team in for a team dinner the night before our season kickoff -- and from that first phone call, their excitement and kindness were unmatched! They were so happy to host us and made every step of the experience easy and enjoyable. They even offered our players 10% off their meals, which were absolutely delicious! The tacos are an incredible deal -- four for just $15-- full of flavor and perfectly portioned. The appetizers were reasonably priced and packed with taste, chips and salsa come to table when dinning in, and to top it off, the staff surprised us with a few sweet treats for the table as a thank-you gesture -- such a thoughtful touch that meant so much to our team. There's plenty of seating and space for groups, making it a great spot for family dinners, team outings, or celebrations. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely happy to have us there. It's always special to support small businesses that continue to support our local programs, and Mi Casa Tu Casa truly embodies community, generosity, and great service. In today's tough economic climate, it felt amazing to dine somewhere that not only serves amazing food but also values people, community and connection. I was torn between four and five stars, I went with five to demonstrate my good faith in that I can't say anything about the taste, it really was delicious. But the portion size was...unexpected. My wife and I ordered a dinner for two and I picked up a large aluminum platter and was excited. But it's a small portion for two people. We both laughed that we're going to need food later. I think we demolished it in 15 minutes, lol. I'm also glad I picked up those yummy looking rice crispy treats for dessert. We had the chicken, steak and shrimp platter- Mar y Tierra. The chicken and steak were very thin, and then three shrimp. So we awkwardly looked at each other for who gets to have two shrimp, lol! ( It was me!) again, it was all delicious. anyway, considering the amazing value and price, the proteins weren't the issue. I mean, yes, I think having four shrimp makes sense when you're serving a dinner "for two," but I don't know if you can tell from the picture, it was the tiniest portion of rice and beans, etc. Those things are so cheap! The amount of rice & beans and macaroni salad, etc. on this platter would be standard for a single entrée serving anywhere else. There was one jalapeño pepper grilled for us to share. It was the most delicious thing... We had to share a single pepper? Why only two green onions? Again grilled and delicious... adding two more green onions would have been perfect. thankfully I am gluten-free, so she had the large tablespoon of macaroni salad to herself. I can't imagine those eyeballs we would give each other if we'd have to split up this bite of macaroni salad, lol! we're going to order the grande platter next time, hoping we will get a bigger portion of side dishes, that one has 7 proteins instead of three. I'll let you know...
