Enchiladas Mole
Courtney J.

This place was dead at 7:00 PM on a Friday night which scared me a bit at first, but since my husband and I had driven all the way to Norristown to satisfy my Mexican food craving, I thought we'd give it a go. The server was friendly and were were immediately greeted, seated, and given menus. I opted for the enchiladas verde while my husband got the mole ones. They were both made with chicken and topped with lettuce, cheese, and creme. The waitress asked us up front if we were okay with everything on them which I appreciated. The enchiladas verde actually had a nice kick to it and the chicken was white meat and not dry. The portion was just right for me. However, I felt that $16 for an order of chicken enchiladas was quite steep, especially considering that it came with no sides and there were no chips or anything else brought to the table. I guess you have to order those delicious looking chips and salsas that I see in some of the Yelp photos separately. There are a few things other to keep in mind. Even though this place takes credit cards, you cannot put the tip on the card, so be sure to bring some cash for that. Thankfully we had some, so we could tip our friendly server. Parking didn't seem to be a problem. There were plenty of spots available on the street. They are metered though and depending on when you arrive, you might need to pay, so bring plenty of quarters!

Been here a few times now. Always amazing! Fresh salsa, authentic taste. Hidden wonder for sure

Ordered a Torta de Jamón and 2 tacos de Carnitas...both were very delicious! I've been coming here for years and the food never disappoints

Been there several times, always a great experience! Food is awesome, service is attentive and…read morefriendly, the restaurant is lively and family friendly. This last time was a challenge as my father is very picky and his dish was too spicy for him (actually quite flavorful, but not for him). Instead he just wanted coffee and cake. The server and manager tag-teamed and took care of the situation. He had an incredible tres-leches cake with a very tasty sweet coffee. When the bill came, no charge for the cake and coffee (I had his entree packet to go and thoroughly enjoyed it the next day). Always a joy to go there. Be mindful the atmosphere is lively and any birthday becomes a restaurant-wide celebration. Get the fish tacos or chicken enchiladas or go out with the molcajete.

I ordered take-out, the Steak Chimichanga and the Carne Asada platter. Honestly, it was just okay…read more I expected better because this restaurant has really great reviews. The chimichangas had hot sauce poured ALL over and it was almost too spicy for my fiancée to eat. He got that before and didn't recall having all that hot sauce on it. My carne asada platter was not great. The steak was super over-cooked. It should've been taken off the grill like 8 minutes before. They could've give customers a bigger portion of rice. It's just upsetting how they treated a take-out order because it's not like we can return it. $48 for 2 meals that weren't great.
