Came here for their jazz night and ended up ordering dinner. It was a busy night, but service was pretty good. I ordered a glass of wine, and the wine was good, but the glass was dirty. My second glass of wine was much better. Staff would do well to check the wine glasses before they put anything in them. Their chips and salsa were generous, good, but nothing to write home about. I also ordered their shrimp Enchiladas with green sauce and that was the best thing of the evening. The green sauce was tasty without being overpoweringly spicy and the shrimp was cooked well and not overdone. Portion was generous in the rice and beans were tasty. The rest of my party all enjoyed their meals and so I would guess that any issues I may have had were a result of being busy and possibly slightly understaffed. Overall, this was a good experience, and I would definitely return! Our waiter on the other hand was very hard to work with, ignored us most of the time. When we would order it felt like he wasn't listening and got our orders wrong. Even towards the end of the night we asked if they serve fried ice cream and he said yes walked away and brought two out. We were only wanting to share one. The shrimp enchiladas are bomb! Our first time here and I went out on a whim, never ordered shrimp enchiladas before, but I like shrimp tacos so I went for it. So good! My husband got the enchiladas suizas and loved them. We also got the queso dip. It was different than I was expecting, but tasty! Walking away very satisfied! Our server was amazing too! I often dance with Mexican food and Pachangas has the rhythm down pat! We walzed right in and were seated immediately at a table we requested. Often when we specify a particular table... for comfort, street view, or request to be further from the restroom door, the hostess will struggle to accommodate but not here because the hostess was the owner. This place has that "hole in the wall" feeling and none of the corporate cookie cutter blandness. Their vibe is nice and the staff are great. The waiter was extremely competent and pleasant. It's located downtown in walking distance of the hotel, the river front and the famous Idaho Falls. Their salsa is made from roasted peppers and it's just ideal. Not too hot and the perfect consistency. I got the Burrito and the wife got Fundido. The portions are great, the sides of beans and rice were delicious, but the star of the show was their Honey Mustard Salsa! It's the most unique tasting side dish I can ever remember. Big fan-the food is generally consistant and service is reasonably pleasant. Cocktails are hit and miss-the last time I was there I had two skinny margaritas. The first was what I was expecting, the second was lukewarm salty tequila. The server never came back to check after delivering it, so I just drank it. What can I say? I'm a lush. My mother-in-law raves about this place. I have visited twice now and both times the outcome has been the same. Service is lackluster, it's a noisy environment, and the food is subpar when compared to the multitude of other Mexican eateries in IF. From their tortilla chips to their rice and beans to their meat there is one common theme: blandness. The food is not inedible but while you're eating it there is no fiesta en la boca which is common when using traditional Mexican flavors. Those flavors must have not been invited to the fiesta at this establishment. Lastly, their taco game is weak. They don't serve carnitas, al pastor, chorizo, pibil, tinga, nor any other traditional meat preparation except carne asada. Won't be returning. read more

Husband had lobster enchiladas. Sweet and delicious. The burrito was as big as the plate. Very cheesy, beefy and saucy. The tamales were fantastic. Came with shredded beef on the inside with chunks of beef on top. We wanted to eat everything because it was so delicious but had to take some home because of the large portions. I love Pachangas. My favorite thing to eat is the Lobster Enchilada. I just met a client for lunch and they wouldn't let me pay. I'm not sure what happened but I asked the waitress for a Lobster Enchilada and blue cheese on my salad. What I received was a shrimp enchilada and ranch dressing on the salad. Passing through Idaho Falls and a hankering for Mexican food led us to Pachangas. The reviews here were really high so we stopped in. We were quickly seated and delivered chips and salsa. It is not your everyday red tomato salsa. The menu is large and we ended up ordering a taquito plate and a combo platter. I asked to swap out the red sauce on the enchilada combo platter and was told it would be 99 cents PER ENCHILADA so on we went with the red sauce. The taquitos were ordered in place of hardshell tacos, which they do not serve. The food came out quickly. The shredded beef taquitos were very good. The enchiladas were good, but the red sauce is fairly bitter and not pleasant to my palette. The beans and rice were run-of-the-mill and nothing spectacular. There were many items on the menu aside from the standard tacos, burritos, and enchiladas which makes the place stand out. We will probably give it another shot when back in the area. read more

Portion sizes were great, food was hot. We went early in the day and so there wasn't a lot of people and there were only two servers that I could see. They were very helpful when I told them of my food allergies and helped me choose something that would be safe for me to eat. We took our two kids and while the kids menu isn't very large they have foods that most kids will eat. Ordered delivery via Grub Hub on Friday around 7 PM. Ordered on line. Tried to call the restaurant 16 times over a one hour plus time period. Nothing but a busy signal. Phone taken off the hook? It would've been nice to get sent on to another restaurant if that's what they had preferred. Food delivery was accurate. Driver arrived and said we were lucky because they were ready to close. The food looked like it was hastily thrown (literally) into its containers. The chile rellenos used to be quite good. These were below mediocre to put it nicely. The taquitos would have required dental records to identify them in an official investigation. Ridiculous. The carne asada was okay and the tacos were passable. Frankly, for about $70 for the whole deal including delivery, this experience was extremely underwhelming. Used to be our favorite Mexican restaurant but sad to say, that is no longer the case. I had lunch here when snakebite was closed and I did not want Mexican. At all. Yet I enjoyed every part of my meal. Service was excellent, atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was by far the best Mexican food I've had in idaho. I would say, for some reason, they wrap their tacos in wax paper and it's ruining their presentation and experience. I had chimichanga which was not in wax paper probably due to the frites tortilla but my partner had taco and basically had to scrape it off wax paper with a fork to eat it. That's not how you eat a taco. Even a soft one. So that's my constructive criticism. And maybe that's saying something that that's all I can say but it's one method I believe they should rethink. I have to admit that this wasn't the experience we were expecting after reading the reviews. Yes, the food was good, but the menu seemed to be lacking to me. My wife actually ended up ordering something that was not even ON the menu, and only becuase the waitress had mentioned it after my wife asked for a spicier dish. They didn't have a liquor license when we visited, so the margaritas were a premixed design. I'm kinda a snob for 'ritas', so I opted for a beer. There is plenty of seating here, though when we first walked in it seemed to have more a fast food appeal than a regular restaurant.
