We recently completed a full pool/spa remodel and outdoor kitchen construction with Cris and team. It was a great experience from the point of my initial website inquiry (Cris called back right away and arranged a visit within days) all the way to project completion, where Cris personally ensured every small loose end was complete. Our 35-year-old pool needed a serious makeover. The pool had an in-ground cleaning system (all the rage for about 15 minutes in 1983) and was on a collision course with a 100-ft. redwood tree 4 ft. from its edge. By November, the tree was winning and the pool plumbing was losing. The pool was leaking underground and the plaster in the bottom had worn away to expose the rebar. On the recommendation of our pool cleaner, Nick Eisenbart (Skim n Dip) we hired Chris to locate the leak and fix the pool. He met one challenge after another-- deteriorated plaster, messy electrical issues and some very stubborn tree roots. But the tree had met its match. Chris is a thinker and a problem solver, always seeking the best solution, not just the most expensive. He removed the in-ground thingies and installed new returns at each end. He outsmarted the tree by moving the plumbing to the other side of the pool and running it above ground, well out of sight under a thick wall of ivy. But, Chris' ultimate victory came last month when we hired him again--this time to take out the tree. In less then two days, Chris' crew turned the 40-year-old, 100' double-trunk redwood tree into an acre of chips and six end tables.
