We are very pleased with our French Grey Pebble. The service was very good and the crew was legit. I appreciate they came back to check on the process after it was completed. Everything looks great.

We can't thank Malrie and Carlos enough for the wonderful work they did with our backyard renovation. The project was the biggest renovation that my husband and I have done together and Malrie and Carlos really made it come together with ease. We did a complete renovation of our pool, including switching it to salt water. We built a gas fire pit, pergola and outdoor kitchen with gas BBQ and replaced a wooden patio and aggregate stone around the pool with beautiful new coping and stamped concrete. We had a large side yard with grass that really had trouble growing due to shade. We moved the gas for our pool and hot tub over to the side of the house where we couldn't grow any grass and also removed a large additional piece of lawn and replaced it with stamped concrete and created our new outdoor living space. All of our plants were 30 to 40 years old and really needed to be replaced. Malrie helped me pick out all new plants for the entire backyard including lovely olive trees and tiny tower cypress trees. It's a true oasis with hummingbirds visiting already! Because we took the entire backyard down to dirt, there was a lot of design work that needed to happen and Mallory was a true artist. She helped pick all of the colors for the pool tile and plaster, stamped concrete, coping, stucco, concrete for the fire pit and outdoor kitchen and guided us through the full design with wonderful suggestions that we never would have thought of on our own. Malrie, Carlos and team worked very quickly over approximately three months (mid Sept to early Dec 2021) and we couldn't be happier with the end product. Due to all the rain recently, we still need to have our stamped concrete and the top of the fire pit and outdoor kitchen sealed, but we will do that in the spring when things dry up and warm up. I would highly recommend Arreola Landscaping and Pool Design for your next backyard or front yard renovation project. It was a real pleasure to work with Malrie and Carlos. Both were very responsive, thoughtful, and patient with us. Their team always took care to leave our front and backyard clean and tidy each day. I know our neighbors appreciate their care, too! Posting some pics of our wonderful outdoor living space!!

Malrie and Carlos were great to work with. They listen, really truly listen. Then, they follow through. My wife and I knew what we wanted and met with several contractors. Most pretended to listen, others attempted to push their ideas. Malrie is a great designer, she understood and fine tuned our design ideas and vision beyond our ability. Carlos was a master at turning our vision into a reality. Punctual, efficient and very professional. He runs a crew of good men. Their work speaks for itself. This was a large 1/3 acre backyard project. Arreola built or installed everything you see in the pictures (garage built by someone else). We would work with Malrie and Carlos in a heartbeat.

Like a lot of people during Covid we decided we wanted to completely redo our backyard and put in a swimming pool. The process was difficult as there were so many companies in the Bay Area to choose from. I reached out to about seven different companies and right away it was obvious that Arreola would be the right company for us. They were very good at getting back to me, answering any questions, and the communication was excellent. I like the way that the contract was laid out. It was easy to see every detail of work that was going to be completed. They started the work in November and was completed under three months. Their workmanship was excellent, and the cost was reasonable as well. If I had any questions or concerns, they addressed it immediately and we were able to move forward. I am so pleased with all the work that was done. They put in a brand new pool with a hot tub with an automatic cover, all new concrete hardscape, new fence with a beautiful gate, retaining wall, lights, trees and grass. Backyard looks unbelievable now. It's exactly what I dreamed I would have. I highly recommend this landscape\pool company! We spend so much more time now in the yard swimming, barbecuing and just enjoying our friends and family. Thank you Malrie and Carlos for making the process pleasing and I couldn't have asked for a better outcome!

Hello everyone we have done our pool and front yard with these guys we really love their work. Malory and Carols are great team to work with Malory (wife ) designs and Carlose ( husband) the hard working man to implement her design. We absolutely loved their work and them as good friends. they are family people who would understand what exactly you're talking about to make your dream landscaping come true and make you happy. Me and my husband looked for so many other companies before but we are so glad to go with these guys. Now are loving our backyard every time we spend time in there. We strongly recommend these guys to anyone and everyone. Thank you Malory and Carols

We worked with Malrie and Carlos for a complete renovation of our back and front yard, which included hardscape (concrete patio, pergola with a fan, DG, lighting / electrical, irrigation) and a lot of planting. It was truly a pleasure to work with them. From the beginning Malrie was very receptive to our vision, creating a design that incorporated what we wanted while also being realistic with us about what was feasible from a cost perspective, and worked closely with us to make sure everything came out the way we wanted. I also liked that, in the design phase, she provided options for us at different price ranges for various aspects of the project. She and Carlos were also really patient with us as we kept adding things to the project (including the front yard, which was not in the original plan!). Carlos and his construction team were also amazing. They showed up early every day and really went above and beyond. In fact, the project finished ahead of schedule. They felt like true partners and advisors for this project, which made the whole experience a delight (how many people can say that about a renovation??). In fact, my husband and I often say how we miss getting to see them so often now that the project is over :-) Both our front and back yard have gone from being a weed jungle to a joyful space and our house isn't the eyesore of our court anymore! Needless to say, 10/10 highly recommend.

We used Malerie and Carlos to do a full yard renovation including a pool, infinity edge spa, fire pit, trellis, hardscaping, front and all the landscaping. We could not be more thrilled with the results and the overall process. Everybody is so communicative and incredible to work with. We are thinking about new projects just to be able to work with them again and have referred them to other friends for their projects!

    a pool surrounded by trees

This is an artisanal pool and landscaping company, that turned an unused small side yard into a gorgeous pool and deck area. Malrie, the landscape designer, integrated my large rock collection (petrified wood, etc) into the planted areas, so it's not only gorgeous but also personal. The pool itself is a delight. The best thing about Malrie and Carlos is that they communicated with us frequently and were easy to reach. Even after all of the work was completed they called to see how everything was. I highly recommend them.

It's adjacent to Larkey Park, so if the shared parking lots get full, you'll find plenty of free street parking. The pool itself is divided into several section - beginners (3.5 to 4.5 feet max depth), diving, and for lap swimming. They have lifeguards everywhere and they do a fine job of maintaining order. The water temperature was perfect. Our 5yo son seems to have a natural inkling for water but he enjoyed the pool far more than the splash pad, which is also popular with young kids. I tried carrying him up on the water slide but he refused. Note: for taller folks, they have a pretty intense water spray on top of the slide that can blind you. Imagine max shower pressure right on your face, LOL! Other amenities are large locker and changing rooms with clean showers, small picnic areas for sun tanning or relaxing, and plenty of benches and tables to store your bags or snacks. They also have a vending machine for cold drinks. Definitely plan on returning when the pool opens up again (9/27/25 was the last day for the summer). A definite bargain at just over $20 for a family of three.

We've been to Dublin Wave and Larkey Swim Center but I think San Ramon Aquatic Park takes the cake: 1. Low entry fee of $8/pp. Big, clean family room for changing along with showers. 2. The main splash pad is a sight to behold. They have this gigantic bucket that gets filled with water pumped from the main pool. It rocks back and forth like a slow bell, signaling impeding doom. Eventually, the bucket tips over and drenched everything and everyone below. It never gets old watching this. 3. They have separate pools for diving, lap swimming, and one with a gigantic inflatable structure that looks like an obstacle course from American Ninja, only above a big pool. As for minor downsides: 1. Limited places to sit around the perimeter. Its crowded here and many folks set out blankets for picnics. 2 Despite a pretty big parking lot, it does get busy so you may need to park a bit farther.

First time visiting this pool with some friends and kids on a weekend. There's a huge parking lot…read moreright outside the pool, which is very convenient. The parking signs were a little confusing because they say "pool permit parking only," but I later found out that this only applies on weekdays. $8 admission is a pretty good deal, although there's an additional service fee when paying by credit card. The front desk didn't mention the fee, and I only noticed it after reading a sign off to the side of the desk. The changing room was clean and tidy, with hot showers and plenty of lockers. There aren't individual changing stalls, though, and the bathroom is located inside the changing room. The kids' pool is probably the highlight. It's very shallow and perfect for little kids, with water slides, a play structure, and a big bucket that fills up and dumps water over everyone. The kids had a lot of fun waiting for it. The main pool has a dedicated lap-swimming section and a shallower area around 4 feet deep where people can hang out. The deep end has an inflatable obstacle course that looks like an American Ninja Warrior-style setup, along with diving boards at different heights. My biggest issue was the very strict lifeguard monitoring. They were watching the pool extremely closely, with whistles ready to go at any moment. During our three-hour visit, I saw multiple parents and kids being spoken to by lifeguards. I was also approached for having a small child on my back in the shallow section. I was standing comfortably in the water, but I was told not to carry the child that way. What confused me was that I was allowed to carry the same child in front of me, but not on my back. I understand the lifeguards have to enforce safety rules, but I wasn't clear on the difference or what additional safety concern the back carry presented. Overall, I appreciate having lifeguards who are attentive and focused on safety, especially with so many kids around. However, during our visit, it sometimes felt like I was being watched the entire time and had to walk on eggshells. The facilities are clean, the kids' pool is fun, there's plenty to do, and $8 is a reasonable price. Would I come back? Maybe 50/50. It's a good community pool, but the very strict enforcement made the experience a little less relaxing for me. ‍
