This is a good choice if you're staying in the area at a hotel, it's walking distance from the Marriot Las Colinas. Almost all the other choices for dining are expensive suburban places that are very nice in terms of ambiance, but mediocre in terms of food. Among the choices with Latin cuisine, this is the only one I found with Spanish speaking clientele. Judging from the other reviews, this might not be the place for you if you were just at a music event next door and already a little inebriated. Although also a little overpriced, that does seem to be the norm for the area, and the food quality and service were quite good. Friendly, clean, bilingual, I enjoyed my two taco dinner, one was fish, the other shrimp. Portion sizes were small, unlike back home but this isn't a fair comparison and no one can finish the Milwaukee area Mexican family dinner plates. The churros dessert was pretty good too. On the negative side, the churros comes in Styrofoam with lots of plastic. It's hard to get them to not serve plastic straws. Lots of plastic waste here.

The chicken bowl is not worth it price wise but it is pretty decent tasting. I just feel like you could get better quality at your local chipotle with a better price tag attached to it as well. The tacos combos are pretty worth it so I would recommend those in terms of pricing. Includes a side!

PRICE GOUGING and outright DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES. I caught them overcharging me, and then the cashier outright lied about the $13.99 charge vs. the $11.99 advertised price. Claimed it was because of taxes when the screen clearly showed the additional tax charge. Some older man came by (edit: the OWNER) and acted like he didn't know why there was an issue. He said prices are adjusted due to special events "like many places." Are you serious?? He asked if I had already paid, and I told him no because I was leaving anyway. He got an attitude as if I was in the wrong for not accepting his "generosity" of charging me the actual price for the food. Said he was going to adjust the price but if I was "dissatisfied" I could just leave. I cannot imagine how many of you have been cheated. Out of money by this shady business. People are already paying for concert tickets, $35-60 for parking, just so that a restaurant can turn around and take advantage, too? It's abhorrent!!! Do NOT give this place your business. Not only will they cheat you, but they'll treat you like trash for speaking out.

Pacheo taco bar benefits from its location near the Toyota Music Factory and Irving convention center. Its worth checking out if you are looking for a more casual bite before a concert or during a convention. You can order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. Service was just ok, I got ran up for quac when I ordered queso but that's ok. There was slight confusion when I mentioned it at the counter but taken care of fairly quickly. Food wise it was decent enough for what I would expect from this kind of shop near major event centers. I went with the 3 tacos, which I had hoped I would be able to try 3 different kinds, but when ordering tacos they have you order 3 of the same. Which can work out if you have more than one person that is willing to trade tacos with you, so everyone can try a different one, but not so much if you are by yourself. I will keep them in rotation when I'm up here for events, but with event traffic I don't know if I would fight it for the food places in this center.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the lady taking our order. She was very patient and helped us find what we wanted and were looking for. She then recommended the drinks and she was ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY correct that they were strong. Everything tasted homemade and was appetizing and we loved that the cheese melted in our mouth. The restroom was clean. We will definitely be back. 10/10 highly recommend!!

Ok so this review is hard for me to write because not only did I want this place to be good but so did my daughter. We as well as 100's of others were attending a concert & wanted to grab a bite to eat before going in. So I must emphasize the place was crowded & both of us realized, completely understood, & empathized with employees & other patrons (it was packed). I tell my daughter what I would like to eat & then I go to get us a table. She stays to order. She finds me & we are #18. I then go to the bar & get a mangolado for us to share from a very nice & patient man working at the bar. When I return we both try it & chit chat for about 15-20 minutes & then a woman brings out chips & queso that my daughter ordered, the woman grabs our #18 & takes it with her. My daughter asks "if she took our # how will they know who to bring the rest of the food to?" (Good question considering the woman put the # back into rotation by the register again) my daughter gets up & goes to ask about the rest of our food & they tell her about 5 minutes they are very busy tonight? (Head scratch) We have finished our queso & the woman brings out my daughters plate. (We have now been here a total of 1hr & 15 minutes) I go up to where the food comes out & ask how much longer for the rest of the order? They ask what was the rest? I tell them a quesadilla. They look at each other go to the register then come back to me & say it will be another 15 minutes. (The concert has already started by now). I tell them it's ok can I just have all of my money back. The young woman proceeds to go back & forth with me they are making the food?? I am explaining to her I've already been waiting over an hour & I can't take food in the venue. She refunds me only for the quesadilla? I explain to her no I want a refund for the whole meal bcz I have been waiting etc. As she is arguing with me a man holding a #18 is standing behind me. She puts her arm out & pushes me to the side & says she needs to help him. My daughter then walks up with her plate & says these are the wrong tacos!! I told the young lady there you go now I need a full refund they are the wrong tacos. She said I can't she already took a bite out of them. I asked her for the manager she said she was busy making food for other customers. Then the man holding #18 says I think she got my tacos. Yup! I took the plate of tacos & went to where everyone was making the food. The very nice man that made our drink (which was delicious) asked if he could help me? I explained the whole scenario, he told her to give me the refund she still was going back & forth with him. He had to go to the register himself to do it. I told him I wanted to really try this place but her attitude is so bad. She started laughing. I said wow your laughing?? This isn't funny. I've worked in customer service for 30 yrs & this isn't how you treat people. I will try this place again when I'm back over there but hopefully they put their employees through some sort of training. I know what it's like to be busy, to be so stressed out but still have to keep your cool or I would lose my job. You can't touch your customers even to move them out of the way & you can't argue with a customer.

First of two stops on football Sunday. My cousin and I, wanted to watch some games and grab a bite. This place did not disappoint, as it had both games on (Fox and CBS). We bellied up to the bar. Had a couple of margaritas, which were fine. I had a fish taco which was excellent and my cousin had the Vegatarian bowl with Veggies. Also very good. Would recommend and look forward to visiting again.

We ordered the Shrimp and Glazed Pecan salad and told 2 different workers that there weren't any pecans in the salad. Neither person brought pecans to us. I will NOT visit this restaurant AGAIN! Also the bar area wasn't clean...dirty glasses were everywhere.

Today I find myself in Dallas TX. I decided to stop in at Pacheco taco bar. The food was good. I had the steak Street tacos. Nothing exciting just lunch. The place is bland with Mexican music playing in the background. A bit pricey for a Mexican restaurant, but the location must factor in. The service was not exceptional but not bad either.

My husband and I tried giving them several opportunities and today was my last day paying for their horrible service. 1. The food portions and price ratio don't match. The tiniest tacos I've ever seen and I paid $15 for 3 tacos... 2. HORRIBLE service and this is coming from a business owner. There is no reason as to why the owner herself should be at the front and giving a terrible attitude. I asked her what type of alcohol beverages they have and she told me to read the menu myself. Then she continues to roll her eyes and give us horrible service. I've personally tried giving them the benefit of the doubt but today was it. read more

I placed a to-go order for Carne Asada fries, a fish taco and a shrimp tostada. The fries were sad. Very very sad. First, the ingredients list from Grub hub did not match what the store actually makes so I had to go after picking up my order and have them replace it based on the Grub hub description. What I didn't realize till I got home was they they just added items to the old fries instead of making it fresh. So my food was ice cold after going back and forth. Plus there was still sour cream missing even after the redo. We threw it out. The shrimp tostada was okay. Not a lot of acid flavor. Pretty bland overall. The fish taco was very good. That is the only thing I would get again from this place. I'm sure the place is better when you dine in. I liked the shop and since it's so close I would try it again but only for fish tacos and maybe a drink. Last comment is that I think this place could be really good if they told more pride in their food. Overall it was lack luster. read more

Pretty good place, never ate at this restaurant before. Saw they had ramen and birria and I HAD to try it. Overall the elote was so delicious and the ramen and birria was a great combo. I should have asked for more red hot sauce they give with the elote, would have gave it a spicy kick. I'm happy and full. read more

I was very disappointed! I had the 3 tacos with rice and beans. The tacos didn't have very much flavor and the servings on the rice and beans were extremely small. I also got the queso and chips. Again not very good. They're pricey for what you get. It wasn't worth the price I paid. I won't be coming back. read more

Pachecos Cantarito is definitely something I would go back for ! Their michelada's are also loaded with many finger food snacks. For food we had tacos de carnitas which was our favorite we even ordered more! The ceviche is also pretty tasty I loved that it was well marinated in lime juice. Our two least favorite items from our order were the Cuban torta and the elote, we didn't like that the elote was the sweet yellow corn which tasted from the can. Other than that the music was great and the drinks were even better. read more

I've lived in the area for years and been wanting to try this place, and finally did. The service was HORRIBLE!!!! From the lady taking our order to the lady bring out the food had major attitude. Also I ordered corn in a cup and it was only half way filled, when asked if this was right got even more attitude. But other folks had corn all the way to the top, especially all the customers in uniform. Anyway, I had hoped for better food and service since I like to support the restaurants where I live. The owner was our server, Pacheco, he was great! The art on the walls are very eye catching and fit the vibe of the place. The drinks were very good, every thing was homemade. COME AND GET SOMETHING WITH THEIR CHAMOY!!! We both got street tacos, mixed and matched & all were good. Get the habanero hot sauce for the extra kick and green one for more of a mild. 10/10 will be coming again to try their paleta "Mexican candy" shots!! read more

This food was soooo good! It is authentic Mexican food and so tasty! My favorite was the tacos de barbacoa. One of the best I ever tasted! Food was cold, to the touch. The ice cream ordered with churros was melted. And all the food ordered left a bad taste in my mouth. If it wasn't next to the music factory. This place would be open any more. When I asked for a refund the servers refused and said that it wasn't their problem. read more

Very underwhelming! I am from Austin so I don't know, maybe I'm spoiled, but this just didn't do it for me. It was the worst margarita I've ever paid money for, and the street corn side was not like any street corn I've ever tasted before, in a bad way. Margarita: 1/5 - I watched them make it... was just margarita mix, ice, and a blender... no tequila ever went into it, and it was very obvious! Pastor street tacos: 3/5 - meat portions small but flavorful Barbacoa street tacos: 1/5 - pure fat Chips & salsa: 4/5 - as good as anywhere, but not served hot Street corn: 1/5 - really bad, no one at table would eat it Beans: 4/5 - people were dipping chips in it Rice: 4/5 - not sure what else can be said I had all of those items and it came out to just $21, so at least the price was decent. I legit wonder if they thought I asked for a virgin margarita. That just couldn't have been right. read more

Had the taste buds screaming street tacos and this little gem was a quarter mile from the hotel, a quick 3 minute walk. Outside and inside seating, festive atmosphere, VERY friendly staff and ceviche! Street tacos for dessert, ceviche first, and was not disappointed. A dinner plate with sliced avacado and two crunchy tostadas of yum in 5 minutes. Great lime and cilantro flavors, fresh avocado, and perfectly finished shrimp. A meal on it's own when paired with chips, salsa, guac and queso. Caved and got a fish taco and was hit with another tasty item. Was not disappointed in any of the quality or quantity of the food, fun employees [family owned and operated], nice atmosphere and great prices. Check it out. read more

Food was okay, margarita was strong but the customer service was more than slow. I ordered two tacos and they took almost half an hour. And when your done eating you have to go back to the same register to pay- it creates a chaotic vibe. I feel it could be run smoother if after you order you pay, also if there were more staff preparing the plates to keep the restaurant in more of a rotation. We were here before a concert so we thought it'd be quicker. read more

Got in from California on a business trip and was looking for a taco place near the hotel. Pacheco was the perfect place to eat. Reasonable prices and great street tacos. I had the 4 street taco plate. The carnitas and barbacoa were nice. And it came with a small side of rice and beans. The salsa was great. Especially the habanero salsa . It was Definitely hot. No weak salsa here! I will definitely stop here again before I head back to Silicon Valley. read more

My friend told me about this place and we had to come try it out. They do have great micheladas. The rim has a candy that seems to be the pelón pelo rico Mexican candy. The complimentary cucumber was an added delight. The food was delicious and generous portions. The customer service is also great. I can't wait to try the aguachiles. read more

First time and last time, we went with some friends that recommended this place we order 4 jarritos , despite not being good they charge us 140 dollars for them thats 35 dollars each! They increase the price without letting anyone know just because there was a concert going on in the Toyota music factory. We asked for the receipt and they told us that they will send us the recipe to our phone which it never arrived and after asking again for the recipe they got upset. I'll never go to this place again knowing that they can change their prices as they wish. read more

i had a craving for tacos while at a friend's place, so a quick google search brought me to Pacheco. i ordered it through grubhub and the delivery process was swift! i really love how generous they are with loading up the tacos. wasn't in love with the price (about $5 per taco) but the tacos were yummy. i wish the grilled shrimp had a bit more of that chargrilled/seasoned taste, but the tacos were really fresh and flavorful overall. maybe next time i'll get fried shrimp tacos. but i'm excited to explore more of the menu options and visit in person! read more

Overall, my wife, daughter, and I had a very positive experience during a non-rush hour time on a Saturday! -Staff personnel were attentive & accommodating -Restaurant was very clean -Most importantly, the food was great! We ordered street tacos (barbacoa, beef, birria) and they were deliciously fulfilling! We highly recommend locals and visitors to grab a quick eat here and enjoy a relaxing walk around the Irving Las Colinas waterfront shops nearby! read more

When we asked the manager about it, he didn't seem to know they changed this. 10/25/25 was 8.25% tax (including alcohol in the order). All recent bills were anywhere from 13% to 16.5% hidden in the "tax" line, not even itemized. I'm sure because they know most won't realize it. This may explain why on a Friday at 5pm (even with a social hour) the bar was empty except for one other couple. Not going to reduce the stars since I like many of the long-timers that work here, but whoever is running the show now should probably re-examine their decisions. #WWFD

I have Celiac Disease and this is one of the only local restaurants that I look forward to eating at. They seem to have unfortunately changed up their menu and eliminated the taco plates. They used to have amazing brisket tacos. Now, their food is really expensive and there are no tacos. They seem to have transitioned to a steakhouse menu. We visited on National Margarita Day so they had some drink specials. We sat on the outdoor patio, not realizing that none of the patio heaters had fuel tanks. Service was okay but we did have to go inside a couple of times to ask for stuff since nobody else was outside (pretty empty inside too). Please bring back your tacos!

The restaurant is really tiny but cozy and you can tell it is family owned. Definitely will be a regular spot for me and will be back.

The manager also came and gave us free beef fajita samples since he found out it was our first time. The flavor and juiciness of the beef blew me away. My wife and I got queso to compliment the complimentary tortilla chips and salsa and bean dips. I was a big fan of the beans too, didn't think I would be. We ended up getting a trio (beef, chicken, shrimp) fajita 1/2 pound and it was perfect for the 2 of us. You can taste the grilled and charred flavor on the meats. The chicken and shrimp were slightly on the drier side but when combined with the sour cream, beans, guac, cheese, they were perfection. For the two people, the limitation ended up being more the toppings to the fajitas but it was just enough. At about $25 for 2, that was a steal. The queso was about $9. Right before we were about to leave, Kayla recommended the tres leches dessert and you know we had to try it. It was solid. Loved the cream on top. Definitely would come back again!

The portion was massive, tender, and packed with smoky, savory flavor. You could immediately tell it had actually spent some time on a grill instead of simply being rushed out of a kitchen. We also enjoyed the tacos, enchiladas, and burritos, all of which had that comforting Tex-Mex richness and seasoning that we've really missed. Unfortunately, we were on a fairly tight travel schedule and couldn't linger the way we would have liked. Honestly, this felt like the sort of place where you could easily sit awhile longer, enjoy another drink, sample more dishes, and just soak in the lively atmosphere. I chose it because the description said the oysters are "topped with bone marrow butter". This beautiful dish had a perfectly prepared salmon. Soft and flaky, but with a crunch from the skin at the bottom. It was honestly one of the most disappointing bolognese dishes I've had. One more thing that really stood out: the interior has carpet flooring. In a food establishment, that feels deeply unhygienic and off-putting. 1/5 stars -- a strong start with the appetizer, but the main course and overall experience completely missed the mark.

Last night I was at this place and saw an incredibly disheveled 40yo cashier verbally and physically intimidate a woman and child (in the most unbelievably explicit fashion) because they entered due to the child needing to use the restroom in an "emergency" situation. A man then intervened on their behalf to protect the woman and child (the entire place was in shock as this employee was clearly unhinged) this resulted in the cashier pointing out his gang tattoos to the man while threatening to murder the man, the woman AND THE CHILD. I sat and watched as the manager at this place did absolutely nothing as the self-proclaimed gang member threatened to murder a small child for using the restroom. I will never go back to this establishment and hope no one else does either. I can't put words together that could ever describe an employee pointing out his gang tattoos to a restraunt full of people while threatening to murder a woman and child because the child was frantically attempting to avoid peeing his pants. I wish I could give this place -100 stars because it harbors self-proclaimed gang members who are super comfortable threatening to murder children. read more

Overpriced and very unorganized. 2 of menu screens didn't work so ordered 1 taco for $5.99. Water glass is size of a concert shot plastic cup. Finished dinner and 2 other menu screens started working which showed the actual meals I could've ordered. All employees don't speak English which they stated directly to me. Place was so messy. No utensils, no napkins, drink machines don't work, etc. Boxes and supplies every where. Decor makes zero sense too. Won't return unfortunately. read more
