After a busy day of sightseeing, we wanted some yummy food to take back to our hotel and eat in the…read moreroom. After looking on Yelp, we decided on Pai Northern Thai. The menu had several vegetarian/vegan options plus all other options. I ordered online and it was ready when we got there. I asked for some bowls and cutlery and got some. Everything was packed well and still warm when we got back to our room.

Yummy Thai food with fresh ingredients…read more For two people we got the papaya salad w/dried shrimp, Khao Soi w/shrimp, and pad gra prow w/crispy pork. We ordered medium spicy for the papaya salad and it only had a slight kick. I wished the salad portion was more as it was gone pretty quickly. It comes with shrimp chips, pork rinds, and 2 small bundles of rice noodles. The dried shrimp in the salad was very chewy though, which made it a bit less enjoyable. I ended up picking them all out. We ordered spicy for the pad gra prow but it wasn't spicy at all. I think you can ask for the Thai chilis/ Thai chili fish sauce thing on the side but we decided we were fine with no spicy. Unfortunately the crispy pork was not crispy at all and was also very chewy. Overall it was still delicious! The Khao soi mightve honestly been the least favorite, but it was still good. It is on the sweeter side. The egg noodles were cooked al dente and had a nice chew. Sometimes when I get Khao soi it ends up being too heavy or creamy, but the curry for this one was thinner and easy to eat. The shrimp was the best part - super fresh and bouncy. In the end I thought the portions and quality were good. The service was also super nice, and it was impressive to see our waitress cover so many tables. The restrooms were also clean.

I just visited this place for the first time . It was utterly disgusting. I ordered some food with…read morea girlfriend of mine and started eating their all day breakfast. My potatoes were disgusting and tasted stale and old and were burnt on o me side from someone forgetting to watch/flip them. My bacon was old as well. Even the eggs were cold. The only thing warm was my rye toast. I also ordered deep fried mushrooms , a dish I haven't tried in ages.. so gross.. They were overly breaded and all I could taste was grease. They weren't cooked/made properly at all. It was terrible. I almost ate expired ranch dressing on them too. I told the waitress it was expired and she didn't throw out the dressing after. She asked if I wanted a new ranch sauce and I just asked for a take out container to eat them at home . I started to look around the place and then realize how dirty everything in there was. I'm the stove there was sausages and eggs and bacon and homefries just sitting there. I then realized that's why my food was cold. It was all precooked earlier and then just sitting there with no wrap on it or anything. Just gross...

Best Breakfast Place definitely does not live up to its name. That being said, I've been twice, and…read moreI'll probably go again. It is a filthy little hole on Parliament that serves up $4.99 all day breakfast. The breakfast is totally edible, aside from the terrible potato things. It's cheap and cheerful, and utterly filthy. Like, I didn't like touching the menus. They were that stained and sticky. They're laminated, BBP, give them a scrub. But honestly, why anyone would order anything aside from the breakfast is beyond me... so you don't even really need to look at the menu. On the right is the grill and a breakfast bar, and on the left are old lumpy booths that are well worn in. I like sinking into old booths, but others fine it uncomfortable. The random art on the wall, and old wood beams on the ceiling mish-mashed with fading red pleather stools and booths make me happy, but overall this place is pretty ridiculous. PEPPER POINTS: For the characters that walk in this joint. You're going to see some stuff when you eat here.

TRDL - traditional Vietnamese food. Good value…read more The entrance of MS Pho Saigon faces the street, so one cannot see it from the parking lot. We took a while to check it out as a result. We were promptly greeted upon entering. The interior was clean and nicely decorated. It felt cozy and pleasant to spend time here. Despite the contemporary decor, the food was traditional. Think of it as a Pho 99 in a Pho Anh Vu clothing. And I think MS Pho strikes the best balance of both worlds, because I liked what I ate. The pho and vermicelli tasted familiar, like home. The Chicken Pho was fresh, and with the old school MSG that I am familiar with. The vermicelli was really well made, except the spring rolls were a bit too crunchy (I am weird I know). The portion was very good, so the value was as good as the old-time Pho 99. The 2 dishes were sufficient for the 3 of us. I freaking love sharing my food, so I love this aspect of MS Pho. The service was friendly, efficient and welcoming throughout the meal. If you ask me, I can objectively say the food here is not as good as Linh Anh. But the nostalgia hits me hard. And the value, as in food quality-portion-price, is good. I will return for sure.

But, as the years gone by sometimes they're inconsistent with their pho and there's a lot of other vietnamese restaurants that have opened up in the gta. I would give the pho a 7.5/10 it's classic and it's good, just wouldn't drive far for it. ambiance is casual and there's many tables, very rare to wait for a table here unless the weekend ur still RARE! Their avocado smoothie is good but they premake it during the day which i don't like because when I drink it it's very frozen so I have to wait for it to melt a bit.

I think it's a family-owned business. Simple but organized, and you can feel it's authentic: most customers speak Vietnamese. I ordered beef pho. The flavour of the beef pho was very different from what I expected. It's very gentle and soft. In the beginning, you would even think it's too light. However, the flavour sticks in your mouth, and you'll feel the warmth and the flavours of other ingredients. I have had so many pho before. They all had very intense flavour. Like they want to dominate my taste buds. I think maybe this kind of soft flavour is the true flavour that Vietnamese people eat every day. I will be back in the future.
