Our choices this time around, included: * Basil Lamb * Famous Pad Thai * Pineapple Roasted Chicken * Tom Yum Seafood Hot Pot * Salmon Panang Curry * Deep Fried Ice Cream Every dish was delicious, with great flavours and beautiful presentation. The dishes were adorned with intricate carvings of butterflies and flowers, making them even more attractive. Great knife skills! The Seafood Hot Pot was colourful and very tasty. The Salmon was so good, we all wanted more, especially the sauce. Although everything was delicious, the Basil Lamb was one of my favourites. I love lamb! Absolutely incredible Thai food! Every dish was bursting with fresh flavor and perfectly balanced spices. The curries were rich and aromatic, the stir-fries had that authentic wok-char, and the pad thai was one of the best I've ever had--savory, slightly sweet, and not overly greasy. Pretty decent! I ordered on UberEats and the food arrived promptly and well packed. Portions are relatively large - the basil stir fry came with huge chunks of tofu and an excellent mix of various vegetables, all quite fresh. The lemongrass soup, on the other hand, was way too sour for me and combined with the spice made it rather unpleasant. My partner and I got the Dinner for 2: 2 spring rolls, rice, chicken pad Thai and red curry chicken. The chicken pad Thai was very filling, and the red curry chicken was very smooth with a little spice. Spring rolls were crunchy, filled with veggies but could have used a little bit more salt. There was also small peanuts and a small sweet sauce for the springs rolls. This was overall delicious and perfect for a park date. Ordered the combo for two via Uber eats (30$ before applicable fees and taxes). It came with a red curry main and and pad Thai main with two spring rolls. The spring rolls were the high light of the meal. It was still crunchy when we ate it. The red curry was a little blend and had cabbage in it, which made us question its authenticity. Drunken noodles - flat rice noodles in a slightly sweet sauce. Served with bok choy, slices of onions and red peppers, scrambled egg and your choice of protein. Great flavor - 4/5 Pad Thai - had a nice tamarind flavor, has tofu, egg, bean sprouts and green onions. The peanuts are served on the side which is nice as you can put as much as you like. 3.5/5 Red curry with lamb- pretty standard, rich coconut flavor. I felt like their menu was misleading as I didn't see any bamboo pieces in the dish. Had a good spice to it. The lamb has a very subtle game-y-ness so it's good for those who prefer that but for those who like game-y flavor, don't bother paying the extra price. 3/5. Pad kee mao - has a nice spicy level but really felt it lacked basil flavor. 2.5/5. All of these scores would be 0.5 to 1 point higher if they actually served portions that were similar to their competitors. Here is what my taste buds felt: Malay curry: they just nailed it. It has been a while since I had such a delicious curry. Asparagus was on right amount just aiding the whole taste. I was in the mood for Thai and I'd ordered from Thai Room a few times before and always been very happy with the food, so on a recent Saturday night I decided to get some grub delivered from this venerable joint. Big mistake, it turns out. I was craving Pad Thai (I usually am), so I decided to go with the Bangkok Style Pad Thai ("Rice noodles, egg, tofu, traditionally prepared tamarind sauce, beansprouts, and fresh chives") and I got that with chicken and shrimp, and requested it Thai Spicy. It sure looked appetizing when it arrived, so I dug in with excitement. My first bite turned said excitement into confusion, as the dish was entirely lacking in flavor. I'm not exaggerating, either. It was literally like eating plain noodles. My dining companion took a bite and agreed, and noted that the noodles tasted off, somehow. Making matter worse was the fact that it wasn't even a little spicy. There was literally ZERO heat in this dish, even though I requested it Thai Spicy. So baffling. In fairness, I should mention that there was some flavor at the bottom of the take-out tray, as though the chef ladled a very small amount of Pad Thai sauce in the container and then piled noodles on top. But it was too little too late by that point (and besides, the sauce was basically tasteless and, of course, not even remotely spicy). I can't remember when I've been so infuriated eating a restaurant's food. I would dare the chef to eat what he or she served me and tell me it tasted good (or even edible). It's sad, really. We went to Cabbage town for a tour. After the tour, we found this thai Room restaurant. We were wondering what to order and the lady explained the difference between famous pad thai and the BKK style pad thai. We ended up ordering the authentic and less sour one - the BKK style. It was actually quite sour...We also ordered a dish called oodles of noodles. The tamarind sauce is great! Overall, food came super fast, the portion does not look huge but it is very filling. Also, checking-in on yelp gives you 10% off. So, we paid around 16$ per person. Not a bad choice today. read more

We went there for valentines dinner. Its a small place with quiet ambiance. We started with starters and Tom yum soup. Tom yum soup was super awesome! Mango salad and fried veggie rolls were okay. The portion is good. We were two and shared everything, it didn't require us to order 2 soups at all. For drinks there were no thai iced tea or coffee , infact most of cocktail from the menu were not available. However, the server made me a mango drink. The good part is she was totally concerned about my likes and dislikes and accommodate as per my preference from drinks to food. For main course we ordered 1. Pad Thai veggie, and 1. Red chicken curry. Both were good. Pad thai was yummm! They forgot to serve rice with curry, and they not only apologized for it but also gave us 50% off on the total bill. They are very much customer oriented, the manager Wayne I guess was her name, Is prompt in following social media updates, also following all customer feedbacks and taking a quick action on it. I decided to try this location on their second day since opening with my co-workers. Venue - not a lot of seating and it is pretty intimate - you can tell that they are still touching up some things for the opening (the hanging lights were dusty and it smelled like varnish). May be nice for a small function. There is little to no waiting area. Menu - Huge selection of Thai foods - mainly curries. Some Malay salads but nothing too exciting. I got the Curry Chicken Pad Thai for lunch. Nice portion for $10.99. The curry didn't taste authentic, rarely any spices to it. Underseasoned. I had to pick pieces of lemongrass from the noodle. The noodles were soggy and the dish overall was watery. I didn't understand the garnish on the plate? Orange and lettuce that I won't be eating. The chicken was pretty fresh but had very few pieces on the plate. I barely ate half the plate and packed the rest to go. Service - I only saw one server and she worked really hard to get the food out and take orders. Friendly service but they may be stretching the quality of service during busy time with just one server. We placed a large order (about 20 dishes) from Thai Room from Foodora, and I was very pleased with their service and their ability to accomodate all our additional requests. I ordered the curry pad thai and added a special instruction to add extra red curry sauce on the side. I wasn't sure if they would actually accommodate the request since the sauce isn't generally associated with this dish, and we couldn't add an extra fee to our order for the extra sauce. To my surprise, they added the sauce on the side in a large container (soup-sized container) and it is so TASTY when poured over the pad thai. I would highly recommend this pad thai hack! The food came in huge portions as well (my dish lasted me for three separate meals), but while it did not taste salty, I found there to be a high sodium content in the food which left me feeling quite dehydrated hours later. Overall, I would order from them again when I'm craving thai food, or may even stop by in person. read more

I really do not like this place and only order from here out of desperation when I am starving and have nothing fast to make for dinner on Sunday night (because Sukho Thai is closed Sundays otherwise I would go there despite it being a little farther for me). Despite only ordering a few times ever, they seem to screw up my order every other time when I pay to upgrade my rice to coconut rice... they always charge me but never put the rice in my order. I have caught it before leaving but this time I forgot and of course I found out when I got home. Their red curry shrimp was extra bad tonight... the shrimp just tasted off and I couldn't eat much of it. On normal occasions, the curry is still not good - super watery and not creamy at all. The pad Thai had nasty looking old vegetables in it...the noodles were way overcooked and mushy, the sauce just tastes like pad thai you would get at a food court. I cannot eat here anymore!! Our new go-to Thai restaurant since Coco Rice had slowly declined in decency. I should note that I've only ever ordered delivery from them, never dined in. We usually get the drunken noodles, oodles of noodles, deep fried tofu, some sort of curry, and pad thai. They're usually pretty good. No complaints from me! Free delivery doesn't hurt either. Only once did we place an order online and it didn't come for probably 1.5 hours at which time we called. They told us the order didn't come through so they didn't get it, apologized and gave us 50% off without us asking which I thought was a pretty good customer service move. read more

If you eat this weekly the invetero effects will be such that your offspring is, more likely than not, to attend Columbia, but also, party in Colombia. They changed their Uber deliver containers. It's shrunk by half. I can appreciate that these are eco containers but the portion was much more in the rectangle container. I dislike writing negative reviews when the employees are friendly. I ordered the dinner for 4 set meal for delivery (take-out). The food arrived around 30-40 minutes later. The driver delivered the food in large brown paper bags. I would have appreciated if the restaurant used those insulated keep-warm bags to keep customer's food hot - like those bags they keep pizzas in for delivery. The meal ($56 plus taxes) consisted of: 4 veggie spring rolls, 1 red curry beef, 1 mango chicken, 2 chicken pad Thai noodles, 1 veggie cashew, 2 bowls of plain rice. Right off the bat, the people in my party noticed that it wasn't quality food. One of my friends said "I wonder if it's Chinese operated?" Meaning the food wasn't very authentic. The veggie spring rolls were good. The beef in the red curry was thick, hard, and chewy - not good cuts of meat. Mango chicken was not great. Some places make good crispy chicken under the sauce. Here, the chicken was not crispy at all. Sigh. Moving on...the chicken pad Thai was separated into 2 containers. It's pretty sad when you say "the pad Thai at Thai Express tastes better". The cashew veggies were initially missed when they delivered the food. But they were quick to deliver it after a phone call back to the restaurant. One thing I was really surprised at was the white rice. I was expecting some decent quality rice like basmati, what I got was some underwhelming jasmine rice (I think it's jasmine) but the rice wasn't really good at all. The most recent experience was through online order. I ordered food through their website at 1:20pm, worth of $70. After well over an hour, I called the restaurant, the lady then realized they "JUST GOT" the order in, as their machine had not been turned on/ connected ! They were apologetic, however the damage was done. And this was the second time this happened! I would never order or go to this establishment again. read more

I ordered Thai Room from ubereats. At first was hesistant with the overall rating, but saw pictures and thought I would give it a try (especially since it was so close as well). We decided to order 2 appetizers: deep fried sweet and chilli chicken wings and the calamari. The calamari was suppose to come with shrimp chips, but because of delivery and being in a closed styrofoam box, the shrimp chips shrunk and became hard like plastic! (don't try it if you order it for delivery!!). Chicken wings were juicy and crispy. I thought it would come smothered in sauce, but the sauce was seperate on the side. Calamari however came soggy and was a dissapoinment. Portions size were big though. The chicken wing order was about 10 pieces! Though very very greasy..... For our mains we ordered their thai room famous pad thai, (10.99) thai spicy noodle (10.99) with chicken, and also green curry with chicken (10.99). Portions sizes were huge! They come in those plastic black container and the curry was filled to the rim! Very good for sharing. The pad thai was flavourful and typical pad thai taste. I like how they give a lot of meat and tofu in this dish. The thai spicy noodle had a good kick, not overly spicy. Also comes with thick flat rice noodles. Very flavourful and definitely enough to feed for two meals. The green curry looked a little watery, but the flavour was good. lots of chicken and bamboo shoots as well! Maybe you've ordered from Sabi Sabi, or Sukho Thai, and you think "I like Thai food." Keep doing what you are doing. This is Thai food for people who are afraid of flavours and sauces. The spring rolls feature large strips of unseasoned cabbage, the pad Thai is also grossly lacking in flavour and the lemon slice included is your best hope for flavour. The coconut curry is the thinnest and most flavourless I've ever tasted. If you are really, really drunk, this might be ok, otherwise, skip it. Attempt two at ordering from here (Sukho Thai was closed). We paid $96 for food that is mostly being thrown out. The "spicy eggplant" would be more honestly called "vat of oil containing some eggplant". The crispy tofu was unpleasant and tasted of slightly-rancid oil. The curry pad-Thai we ordered without egg definitely contained egg, they shorted us in the steamed rice (who does that?) and the green coconut curry (the star of the meal) was still ridiculously thin but at least had flavour. I have been ordering takeout from this place for quite some time through apps like Skip the Dish. I generally order the same thing - the dinner for two. However, I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with my most recent service. I ordered a dinner for two for takeout through Skip the Dish. The driver delivered the order but it was the wrong order. The dinner for two combo consist of Pad thai, red curry dish, 2 spring rolls, and a steam rice. The driver delivered one dish to me and it was not any of the dishes that would be part of my dinner for 2. I called the restaurant and they insisted that they prepared the correct order. They promised to deliver the order to me again. This time, the driver delivered one dish, a pad thai. I am still missing more than half of my order. So I contacted Skip the Dish, but they were no help at all. They kept telling me that they contacted the restaurant and the restaurant confirmed that they had prepared the correct order and left the chat. No resolution, no compensation, and they just left me there in the chat. I am not sure what happen between along the way from the restaurant to my place. All i can say is that, in the end I ended up paying $35.81 in total but did not get what I ordered. I ended up with a pad thai dish and a dish that I have no idea what it was - all I know is, it is a noodle dish. No spring rolls, no red curry dish, and no steam rice. read more

Ordered through Skip the dishes and as soon as I even saw the Chicken Pad Thai, I knew I made a bad decision. The Pad Thai was shining from the amount of grease. Tried tasting it and it was worse than it looked. Extemely bland, had no flavour, and overall tasted off. The chicken was horrible. Didn't bother eating it and tossed it in the trash. What a waste of money. Not sure how you can justify charging people $13.99 plus delivery for this. Wouldn't order here again even if it was free. read more

Discovered originally on just-eat, I started by ordering pad Thai which was some of the best I have had. I love the Chicken/Shrimp combo for a couple dollars more.. Later on an take out date I did a few of the soups. The skewers are delicious also. Sometimes I indulge and have the green mango salad which is some of the best in the city.
